Big Bash League Predictions: Brisbane Heat vs Sydney Sixers

January 23, 2020, The Gabba, Brisbane

After ending Melbourne Stars’ winnings streak, Sydney Sixers travel to Brisbane to take on Brisbane Heat in the 49th match of Big Bash 2019-20.

The game against Stars, ended 3-game winless run for the Sixers, who went to 2nd in the points table.

Meanwhile, Brisbane Heat are coming on the back of 2 defeats, a run that has seen them drop to 6th in the table, and made it slightly different for them to advance to the play-offs, though they still have a fair chance to advance. They have actually lost 3 of their last 4 games.

Brisbane Heat would take confidence from the fact they had beaten Stars by 48 runs when they had met earlier in the season.

Brisbane Heat performance in BBL 19-20:

Heat are coming on the back of a humiliating defeat against Melbourne Renegades, the kind of loss that plummets the confidence out of you. They were bundled out for just 120 in 15 overs while chasing 165. It was more the manner of the defeat than the margin of it. They were reduced from 84-0 with 1 ball to go in the powerplay to 120 all out.

The opening pair of Sam Heazlett and Chris Lynn contribute once again, with Lynn, who had scored 94 off just 35 when Heat and Sixers had last met, scoring 41 off 15 and Heazlett getting 56.

Ben Laughlin had picked up 3 wickets while Ben Cutting got 2 in that game.

AB de Villiers would be eager to contribute after falling for just 2 runs.
