Auckland Aces vs Central Stags: Super Smash T20 Match Prediction

The 13th match of the Super Smash 2019-20 will see Auckland Aces face Central Stags on Saturday.

Central Stags are aiming to go to the top of the Super Smash 2019-20 points table with a win over Auckland Aces. The Stags are currently ranked third with two wins and a no result in five games. After their back to back wins at the beginning of the season, the Stags have now lost two back to back games and will be hoping to turn the tables around soon.

Auckland Aces, on the other hand, are still in search of their first win of the season. The Aces are at the bottom of the table with two defeats and as many no results. They suffered a 22-run loss at the hands of Northern Knights in their last game.

Central Stags performance in Super Smash T20:

Central Stags’ batting order collapsed at 154 while chasing 197 against Wellington Firebird. Only Kieran Noema-Barnett played a responsible 58 runs off 38 balls in the middle order along with a 31-run cameo from George Worker at the beginning of the chase.

The Stags will hope for a more responsible performances from Dane Cleaver and skipper Tom Bruce. The duo will be important in the Stags batting order and seeing the form they are in, it is likely they will bounce back from their poor performances against Wellington Firebirds when they face Auckland Aces. Both Cleaver and Bruce are in tournament’s top 5 highest run getters.

The Stags’ bowlers will also hope to keep their line and length tight against Auckland Aces after leaking 196 runs against Wellington Firebirds. It was the first time the Stags conceded more than 160 runs in Super Smash 2019-20.

Auckland Aces performance in Super Smash T20:

Despite the likes of Martin Guptill, Colin Munro and hard hitting all-rounder Corey Anderson, the Aces have struggled to register a win. The Aces have produced some exclusive innings so far including a Glenn Phillips 106* off 61 balls against Otago Volts.

The Aces will hope for a better performance from their bowlers led by Mitchell McClenaghan. The Aces have 210 and 195 the two games in which they have bowled complete 20 overs.

Auckland Aces will also pray for a complete game and are likely to continue with the same playing with they take on Northern Knights.
