Brisbane Heat will look to get back to winning ways when they host Melbourne Renegades in the 44th match of Big Bash League 2019-20 at The Gabba in Brisbane on Sunday. 

In their previous game, Brisbane Heat failed to adjust to the conditions and were bundled out for just 100 runs against Adelaide Strikers. The side was completely outplayed in all three facets of the game. Captain Chris Lynn will be hoping that the side can deliver an improved performance in this home fixture.

Meanwhile, Melbourne Renegades managed to end their nine-match losing streak in the competition in their last game against the Sydney Thunder. Renegades won the rain affected game by 12 runs.

Brisbane Heat delivered an abject batting performance to see Adelaide Strikers register a mammoth 10-wicket win. For this home fixture, the team management will be having their hopes on Chris Lynn, Matt Renshaw and AB De Villiers to lead the team’s batting effort.

Chris Lynn failed to capitalize on his good start and perished after scoring 26 runs off 24 balls in the last game. He is currently the franchise’s leading run-scorer with 291 runs.

In the bowling department, the onus will be on the likes of Andrew Fekete, Mohammad Nabi and Daniel Christian to make crucial breakthroughs in this contest. 

All-rounder Daniel Christian played a crucial role with the ball in hand. He finished with figures of 3 for 14 in his two overs. Fekete and Nabi bowled well and claimed one wicket each.
