UEFA Champions League (UCL) Match Prediction: Bayern Munich vs Tottenham Hotspur

champions league

December 12, 2019,

Allianz Arena, Munich

Bayern Munich vs Spurs will round off a thrilling UCL 2019-20 group B. The first Spurs vs Munich game in the UCL 2019-20 had seen Munich thrash Spurs 7-2. However, there is nothing to play for in this clash. Bayern are already guaranteed to finish first, while Spurs are guaranteed a second place finish.

Tottenham, though, will be out to avenge their 7-2 home loss at the hands of Bayern they suffered earlier in the year as Jose Mourinho gears up for his first away UCL match following his appointment.

Bayern Munich’s performance in UCL 2019-20:

Bayern should bounce back from successive league defeats against an under strength Spurs side here.

Bayern remain without Lucas Hernandez, Jann-Fiete Arp and, crucially, Niklas Sule.

Youngster Michael Cuisance is also expected to miss out after suffering an injury in training.

However, Jerome Boateng and Corentin Tolisso, who were both forced off in the 2-1 loss at Gladbach, have been declared fit for the welcome of Tottenham.

That said, both may not be risked in this dead rubber fixture.

Ahead of serving a domestic suspension at the weekend, Javi Martinez is also likely to start for the home side.

Tottenham Hotspur’s performance in UCL 2019-20:

Hugo Lloris, Erik Lamela, Michel Vorm and Ben Davies all miss out for Tottenham.

Tanguy Ndombele and Harry Winks both missed the 5-0 demolition job of Burnley on Saturday and may not be risked.

Jose Mourinho has hinted he will ring the changes and give the youngsters a chance to impress.

Harry Kane won’t travel to Munich, so Troy Parrott could lead the line, while Oliver Skipp, Kyle Walker-Peters and Ryan Sessegnon are all in line to start.

Toby Alderweireld, Dele Alli and Son Heung-min could be among the players who do not feature on Wednesday night.

Bayern Munich vs Tottenham: Predicted line-up

Bayern Munich

Sven Ulreich; Benjamin Pavard, David Alaba, Javi Martinez, Alphonso Davies; Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka; Ivan Perisic, Thomas Muller, Serge Gnabry; Robert Lewandowski.

Alfie Whiteman; Kyle Walker-Peters, Juan Foyth, Davinson Sanchez, Danny Rose; Oliver Skipp, Eric Dier; Lucas Moura, Ryan Sessegnon, Giovani Lo Celso; Troy Parrott.

Champion's League: Bayern Munich vs Tottenham Prediction

  1. Robert Lewandowski’s free-scoring run has come to a halt at the wrong time, with the Poland international failing to net in each of the last two games. However, he has already scored 26 goals in the UCL 2019 and Bundesliga. Expect him to return to his goal-scoring form.
  2. Spurs have scored at least 4 goals in their last 3 UCL matches. However, they might not be able to repeat the heroics.
  3. Bayern have won their last 5 UCL matches.
  4. There have been over 2.5 goals scored in Tottenham’s last 5 UCL games. Meanwhile, Bayern have scored at least 2 goals in 9 of their last 11 UCL matches.
  5. Tottenham have won their last 3 UCL matches.
  6. There have been over 2.5 goals scored in 5 of Bayern’s last 6 UCL games.
  7. Bayern have only lost 1 of their 5 previous meetings with Spurs in all competitions.
  8. Spurs are looking to win consecutive away UCL matches for the first time, having won 4-0 at Red Star Belgrade in MD4.

Champions League match Predictions: Dinamo Zagreb vs Man City

UEFA Champions League (UCL) Match Prediction: Dinamo Zagreb vs Man City

champions league

December 11, 2019

Stadion Maksimir, Zagreb

Man City travel to Zagreb for their final UCL 2019-20 group stage game. While Man City have already qualified as the group’s winners, the competition is tough between the other 3 sides in the group. The winner of another group game Shakhtar Donetsk vs Atalanta is likely to go through to UCL 2019-20 round of 16.

Man City will be eager to return to winning ways following their loss in the Manchester derby.

A surprising win for Zagreb, coupled with a draw or Atalanta winning the other game can send the Croatian club through. But it’s too complicated.

Dinamo Zagreb’s performance in UCL 2019-20:

Sandro Kulenovic misses the UCL game with a broken foot. He is expected to return to action next month.

Nikola Moro returns from suspension for Dinamo Zagreb but now the home side have lost Kevin Theophile-Catherine and Dino Peric to bans. They will both need replacing in Dinamo Zagreb’s back three.

Dinamo Zagreb are going to have to shuffle their pack given the defensive absences. Arijan Ademi may even have to drop into defence.

Champion's League: Dinamo Zagreb vs Man City Prediction

Claudio Bravo is available again after serving a ban but won’t start here. Fernandinho is now banned due to an accumulation of bookings.

Sergio Aguero is nearing a return from injury but won’t be risked here as Man City have already secured top spot. John Stones came off with thigh injury against Man Utd on Saturday and will almost certainly miss out here.

Expect Pep Guardiola to make wholesale changes following Saturday’s Manchester derby defeat, coupled with the fact they are guaranteed first place in Group C.

Phil Foden and Eric Garcia will hope for starts against Dinamo Zagreb. Benjamin Mendy will miss their first knockout game if he is booked on Wednesday and may be held back here.

Oleksandr Zinchenko is back in training but hasn’t featured in almost two months. He may only make the bench here, with Angelino given another start.

Aymeric Laporte and Leroy Sane, on the other hand, are still sidelined for some time due to more significant knee ligament problems.

Astana vs Manchester United: Predicted line-up

Dinamo Zagreb

Livakovic; Theophile-Catherine, Dilaver, Peric; Leovac, Stojanovic, Ivanusec, Ademi, Olmo; Petkovic, Orsic.

Man City

Ederson; Joao Cancelo, Nicolas Otamendi, Eric Garica, Angelino; Ilkay Gundogan, Rodri, Phil Foden; Bernardo Silva, Gabriel Jesus, Riyad Mahrez.

Champion's League: Dinamo Zagreb vs Man City Prediction

  1. Man City have dropped points in 5 of their last 7 games in all competitions, including the last 2 UCL games– Man City vs Shakhtar Donetsk and Atalanta vs Man City.
  2. Despite featuring regularly in the UCL group stages over the past decade, Zagreb have not qualified for the knockout stage of Europe’s top competition since before the breakup of Yugoslavia in 1992.
  3. Dinamo Zagreb have conceded at least 2 goals in their last 4 UCL matches.
  4. Man City are undefeated in their last 6 UCL matches.
  5. Dinamo Zagreb have not lost at home this season but have scored exactly one goal in five of their last six on home soil. That could prove a problem on Wednesday night.
  6. Zagreb have won only one of their 5 UCL meetings with English sides.
  7. Man City have lost just 1 of their last 14 UCL matches.

Champions League match Prediction: Inter Milan vs Barcelona

UEFA Champions League (UCL) Match Prediction: Inter Milan vs Barcelona

December 11, 2019

San Siro Stadium, Milan

Inter face Barcelona in a do or die UCL game. They need to at least match Borussia Dortmund’s result from UCL 2019 group F game against Slavia Praha. Though Barcelona are a tough team, the La Liga champions have rested world;s best player for the clash which has given Inter some hopes.

Meanwhile, Barcelona have already secured top spot in the pool.

Inter Milan’s performance in UCL 2019-20:

Antonio Candreva, Nicolo Barella and Lautaro Martinez are all one booking away from a one-match ban in the UCL, though the former pair are expected to miss out here through injury. Inter are expected to be without five players in total.

Danilo D’Ambrosio is the favourite to start at right wing-back with Candreva struggling with injury, while Borja Valero and Matias Vecino should both start in the absence of Stefano Sensi and Barella.

Kwadwo Asamoah returned from injury at the weekend after more than a month out injured but Cristiano Biraghi is expected to get the nod on the left here.

Inter will again be without the services of on-loan Man United attacker Alexis Sanchez due to an ankle injury.

Kwadwo Asamoah made his comeback from a knee injury off the bench against Roma, though, and Inter are also hopeful that Antonio Candreva will overcome a back problem to start against Barca.

Barcelona’s performance in UCL 2019-20:

Barcelona have already secured top spot in Group F and it remains to be seen what sort of team Ernesto Valverde will pick with their rescheduled match against Real Madrid on the horizon. It has already been confirmed Lionel Messi will not travel.

Sergio Busquets will miss their first knockout game if he is booked on Tuesday so expect the Spaniard to be rested against Inter. The same is true of Nelson Semedo, though he has only just returned to training and will not feature here.

Tuesday will come too soon for Jordi Alba, while Ousmane Dembele is also ruled out. Arthur and Ansu Fati both missed Saturday’s 5-2 la liga win over Mallorca through injury and only the latter has made the squad here.

Gerard Pique is available again after serving a ban last time out in the Champions League but has been given the night off here.

Youngsters like Carles Alena, Fati and Carlos Perez will hope to benefit from any rotation applied in midweek.

Inter Milan vs Barcelona: Predicted line-up

Samir Handanovic; Diego Godin, Stefan De Vrij, Milan Skriniar; Cristiano Biraghi, Borja Valero, Marcelo Brozovic, Matias Vecino, Danilo D’Ambrosio; Lautaro Martinez, Romelu Lukaku.

  2. Inter have scored at least 2 goals in their last 3 UCL matches.
  3. Barcelona are undefeated in 9 of their last 10 matches against Inter in all competitions.
  4. Lautaro Martinez has scored 5 goals so far. Expect him to add to his tally.
  5. Inter have scored 9 goals and conceded 7 so far in the UCL 2019-20, expect them to add to both the columns.

Champions League match Predictions: Salzburg vs Liverpool

UEFA Champions League (UCL) Match Prediction: Salzburg vs Liverpool

champions league

December 10, 2019

Red Bull Arena, Salzburg

Liverpool travel to Salzburg for their final UCL 2019-20 group stage game. The Reds need a point to qualify for the round of 16. Even a defeat will see them through if Napoli fail to beat Genk in the other game of the pool.

The last Liverpool vs Salzburg game had seen the PL side win 4-3 at home last month.

Salzburg’s performance in UCL 2019-20:

Cican Stankovic has returned from injury after over a month on the sidelines and will replace Carlos in goal on Tuesday night.

Rasmus Kristensen will incur a one-match ban in the Champions League if he is booked against Liverpool.

Andre Ramalho and Jerome Onguene are in competition to start at centre-back alongside Maximilian Wober.

Erling Haaland could become only the second player in Champions League history to score in every group game if he nets against Liverpool.

RB Salzburg are set to be without Alexander Walke, Antoine Bernede, Patrick Farkas and Sekou Koita.

Liverpool’s performance in UCL 2019-20:

Andrew Robertson will incur a one-match ban in the UCL if he is booked on Tuesday but Jurgen Klopp cannot afford to rest the Scotland international here as Liverpool still need a result to qualify.

Jordan Henderson will continue to anchor the midfield in the absence of Fabinho, leaving Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and James Milner to battle for one place in midfield.

Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane have all been rested at times over the last two matches but will all start in midweek.

Dejan Lovren suffered an injury at the weekend but Lovren trained with the Liverpool squad ahead of their UCL group match against Salzburg. Joe Gomez is on standby to start but Lovren should get the nod here.

Georginio Wijnaldum and Adam Lallana could also return against Salzburg after missing the win over Bournemouth. Wijnaldum trained with the rest of the Liverpool squad on Monday after recovering from a “minor knock”, while Lallana trained separately from the group.

However, Liverpool will be without injured centre-back Joel Matip, who remains sidelined with a knee problem and has not featured for the team since October 20.

Salzburg vs Liverpool: Predicted line-up

Cican Stankovic; Rasmus Kristensen, Jerome Onguene, Maximilian Wober, Andreas Ulmer; Enock Mwepu, Zlatko Junuzovic, Dominik Szoboszlai; Takumi Minamino; Hwang Hee-Chan, Erling Haaland.

Alisson; Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dejan Lovren, Virgil van Dijk, Andrew Robertson; Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jordan Henderson, Georginio Wijnaldum; Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane.

Champion's League: Salzburg vs Liverpool Prediction

  1. This will be the second competitive meeting between FC Salzburg and Liverpool, following their clash on MD2 in which the Reds won 4-3, despite leading 3-0 after 36 minutes at Anfield.
  2. Liverpool have won five of their seven games against Austrian sides in all European competition (W5 D1 L1), losing only to Grazer AK in a UCL qualifier in August 2004.
  3. FC Salzburg have lost four of their five matches against English opposition in all European competition, conceding at least twice in every match (13 in total). At home, Salzburg drew 2-2 vs Blackburn in September 2006 (UEFA Cup) and lost 0-2 vs Man City in September 2010 (Europa League).
  4. Liverpool have only won two of their last 11 UCL away group stage games, losing four of the last five (W1). The Reds last won consecutive away group games in the competition back in September 2008 under Rafa Benitez.
  5. Salzburg have won 15 and lost just one of their last 20 home games in European competition (inc. qualifiers), with that defeat coming last time out on home soil vs Napoli.
  6. Neither Liverpool or FC Red Bull Salzburg have kept a UCL clean sheet this season. The Reds could become only the second reigning champion to fail to keep a clean sheet in their first six matches of the following campaign, after Real Madrid in 2016-17 (first 10 games).
  7. FC Salzburg striker Erling Haaland has scored in all five of his UEFA Champions League games so far, scoring eight goals and averaging a goal every 37 minutes. No player has ever scored in their first six appearances in the competition.
  8. Since the start of the 2017-18 campaign, the two players with the most UEFA Champions League assists are Liverpool duo Roberto Firmino and James Milner with 11 each.
  9. Only Spurs (17) and Bayern Munich (21) have scored more goals than FC Red Bull Salzburg (16) this season. Since 2003-04, the most goals scored by a side in the group stage to be eliminated is 16 scored by Chelsea in the 2012-13 campaign – they went on to win the UEL.
  10. Salzburg are undefeated in 17 of their last 19 UCL matches.
  11. There have been over 2.5 goals scored in 5 of Salzburg’s last 6 UCL games, with them scoring at least 2 goals in all of those games.
  12. Both teams tend to be involved in high-scoring matches and it would not be at all surprising if fans were treated to a similar match to their first meeting.
  13. Erling Haaland could become only the second player in Champions League history to score in every group game if he nets against Liverpool.

Champions League Match Predictions: Barcelona vs Dortmund

UEFA Champions League (UCL) Match Prediction: Barcelona vs Dortmund

champions league

November 28, 2019,

Camp Nou, Barcelona

For all the fantasy football geeks out there, we share prediction tips of league matches that will give them a better shot at predicting and winning.

Barcelona welcome Borussia Dortmund to Camp Nou on Wednesday night in a vital game for group F complexion. A win for either side will send them through, probably as the group leaders, to the next round while the other team will have to wait and see Inter Milan’s results. It will be easier for Barcelona as in case of a loss, they will have to beat Inter in their next game of Champions League 2019.

While criticism continues to go the way of manager Ernesto Valverde, Barcelona are still well placed to achieve their goals for the first half of the campaign. However, defeat on Wednesday would throw up the possibility of an early exit from Champions League, piling further pressure on Valverde.

Barcelona’s performance in Champions League:

With Luis Suarez back from injury, Antoine Griezmann is again forced to play out wide and out of position.

Unless Barcelona stick with the 4-2-3-1 formation used at the weekend, former Borussia Dortmund winger Ousmane Dembele looks set for a place on the bench here.

Full-backs Jordi Alba and Nelson Semedo will miss out for Barcelona in midweek. Junior Firpo will deputise for Alba, while Sergi Roberto is fresh to start at right-back after serving a ban at the weekend.

Clement Lenglet suffered a calf injury before their 2-1 win over Leganes at the weekend but trained without problem on Monday. With Gerard Pique suspended on Wednesday, Lenglet will partner Samuel Umtiti at the back.

They will most probably stick with 4-3-3 formation.

Borussia Dortmund’s performance in Champions League:

Paco Alcacer will miss out against former club Barcelona after coming off at half-time in Saturday’s 3-3 draw with Paderborn with injury.

With Alcacer ruled out, Lucien Favre must decide whether to start Mario Gotze up front or push Marco Reus further forward.

The likes of Julian Brandt, Thorgan Hazard and Achraf Hakimi were only used as substitutes at the weekend to suggest they were being held back for this game.

It was not long ago Jadon Sancho was considered a guaranteed starter for Dortmund but that is no longer the case after a testing few months for the German side.

Raphael Guerreiro and Nico Schulz are in competition for a starting berth at left-back for Dortmund.

Hazard will miss Dortmund’s final group game if he is booked on Wednesday.

They are likely to use 4-2-3-1.

Barcelona vs Dortmund: Predicted Line-up

Marc-Andre ter Stegen; Sergi Roberto, Samuel Umtiti, Clement Lenglet, Junior Firpo; Arthur, Sergio Busquets, Frenkie De Jong; Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Antoine Griezmann.

Roman Burki; Lukasz Piszczek, Weigl, Mats Hummels, Raphael Guerreiro, Manuel Akanji; Axel Witsel, Julian Weigl; Jadon Sancho, Achraf Hakimi, Julian Brandt; Marco Reus.

Champion's League: Barcelona vs Dortmund Prediction

  1. Barcelona are undefeated in 15 of their last 16 UEFA Champions League matches.
  2. Barcelona will be pleased this game is at Camp Nou, as they have not been impressive on the road of late. At home, the Spanish giants are unbeaten this season and have only failed to win one game.
  3. Dortmund have only won one of their last six away matches and have failed to score in the last three. Even though Barcelona are missing key defenders, Dortmund arrive into this match at a bad moment.
  4. Achraf Hakimi is Dortmund’s top scorer in the Champions League so far this season with 4 goals and might scrap another goal.
  5. Barcelona and Dortmund played a lacklustre 0-0 draw in the first game, with Messi coming off the bench. However, this game promises goals.
  6. Dortmund have scored more goals than Barcelona in the campaign so far. However, they have also conceded more. Expected them to concede more than they score on Wednesday night.
  7. Barcelona have won 13 of their 15 home games in the Champions League against German sides, losing 2. They have never lost against Dortmund in 3 attempts- won 1. Expect it to stick this way.
  8. Barcelona’s draw against Slavia Prague in the last game was the 11th time in 124 home games in Champions League that they failed to score. However, it has never happened in back to back games and might not happen on Wednesday either.

We are eager to see the Champions League Results this season and hope these predictions helped you.

Champions League Match Predictions: Valencia vs Chelsea

UEFA Champions League (UCL) Match Prediction: Valencia vs Chelsea

champions league

November 27, 2019,

Mestalla Stadium, Valencia

For all the fantasy football geeks out there, we share prediction tips of league matches that will give them a better shot at predicting and winning.

Chelsea travel to Spain to face Valencia knowing that they need to avoid defeat in order to remain in a top-two position in Group H.

Valencia, Chelsea and Ajax all are tied on seven points in Group H with two games left to play this Champions League 2019. Valencia and Chelsea warmed up with 2-1 defeats at the weekend.

When Chelsea faced Valencia on Matchday One, they were still attempting to adjust to life under Frank Lampard, and the visitors ultimately managed to prevail at Stamford Bridge after the Blues had failed to build on a promising start.

That disappointment acted as the catalyst for Chelsea to begin to put in better performances in all areas of the pitch, providing them with success on both the domestic and European front.

However, Valencia welcome the Premier League giants aware that completing the double over the Blues will put them on the brink of qualifying for the Champions League last 16.

Valencia’s performance in Champions League:

Valencia have huge injury problems ahead of their penultimate Champions League group game of the season, with at least five first-team players expected to miss out on Wednesday night.

With Mouctar Diakhaby ruled out and Ezequiel Garay a doubt, former Premier League defenders Gabriel Paulista and Eliaquim Mangala could start against Chelsea.

Unless Francis Coquelin recovers from injury, Daniel Wass may have to adapt in central midfield for the second game running.

Kevin Gameiro, who only featured off the bench against Betis, might start.

Denis Cheryshev is closing in on a return from injury, but no risks will be taken on the fitness of the Russia international.

They are likely to field a 4-4-2 formation.

Probable starting XI: Jasper Cillessen; Jaume Costa, Gabriel Paulista, Eliaquim Mangala, Jose Gaya; Ferran Torres, Daniel Parejo, Daniel Wass, Carlos Soler; Maxi Gomez, Rodrigo Moreno.

Chelsea’s performance in Champions League:

Mason Mount will push for a recall after only making the bench against City but both N’Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic played well in midfield.

Andreas Christensen and Callum Hudson-Odoi are also pushing for starting roles, although Frank Lampard may opt to keep alterations down to a minimum.

Reece James and Marcos Alonso are options if changes are made at full-back by Lampard.

Lampard is likely to stick to his favourable 4-3-3 formation.

Valencia vs Chelsea: Predicted Line-up

Jasper Cillessen; Jaume Costa, Gabriel Paulista, Eliaquim Mangala, Jose Gaya; Ferran Torres, Daniel Parejo, Daniel Wass, Carlos Soler; Maxi Gomez, Rodrigo Moreno.

Kepa Arrizabalaga; Cesar Azpilicueta, Kurt Zouma, Fikayo Tomori, Alonso; N’Golo Kante, Jorginho, Willian; Mason Mount, Christian Pulisic, Tammy Abraham.

Champion's League: Valencia vs Chelsea Prediction

  1. Valencia have only lost one of their last nine home games in all competitions but currently have a huge injury list to contend with on Wednesday night.
  2. Chelsea had won seven away matches in a row prior to defeat at City on Saturday. Given Valencia’s injury crisis, this is a huge opportunity for Frank Lampard’s side to take a major step towards qualification.
  3. Valencia have won just 1 of their 7 Champions League matches against Chelsea, winning the reverse fixture 1-0.
  4. Chelsea are unbeaten in their 3 away games against Valencia in Champions League. Given, they are a much better side than they were in their last head to head meeting, expect Chelsea to stay unbeaten.
  5. Chelsea have lost just 1 of their last 11 away matches in Spain in the Champions League and though it was in their latest such visit, at Barcelona, expect Chelsea to return home with at least a point, if not more.
  6. Valencia have won 3 of their last 4 home matches in the Champions League, a run that started after they had lost 4 of their last 5.

We are eager to see the Champions League Results this season and hope these predictions helped you.

Champions League match Predictions: Manchester City vs Shakhtar Donetsk

UEFA Champions League (UCL) Match Prediction: Man City vs Shakhtar Donetsk

champions league

November 27, 2019,

Etihad Stadium, Manchester

For all the fantasy football geeks out there, we share prediction tips of league matches that will give them a better shot at predicting and winning.

Manchester City welcome Shakhtar Donetsk to the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday night as they look to book their place in the last 16 of the Champions League. A point will suffice for Pep Guardiola’s men but the Citizens will be looking for a victory after they got back to winning ways against Chelsea on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Shakhtar will be hoping for a result against City as they look to keep their hopes of progressing to the last 16 alive. They are joined by Atalanta on 2nd in the group with 5 points each.

Manchester City’s performance in Champions League:

Rodrigo, Sergio Aguero and David Silva all limped off through injury against Chelsea on Saturday and it’s safe to assume all three will miss out here.

Phil Foden returns from suspension for Manchester City and will hope to start given the midfield absences.

Bernardo Silva missed the weekend’s victory over Chelsea due to a ban and will slot straight back into the side here, either in midfield or further forward.

Look for Kyle Walker and Angelino to return to the side, while Nicolas Otamendi will push for a recall.

Benjamin Mendy and Fernanindho will miss the last group game if they are booked on Tuesday.

Claudio Bravo is suspended for the home side after being sent off last time out in Europe but he wouldn’t have started anyway as Ederson is now back from injury.

City are expected to use their typical 4-3-3 formation.

Shakhtar Donetsk’s performance in Champions League:

Marlos Bonfirm will miss Tuesday’s trip to Manchester after being sent off in Shakhtar Donetsk’s last outing in the Champions League. Meanwhile, Sergiy Bolbat will miss their last group game if he is booked here.

Maycon made his long-awaited return from injury on Friday with a nine-minute cameo from the bench but is not ready to start for Shakhtar just yet, particularly against Manchester City.

Yevhen Konoplyanka has missed Shakhtar’s last two games and remains a doubt on Tuesday, while Manor Solomon remains sidelined along with Moraes.

Fringe players like Andriy Boryachuk and Tete should get starts in attack given the players unavailable for the away side. Sergiy Bolbat and Dodo compete for a start at right-back.

They will likely field a 4-2-3-1 formation.

Man City vs Shakhtar Donetsk: Predicted Line-up

Manchester City

Ederson; Angelino, Fernandinho, John Stones, Joao Cancelo; Ilkay Gundogan, Kevin de Bruyne, Phil Foden; Gabriel Jesus, Raheem Sterling, Bernardo Silva.

Shakhtar Donetsk

Andriy Pyatov; Sergiy Bolbat, Mykola Matvyenko, Sergey Kryvtsov, Ismaily; Alan Patrick, Taras Stepanenko; Tete, Viktor Kovalenko, Taison; Andriy Boryachuk.

Champion's League: Man City vs Shakhtar Donetsk Prediction

  1. There have been over 2.5 goals scored in 9 of Shakhtar’s last 10 UEFA Champions League games. With the kind of form City are in expect the same to happen once again. Manchester City have scored at least 3 goals in their last 3 matches against Shakhtar in all competitions.
  2. Manchester City have kept a clean sheet in their last 3 matches against Shakhtar in all competitions. However, City have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last five games across all competitions and might struggle once again.
  3. Manchester City have won their last 3 matches against Shakhtar in all competitions, it will extend by another number.
  4. Manchester City are undefeated in 12 of their last 13 UEFA Champions League matches.
  5. Shakhtar have scored at least 2 goals in their last 3 UEFA Champions League matches. They might not do it again.
  6. Shakhtar have had a player dismissed in four of their last six matches.

Champions League match Predictions: Tottenham vs Olympiakos

UEFA Champions League (UCL) Match Prediction: Tottenham vs Olympiakos

champions league

November 27, 2019,

Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

or all the fantasy football geeks out there, we share prediction tips of league matches that will give them a better shot at predicting and winning.

Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham face Olympiakos in a must win game in group B of Champions League. They are currently second with 7 points from 4 games but given they face Bayern Munich in their last game, a dip in form may prove costly for last season’s runners-up.

Tottenham made a good start to life under Mourinho, producing a commanding first-half display and opening a 3-goal lead relatively easily.

Meanwhile, Olympiakos need to secure a win to keep their faint hopes of progressing to the knockout stages of the Champions League or Europa League alive. They only managed to draw against Panionios on Saturday.

Tottenham chucked away a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 with Olympiakos at the start of the campaign.

Spurs’s performance in Champions League:

Hugo Lloris and Jan Vertonghen are still unavailable for Tottenham, while Erik Lamela missed out against West Ham on Saturday through injury.

Tottenham beat West Ham 3-2 in Jose Mourinho’s first game in charge and only a few changes are expected on Tuesday.

Dele Alli already looks a different player under Mourinho and is expected to keep Christian Eriksen out of the team once again.

Tanguy Ndombele or Moussa Sissoko will hope to get a start in midfield, likely at the expense of Harry Winks, while Danny Rose could start at left-back.

Mourinho is likely to use 4-2-3-1.

Olympiakos’s performance in Champions League:

Pape Abou Cisse and Konstantinos Fortounis are both expected to miss out for Olympiacos on Tuesday night.

Away to Tottenham in Jose Mourinho’s first home game in charge of the club is perhaps not the ideal game to start Mathieu Valbuena.

They are expected to field a 4-2-3-1 formation.

Tottenham vs Olympiakos: Predicted Line-up

Paulo Gazzaniga; Serge Aurier, Davinson Sanchez, Toby Alderweireld, Danny Rose; Eric Dier, Tanguy Ndombele; Lucas Moura, Dele Alli, Son Heung-min; Harry Kane.

Jose Sa; Ruben Semedo, Omar Elabdellaouci, Yassine Meriah, Konstantinos Tsimikas; Andreas Bouchalakis, Guilherme; Mohamed Camara, Daniel Podence, Giorgos Masouras, Youssef El-Arabi.

Champion's League: Tottenham vs Olympiakos Prediction

  1. Spurs are unbeaten in their last five European games against Greek opposition. However, they have 1 win, 1 draw and 1 loss in their 3 games against Olympiakos. But don’t expect them to lose, given they have been reincarnated under Mourinho.
  2. The stats do not make for favourable reading for Olympiakos, who are winless in their last 12 Champions League games and have only one win in their last 14 visits to England. Don’t expect them to spring a surprise here.
  3. There have been over 2.5 goals scored in Tottenham’s last 4 UEFA Champions League games and it might happen once again with Spurs scoring the majority of them.
  4. Olympiakos have lost their last 3 UEFA Champions League matches. Be ready to make that 4.
  5. Tottenham have scored at least 2 goals in their last 4 UEFA Champions League matches while Olympiakos have conceded at least 2 goals in their last 4. Given Harry Kane and Son have scored 9 goals in the campaign already, expect the streaks to continue.
  6. Tottenham have never drawn a Champions League group stage game at home. Don’t expect them to do it on Tuesday either.

We are eager to see the Champions League Results this season and hope these predictions helped you.

Champions League match Predictions: Real Madrid vs PSG

UEFA Champions League (UCL) Match Prediction: Real Madrid vs PSG

champions league

November 27, 2019,

Santiago Bernabéu, Madrid

For all the fantasy football geeks out there, we share prediction tips of league matches that will give them a better shot at predicting and winning.

Real Madrid host PSG in a must win match if they have to stand a chance to qualify as the group winner. In fact, a defeat could even keep their hope of advancing to the next round hanging in balance. Given they face Club Brugge, who are still in contention, in the last group match. Wins in both the games, coupled with a loss her for Real would send Brugge through.

However, a win would keep them within 2 points of pool leaders PSG, who would secure the top spot if they avoid a defeat. Thomas Tuchel’s side beat Madrid 3-0 in the reverse fixture back in September and that remains their standout performance of 2019/20.

Real Madrid’s performance in Champions League:

Gareth Bale helped Real Madrid to victory over Real Sociedad from the bench on Saturday but his arrival to the pitch was met by boos and whistles.

The Wales international will hope to start an important game like this but it remains to be seen whether that will be the case.

Toni Kroos will return to the side after dropping to the bench at the weekend.

Lucas Vazquez and James Rodriguez both remain sidelined for Zinedine Zidane’s side, while Nacho was in line for a return but is not a part of the 19-man squad.

They are likely to use 4-3-3 formation.

PSG’s performance in Champions League:

Paris Saint-Germain have both Neymar and Kylian Mbappe available and they are expected to start their first game together this season.

Thomas Tuchel therefore has the difficult decision of leaving one of Angel Di Maria or Mauro Icardi out on Tuesday night.

Marco Verratti has made the travelling squad for Tuesday’s game after missing out at the weekend through injury, but Ander Herrera, Layvin Kurzawa, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting and Thilo Kehrer remain sidelined.

Di Maria and Verratti will miss PSG’s final group game if they are booked against Madrid.

Keylor Navas and Di Maria will return to his former club.

PSG too are likely to use a 4-3-3 formation.

Champion's League: Real Madrid vs PSG Prediction

  1. There have been over 2.5 goals scored in 34 of Real Madrid’s last 38 UEFA Champions League games. Expect no less in this game either.
  2. PSG have won 7 of their last 8 UEFA Champions League matches, including the reverse fixture. Though it might be difficult for them to repeat that feet.
  3. PSG have kept a clean sheet in their last 4 UEFA Champions League matches, something that can be banked on.
  4. Real Madrid have seen over 2.5 goals in their last 4 matches against PSG in all competitions. Another goal-fest may be on cards.
  5. Real Madrid have won 4 and PSG have won 3 of their 9 head to head games in all competitions. They are unbeaten in 11 Champions League home matches against French opponents.
  6. Madrid are unbeaten at home in all competitions this season (W6, D3), while PSG have won seven of their last eight away from home. This is a difficult match to call, as both teams have been difficult to read throughout the campaign. However, home soil and history might favour Madrid.
  7. PSG have never won back to back matches against Real Madrid and despite their team and form, they are less likely to do it on Tuesday.
  8. PSG have lost their last 5 Champions League away games against Spanish clubs.
