Tottenham vs Liverpool: English Premier League (EPL) Match Prediction

English Premier League leaders Liverpool travel to London to face Tottenham as they look to increase their lead on the top of the EPL 2019-20 table.

Tottenham have been poor of late, winning just one of their last five matches in all competitions. They had to come from behind to rescue their FA Cup tie at Middlesbrough and their recent record against Liverpool is thoroughly underwhelming.

The Reds, meanwhile, are unbeaten in 37 league matches and have won 11 of their last 12 in all competitions, with the sole blip on the record coming in their Carabao Cup defeat at Aston Villa. Having kept a clean sheet in their last five league matches, Liverpool have the means to shut out a Tottenham side without star striker Harry Kane.

Spurs may have lost only two home league matches this season, but a rampant Liverpool side are backed to come away with all three points.

Tottenham’s performance in EPL 2019:

Moussa Sissoko has been ruled out until April following knee surgery and joins Harry Kane, Hugo Lloris, Ben Davies and Tanguy Ndombele on the sidelines.

Jan Vertonghen could start at left-back here should Jose Mourinho elect to revert to a 4-2-3-1 system, though Ryan Sessegnon is an option for the Spurs boss. Danny Rose is also hopeful of coming into contention of facing the league leaders.

Erik Lamela is in contention for a first start since October with Son Heung-Min set to start in attack.

Liverpool’s performance in EPL 2019:

Nathaniel Clyne, Fabinho, James Milner and Naby Keita all miss the trip to Tottenham.

Joel Matip, Dejan Lovren and Xherdan Shaqiri are all closing in on returns to fitness, but the trip to north London is likely to come too soon for the trio.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is expected to start in midfield, though Adam Lallana is an option for Jurgen Klopp.

Tottenham vs Liverpool Line up:

Tottenham

Paulo Gazzaniga; Jan Vertonghen, Davinson Sanchez, Toby Alderweireld, Serge Aurier; Eric Dier, Harry Winks; Lucas Moura, Dele Alli, Erik Lamela; Son Heung-Min.

Liverpool

Alisson; Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez, Virgil van Dijk, Andrew Robertson; Georginio Wijnaldum, Jordan Henderson, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain; Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane.

Tottenham vs Liverpool: Today’s Match Prediction

  1. Liverpool are undefeated in their last 37 PL matches.
  2. Liverpool have kept a clean sheet in their last 5 EPL 2019-20 matches.
  3. Liverpool have scored at least 2 goals in 11 of their last 13 away matches in EPL 2019-20.
  4. There have been over 2.5 goals scored in 8 of Liverpool’s last 10 away games in EPL.
  5. Spurs have won just one of their last 14 PL meetings with Liverpool, winning 4-1 at Wembley in October 2017.
  6. Spurs have won 6 of their last 10 EPL home games against sides starting the day top of the table, though they have lost their last 2.
  7. Liverpool are unbeaten in their last 8 PL games in London.
  8. Only Norwich have kept as few PL clean sheets as Spurs this season-2.
  9. Liverpool have scored in 29 consecutive matches. The last team to have a longer run in the EPL was Man Utd – 36 in Nov 2008.
  10. Sadio Mane has scored 11 goals in PL this season, 1 more than Mohamed Salah.

Arsenal vs Man United: English Premier League (EPL) Match Prediction

Arsenal will be hoping that 2020 treats them better than 2019 when they host Man United at the Emirates Stadium on New Year’s Day.

The Gunners ended the year on a run of just one win in their last 15 games across all competitions, culminating in a dramatic late collapse to lose to Chelsea last time out.

The result leaves Mikel Arteta still searching for his first win in charge of the club, while they begin the New Year sitting 12th in the table and 11 points adrift of the Champions League places.

Meanwhile, Man Utd had a good run off-late which sees them within 4 points of top 4. They have beaten Burnley and Newcastle in their last 2 games, which seem to have eased their pressure a bit because they were struggling against the ‘smaller sides’.

Arsenal vs Man United Line up:

Reiss Nelson has started Mikel Arteta’s first two English Premier League matches in charge of Arsenal, leaving club-record signing Nicolas Pepe on the bench.

Calum Chambers limped off against Chelsea with a knee injury and may play no part here. Shkodran Mustafi could get the nod if Sokratis does not recover from his own injury in time.

Arteta will hope to have Granit Xhaka available after the midfielder missed the defeat to Chelsea on Sunday through illness.

Bernd Leno is expected to be retained despite his howler against Chelsea which cost Arsenal the game.

Man United’s performance in EPL 2019:

Paul Pogba wasn’t in the right condition to play against Burnley on Saturday but is expected to return here.

Scott McTominay remains sidelined with a knee injury.

Daniel James and Mason Greenwood compete for a starting spot on the right wing.

Andreas Pereira or Jesse Lingard will play behind the lone striker.

Luke Shaw and Aaron Wan-Bissaka will return to the side after being rested at the weekend.

Arsenal vs Man United Predicted line-up:

Arsenal

Bernd Leno; Bukayo Saka, David Luiz, Shkodran Mustafi, Ainsley Maitland-Niles; Lucas Torreira, Granit Xhaka; Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Mesut Ozil, Reiss Nelson; Alexandre Lacazette.

Man United

David de Gea; Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw; Fred, Paul Pogba; Daniel James, Andreas Pereira, Marcus Rashford; Anthony Martial.

Arsenal vs Man United: Today’s Match Prediction

  1. There have been over 2.5 goals scored in Arsenal’s last 4 home games in PL.
  2. Arsenal have lost their last 3 home matches in the PL.
  3. Arsenal have conceded at least 2 goals in their last 4 home matches in PL.
  4. Man Utd recorded an impressive 2-0 win away to Burnley on Saturday. The Red Devils kept their first clean sheet in the English Premier League since September in the process.
  5. Man Utd have won two of their last three matches away to Arsenal, though did lose 2-0 to the Gunners last time out at the Emirates. Nevertheless, they have the momentum heading into their New Year’s Day encounter.
  6. Aubameyang has scored 13 goals in the EPL so far this season. He is just one behind Man Utd’s Marcus Rashford. Don’t be surprised if one of these 2 stars settled the game.

Liverpool vs Sheffield: English Premier League (EPL) Match Prediction

Liverpool saw off Wolves in their last EPL clash to extend their unbeaten EPL home run to 50 matches (W40, D10). The result saw them maintain their 13-point advantage on the top of the EPL table, with Leicester City being on 2nd.

Meanwhile, Sheffield United lost 1-0 at Man City on Sunday, their first away league defeat of the season. The defeat meant they dropped to 8th in the table.

This is the first English Premier League meeting between the two sides at Anfield since 2007 when Robbie Fowler scored a brace in a 4-0 win for Liverpool.

Liverpool’s performance in EPL 2019:

Jordan Henderson recovered from a knock to start Sunday’s hard fought win over Wolves.

Jurgen Klopp resisted wholesale changes at the weekend but will surely look to bring in fresh legs here.

Divock Origi, Naby Keita and James Milner will push for starts.

Alex Oxlade Chamberlain, Nathaniel Clyne, Joel Matip, Fabinho, Dejan Lovren and Xherdan Shaqiri are all out.

Adam Lallana is likely to drop to the bench with Naby Keita likely to come in. However, James Milner is another option and could slot in a right-back if Klopp wishes to rest Alexander-Arnold ahead of the FA Cup Merseyside Derby.

Sheffield United’s performance in EPL 2019:

John Lundstram failed a fitness test prior to their defeat to Manchester City on Sunday and remains a doubt here. Simon Moore is also still a doubt.

David McGoldtrick and Oliver McBurnie will push for recalls, with some changes expected by Chris Wilder at Anfield.

Liverpool vs Sheffield Line up:

Liverpool

Alisson; Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez, Virgil van Dijk, Andrew Robertson; Jordan Henderson, Naby Keita, James Milner; Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane.

Sheffield

Dean Henderson; Chris Basham, John Egan, Jack O’Connell; George Baldock, Oliver Norwood, Luke Freeman, John Fleck, Enda Stevens; Oliver McBurnie, David McGoldrick.

Liverpool vs Sheffield: Today’s Match Prediction

  1. Sheffield’s lost against Man City was their first away defeat in EPL and they would be eager to put that behind and continue their away form.
  2. Liverpool have won 3 of their last 5 meetings with Sheffield in all competition.
  3. Sadio Mane has been directly involved in more EPL goals than any other Liverpool player this season -16.
  4. Oliver Norwood has created more chances (29) than any other Sheffield United player in the EPL this season.
  5. Liverpool have won their last 17 home matches in the PL.
  6. Liverpool have been winning at both half time and full time in 11 of their last 12 home matches in PL.
  7. Liverpool have kept a clean sheet in their last 4 matches in PL.
  8. There have been under 2.5 goals scored in 7 of Sheff Utd’s last 8 EPL away games.
  9. Sadio Mane has scored 1 more EPL goal than Mohamed Salah this season and is Liverpool’s top scorer. In addition, Mane also has 6 assists. However, Trent Alexander- Arnold has been outstanding. He has 8 assists so far. He is only behind Man City’s Kevin de Bruyne in terms of assists.

Man City vs Everton: English Premier League (EPL) Match Prediction

Everton will be looking to continue their 100% start under Ancelotti when they travel to the champions Man City on New Year’s Day.

Man City returned to winning ways in the EPL with a 2-0 home win against Sheffield United on Sunday, and would be looking to continue their momentum.

Meanwhile, Carlo Ancelotti has won his first two games in charge of Everton but faces his toughest test to date here.

This is only the third ever meeting between the two managers and Ancelotti won the previous two when his Real Madrid side beat Pep’s Bayern Munich twice in the Champions League semi-finals in 2014.

Despite Ancelotti’s superior head-to-head record with Guardiola, City are favourites and expected to win on New Year’s Day.

Man City’s performance in EPL 2019:

Ederson returns from suspension and will regain his place in goal.

Gabriel Jesus was fit enough to make the bench against Sheffield United but Sergio Aguero is expected to start here.

John Stones and David Silva are still doubtful while long term absentees Leroy Sane and Aymeric Laporte are out.

Ilkay Gundogan, Nicolas Otamendi and Benjamin Mendy will push for recalls against Everton.

Eric Garcia will hope to keep his place in central defence after City kept a clean sheet against Sheffield United on Sunday.

Everton’s performance in EPL 2019:

Fabian Delph should be recalled to the starting XI to face his former club.

Carlo Ancelotti may revert back to a three-man defence at the Etihad, with Seamus Coleman, Yerry Mina and Lucas Digne returning to the side.

Alex Iwobi, Andre Gomes, Jean-Philippe Gbamin and Cuco Martina are all still out while Beni Baningime and Morgan Schneiderlin are doubtful.

Man City vs Everton Line up:

Man City

Ederson; Kyle Walker, Eric Garcia, Fernandinho, Oleksandr Zinchenko; Kevin De Bruyne, Ilkay Gundogan, Rodrigo; Bernardo Silva, Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling.

Everton

Jordan Pickford; Seamus Coleman, Yerry Mina, Michael Keane; Djibril Sidibe, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Fabian Delph, Lucas Digne; Bernard; Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison.

Man City vs Everton: Today’s Match Prediction

  1. Man City kept their first clean sheet at home since October against Sheffield.
  2. Man City have won their last 4 matches against Everton in all competitions. They have never won 5 in a tow against the Toffees.
  3. There have been over 2.5 goals scored in 5 of Everton’s last 6 away games in the English Premier League.
  4. Man City have scored at least 2 goals in their last 4 matches against Everton in all competitions.
  5. Everton are undefeated in their last 5 matches PL.
  6. Kevin De Bruyne has scored 7 goals in addition to 12 assists. He is expected to add to his tally.
  7. Sergio Aguero has scored 10 EPL goals this season. He is just 1 behind Raheem Sterling, who is City’s top scorer this season.
  8. Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been in great form of late. It has seen his EPL tally reach 8, 2 more than Richarlison.
  9. Everton are winless in their last 8 EPL away games against Man City (Draw-4, loss-4). However, 3 of their last 4 visits to Etihad have ended in draws.

Man City vs Sheffield United: English Premier League (EPL) Prediction

Man City are in danger of slipping into freefall after conceding two goals in the final eight minutes of normal time to lose 3-2 away to Wolves on Friday. The defending champions are 14 points off Liverpool and the Reds have a game in hand. The title race is over and now they need to ensure they aren’t dragged into the race to finish fourth as they host Sheffield United.

Meanwhile, Sheffield United are remarkably seventh in the Premier League. They are level on points with Tottenham and ahead of the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal. The Blades are incredibly unbeaten in away league matches this season and have a real opportunity to prolong that streak against a City side in crisis.

This is the first meeting between the two sides since an FA Cup meeting 11 years ago that ended 2-1 to the Blades. Daniel Sturridge scored the lone goal for City on that occasion. A lot has changed since then for both clubs.

Man City performance in EPL 2019:

Ederson is suspended after being sent off in Friday’s 3-2 defeat away to Wolves. Claudio Bravo will deputise.

There will be some tired legs in the Manchester City camp and Pep Guardiola will have no choice but to wield changes here.

Sergio Aguero was sacrificed midway through the first half as a result of Ederson’s red card and will be fine to start here.

Kevin De Bruyne was substituted off during the second half with this game in mind, so it’s safe to assume he will start against Sheffield United.

Phil Foden, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Ilkay Gundogan will push for starts on Sunday. Guardiola will hope to have Gabriel Jesus available after the Brazilian missed out against Wolves through illness.

Man City predicted XI: Claudio Bravo; Oleksandr Zinchenko, Fernandinho, Nicolas Otamendi, Joao Cancelo; Kevin de Bruyne, Ilkay Gundogan, Phil Foden; Raheem Sterling, Sergio Aguero, Riyad Mahrez.

Sheffield United performance in EPL 2019:

Back-up goalkeeper Simon Moore is the only injury concern for Sheffield United ahead of Sunday’s trip to the Etihad.

With Manchester City on the ropes, it would be a shame if fitness concerns didn’t allow Chris Wilder to name his strongest side.

The only possible changes may come in attack, with Lys Mousset rotating with one of the strikers.

Sheffield United predicted XI: Dean Henderson; Chris Basham, John Egan, Jack O’Connell; Enda Stevens, John Fleck, Oliver Norwood, John Lundstram, George Baldock; David McGoldrick, Lys Mousset.

Man City vs Sheffield United: Today’s Match Prediction

  1. Manchester City have conceded 23 PL goals in 19 games this season
  2. Raheem Sterling has been involved in 24 goals in all competitions this season- 20 goals, 4 assists.
  3. No player has provided more assists in Europe’s big five leagues this season than Manchester City’s Kevin de Bruyne (11).
  4. Man City have won 25 of their last 29 home matches in PL.
  5. There have been over 2.5 goals scored in Man City’s last 10 PL games.
  6. Man City have kept a clean sheet in their last 3 home matches against Sheff Utd in all competitions.
  7. There have been under 2.5 goals scored in 6 of Sheff Utd’s last 7 away games in PL.
  8. Sheff Utd are undefeated in their last 9 away matches in PL.
  9. Man City have scored at least 2 goals in 6 of their last 7 matches in PL.

Liverpool vs Wolves: English Premier League (EPL) Match Prediction

Liverpool will host a Wolves side full on confidence during their Premier League clash on Sunday. Liverpool had a dream Christmas. They won the Club World Cup and have opened up a 13-point lead on top of the PL table with a game in hand. They thrashed Leicester in their last game.

Meanwhile, Wolves came from behind to beat Man City 3-2 on Friday night to break into the top 5. Their brilliant run against the ‘big 6’ make it an awesome game on papers. However, Liverpool had an extra day rest and also have far better depth compared to Wolves.

Liverpool performance in EPL 2019:

Liverpool will wear the golden Badge of FIFA World Champions in the Premier League against Wolves at Anfield on Sunday.

Given the manner of Liverpool’s lead in the title race, coupled with the amount of games they have played in quick succession, on different continents, over the festive period, do not be surprised to see Jurgen Klopp shuffle his pack here.

Klopp doesn’t have many options in defence, however, unless James Milner drops in at right or left-back to give Trent Alexander-Arnold or Andrew Robertson, respectively, a rest.

The likes of Adam Lallana, Xherdan Shaqiri and Divock Origi will hope to get rare starts if changes are made for Sunday, though Wolves represent a very difficult task.

Jordan Henderson suffered a cut leg in the win over Leicester on Boxing Day but Klopp afterwards insisted the injury was nothing serious and that his captain wanted to stay on. He may give him a rest here, however.

Liverpool predicted XI: Alisson; Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez, Virgil van Dijk, Andrew Robertson; Naby Keita, James Milner, Georginio Wijnaldum; Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane.

Wolves performance in EPL 2019:

Nuno will have to check on the fitness levels of his players after they gave absolutely everything to beat Manchester City 3-2 on Friday night.

It would be a shame for the spectacle if the quick turnaround between matches prevents Wolves from fielding players like Adama Traore and Raul Jimenez at Anfield.

Willy Boly (ankle) and Morgan Gibbs-White (back) are out.

Jonny looked in trouble against Man City and might be replaced by Ruben Vinagre

Wolves predicted XI: Rui Patricio; Leander Dendoncker, Conor Coady, Romain Saiss; Matt Doherty, Ruben Neves, Joao Moutinho, Ruben Vinagre; Adama Traore, Raul Jimenez, Diogo Jota.

Liverpool vs Wolves: Today’s Match Prediction

  1. The Wolves have picked up 14 points from losing positions in PL this season, more than any other side in the division.
  2. Liverpool have won their last 16 home matches in PL.
  3. Liverpool have scored at least 2 goals in their last 16 home matches in PL.
  4. There have been over 2.5 goals scored in 8 of Liverpool’s last 9 PL games.
  5. Liverpool have kept a clean sheet in their last 3 PL matches.
  6. There have been over 2.5 goals scored in Wolves’ last 4 PL games.
  7. Wolves are undefeated in 13 of their last 14 PL matches.
  8. Wolves have scored at least 2 goals in their last 3 away PL matches.
  9. Wolves have won 6, drawn 6 and lost 6 of their last 18 games against ‘Big 6’.
  10. Wolves’ Raul Jimenez has been directly involved in 26 goals in all competitions this season (17 goals, nine assists) – more than any other Premier League player.

Burnley vs Man United: English Premier League (EPL) Match Prediction

Man United travel to face Burnley in the English Premier League following their thumping win against Boxing Day win over Newcastle. They will be looking to make it successive EPL wins. However, consistency has been a real problem this term, but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are currently within touching distance of the fourth Champions League spot.

Meanwhile, Burnley are coming on the back of a 1-0 defeat against Everton which saw their 2-game winning streak end. They would like to get back to winning ways and sense the opportunities knowing Man United have struggled against the ‘average’ sides so far in EPL.

Burnley vs Man United Line up:

Burnley forward Ashley Barnes is set to return to the starting line-up at home to Manchester United after being rested for the defeat at Everton.

Midfielder Jeff Hendrick is back after missing that match through suspension, although Johan Berg Gudmundsson’s first appearance since early October after coming on as a substitute gives Sean Dyche more options.

Winger Aaron Lennon could return after illness while Matej Vydra is back in the squad having been given time off following the birth of his baby on Christmas Eve.

Johann Gudmundsson returned from injury in the 1-0 defeat to Everton.

Man United’s performance in EPL 2019:

Scott McTominay looks set to miss Manchester United’s trip to Turf Moor. The Scotland midfielder was replaced by Paul Pogba at half-time against Newcastle on Boxing Day with what manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer suspects is knee ligament damage. McTominay was seen leaving Old Trafford on crutches.

Axel Tuanzebe missed Thursday’s match through injury, while Marcos Rojo, Timothy Fosu-Mensah and Eric Bailly are long-term absentees. Nemanja Matic and Diogo Dalot are among those pushing to be included in the squad for Burnley.

Despite scoring against Newcastle, Mason Greenwood is expected to drop to the bench for Daniel James at Burnley.

Paul Pogba got 45 minutes under his belt on Boxing Day and will surely come into consideration for a start at Turf Moor.

Andreas Pereira played well against Newcastle and will challenge Jesse Lingard for a starting berth here.

Luke Shaw has suffered from muscle injuries in the past and two games in the space of a couple of days may put him in serious danger of another. Ashley Young is on standby.

Burnley vs Man United Predicted line-up:

Burnley

Nick Pope; Matthew Lowton, James Tarkowski, Ben Mee, Charlie Taylor; Jeff Hendrick, Ashley Westwood, Jack Cork, Dwight McNeil; Chris Wood, Ashley Barnes.

Man United

David de Gea; Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Ashley Young; Fred, Paul Pogba; Marcus Rashford, Jesse Lingard, Danie James; Anthony Martial.

Burnley vs Man United: Today’s Match Prediction

  1. Since winning their first ever English Premier League meeting with Man Utd in August 2009, Burnley are winless in their subsequent nine against them in the competition (D4 L5).
  2. Manchester United have conceded just one goal in their five English Premier League away games against Burnley, keeping a clean sheet in each of the last four and winning the last three.
  3. Burnley haven’t lost their last league game in a calendar year since 2012 (0-1 vs Leicester in the Championship), winning three and drawing three since.
  4. Manchester United haven’t lost their last league game in a calendar year since 2011 (2-3 vs Blackburn Rovers), winning four and drawing three since.
  5. None of Burnley’s last 16 English Premier League home games have finished level, with the Clarets winning eight and losing eight at Turf Moor. No other side is a longer run without a draw at home in the competition.
  6. Burnley have seen under 2.5 goals in their last 6 home matches against Man Utd in all competitions.
  7. Man Utd have kept a clean sheet in their last 4 away matches against Burnley in all competitions.
  8. Man Utd have won their last 3 away matches against Burnley in all competitions.
  9. There have been under 2.5 goals scored in Burnley’s last 3 EPL games.

Arsenal vs Chelsea: English Premier League (EPL) Match Prediction

After managing a draw against Bournemouth in Mikel Arteta’s first game in charge, Arsenal host Chelsea in a bid to move up in the table. They are currently in the bottom half of the table.

Meanwhile, Chelsea will look to bounce back from their 2-0 loss to Southampton as their lead in top 4 is almost blown and another dropped point might see them drop out of Champions League spot.

Arsenal’s performance in EPL 2019:

Calum Chambers is available again after serving a one-match ban. As Sokratis came off against Bournemouth with a knock, Chambers could slot straight into defence here.

Mesut Ozil recovered from injury to start Mikel Arteta’s first game in charge of Arsenal.

Nicolas Pepe and Matteo Guendouzi will hope to benefit from any rotation applied.

Gabriel Martinelli (thigh) missed out on Boxing Day through injury and remains a doubt. Hector Bellerin (hamstring), Rob Holding (knee) and Dani Cellabos (hamstring) will be assessed, while Sead Kolasinac (ankle) and Kieran Tierney (shoulder) remain out.

Chelsea’s performance in EPL 2019:

Frank Lampard will certainly make changes from the side that lost 2-0 at home to Southampton on Boxing Day.

The Chelsea head coach will desperately hope Mason Mount is fit enough to start, while Mateo Kovacic will return to the side after missing out on Thursday through suspension.

Marcos Alonso will hope to start at left-back, but Lampard may opt for Cesar Azpilicueta on that side and Reece James at right-back.

Despite struggling against Southampton, Lampard afterwards suggested Callum Hudson-Odoi would be rewarded with game time after impressing in training.

Reece James and Marcos Alonso missed the defeat by Southampton, with the latter more likely to be fit to play.

Arsenal vs Chelsea Line up:

Arsenal

Bernd Leno; Bukayo Saka, David Luiz, Calum Chambers, Ainsley Maitland-Niles; Matteo Guendouzi, Granit Xhaka; Nicolas Pepe, Mesut Ozil, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang; Alexandre Lacazette.

Chelsea

Kepa Arrizabalega; Reece James, Antonio Rudiger, Fikayo Tomori, Cesar Azpilicueta; Mason Mount, Mateo Kovacic, N’Golo Kante; Willian, Tammy Abraham, Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Arsenal vs Chelsea: Today’s Match Prediction

  1. Chelsea have lost five of their last seven in the English Premier League.
  2. Chelsea haven’t kept a clean sheet in each of their last nine matches in all competitions. Arsenal, meanwhile, have kept just one in their last 16.
  3. There have been over 2.5 goals scored in Arsenal’s last 3 home games in the EPL.
  4. There have been under 2.5 goals scored in Chelsea’s last 3 games in EPL.
  5. Arsenal have failed to win 10 of their last 11 matches in EPL.
  6. Arsenal have conceded at least 2 goals in their last 3 home matches in EPL.
  7. Arsenal are undefeated in their last 5 home matches against Chelsea in all competitions.
  8. Chelsea have only lost their final league match in one of the last 16 calendar years, back in 2011.
  9. Arsenal lost their final league game of 2018, 5-1 against Liverpool. They’ve not lost their last league game in consecutive calendar years since 1994/1995 (vs QPR and Wimbledon).
  10. Arsenal have never lost a English Premier League home game against Chelsea when they’ve scored the first goal, winning 11 and drawing four of their 15 such games.

Wolves vs Manchester City: English Premier League Match Prediction

For all the fantasy football geeks out there, we share prediction tips of league matches that will give them a better shot at predicting and winning. Starting with EPL 2019.

Man City travel to Molineux to face Wolves in the EPL on Friday night with an intention to avenge their 2-0 loss to them in the return English Premier League fixtures in October. While Man City are riding on confidence after comfortable wins over Arsenal and Leicester in their last 2 EPL games, Wolves too are coming on the back of another come-from-behind win against Norwich.

Man City are 11 pts behind EPL leaders Liverpool (before the gameweek) on 3rd in the table while Wolves have a similar gap with City and are placed 6th.  They are having another good season, which has seen them lose just 3 games in the EPL so far. However, they have played 9 draws.

Wolves performance in EPL 2019:

Nuno Espirito Santo has no fresh injury concerns for Friday’s welcome of Manchester City.

With the extra day of rest, Nuno may name an unchanged side from the weekend.

Adama Traore had scored a brace when the 2 sides met last time and might trouble the City defence once again.

Man City’s performance in EPL 2019:

Man City have won four on the bounce in all competitions since losing the Manchester derby earlier this month.

Sergio Aguero made his return from injury from the bench on Saturday. Pep Guardiola now needs to decide whether to start him or Gabriel Jesus on Friday.

Riyad Mahrez starred against former club Leicester but he has struggled to nail down a regular starting berth at City.

Rodrigo should return to the starting XI, but David Silva and John Stones look set to miss out through injury once again.

Angelino, Benjamin Mendy and Oleksandr Zinchenko compete to start at right-back.

Ilkay Gundogan picked up a knock against Leicester and that could pave the way for Phil Foden to start here, unless Bernardo Silva stays in central midfield.

Kevin De Bruyne had Man City fans worried when he limped off in the closing stages against Leicester, but he was quick to ease concerns over his fitness by insisting that it was only cramp and the Belgian should be available for this one.

Rodri, Raheem Sterling and Bernardo Silva are all one booking away from a ban.

Wolves vs Manchester City Line up:

Wolves

Rui Patricio; Romain Saiss, Conor Coady, Leander Dendoncker; Matt Doherty, Ruben Neves, Joao Moutinho, Jonny; Diogo Jota, Raul Jimenez, Adama Traore.

Man City

Ederson; Kyle Walker, Nicolas Otamendi, Fernandinho, Benjamin Mendy; Phil Foden, Rodrigo, Kevin de Bruyne; Bernardo Silva, Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling.

Wolves vs Manchester City: Today’s Match Prediction

  1. There have been over 2.5 goals scored in Man City’s last 9 EPL games.
  2. Man City have scored at least 2 goals in 16 of their last 19 EPL matches.
  3. Wolves are undefeated in 12 of their last 13 EPL matches.
  4. There have been over 2.5 goals scored in Wolves’ last 3 EPL games.
  5. Wolves have lost just 1 of their last 4 games against Man City in all competitions. They won 1 and drew 2- of which 1 they won on penalties.
  6. After Liverpool, Wolves have lost the least number of English Premier League games in 2019-20 so far. However, they have drawn 9 games- most in EPL 2019-20 so far.
  7. Wolves have only lost one of their last 13 league matches and have a super record against the top-six since the beginning of last season.
  8. Man City have only kept one clean sheet in their last 13 matches in all competitions.

Manchester United vs Newcastle: English Premier League (EPL) Prediction

For all the fantasy football geeks out there, we share prediction tips of league matches that will give them a better shot at predicting and winning. Starting with EPL 2019.

Manchester United host Newcastle in English Premier League as they look to bounce back from another below par performance which saw them lose 2-0 to Watford on Sunday. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side still cannot find a way to play when the opposition give them most of the ball and the same problems will likely rear their head here.

Newcastle are only below Man United in the EPL table on goal difference after beating Crystal Palace 1-0 on Saturday. Newcastle beat Man United 1-0 in the reverse fixture this season.

Solskjaer will demand a reaction from his players but, as has been the case all season, do not expect one now all of the teams outside the top-six know the blueprint how to frustrate Man United.

Man United’s performance in EPL 2019:

David de Gea will keep his place in the XI despite his howler against Watford on the weekend.

Paul Pogba made his comeback from injury as a substitute in Man United’s 2-0 defeat to Watford on Sunday and he is expected to start on Boxing Day.

Jesse Lingard, Fred or Scott McTominay could make room for the Frenchman in midfield.

Mason Greenwood will surely get the nod to start ahead of one of Daniel James or Anthony Martial on Boxing Day.

Ashley Young or Brandon Williams will fancy their chances of replacing Luke Shaw at left-back too.

David de Gea made another howler at the weekend but should start here.

Marcos Rojo and Diogo Dalot are closing in on first-team returns.

Manchester United vs Newcastle Line up:

Jonjo Shelvey and Miguel Almiron made their comebacks from injury in Newcastle’s 1-0 win over Crystal Palace, with the latter scoring his first goal for the club.

Florian Lejeune turned in a strong performance on his comeback from another long-term knee injury at the weekend.

In an ideal world Steve Bruce may hold Lejeune back here given the quick turnaround between matches but injuries are limiting his options.

Paul Dummett suffered a groin injury against Palace and is likely to miss out on Boxing Day. Bruce will hope Jetro Willems recovers from a knock in time to return.

Former Manchester United target Sean Longstaff could come into midfield to provide fresh legs if Bruce feels that is necessary.

Manchester United vs Newcastle Predicted line-up:

Man United

David de Gea; Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Ashley Young; Scott McTominay, Fred, Paul Pogba; Mason Greenwood, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial.

Newcastle

Martin Dubravka; Fabian Schar, Federico Fernandez, Florian Lejeune; Javier Manquillo, Isaac Hayden, Jonjo Shelvey, Miguel Almiron, Jetro Williems; Joelinton, Andy Carroll.

Manchester United vs Newcastle: Today’s Match Prediction

  1. Steve Bruce’s Newcastle have won three of their last four EPL games.
  2. Newcastle are aiming to complete their first league double over Man United since the 1930/31 campaign.
  3. Man United haven’t kept a clean sheet in the EPL since September and have failed to keep one in five of their last six home league matches with the Magpies.
  4. There have been under 2.5 goals scored in Newcastle’s last 3 away EPL games.
  5. Man United are undefeated in their last 7 home matches in EPL.
  6. Man United have lost just one of their last 34 top-flight home games against Newcastle. However, Newcastle have won 2 of their last 4 meetings.
  7. Man United haven’t lost a home game on Boxing Day since losing 3-0 to Liverpool in 1978.

Chelsea vs Southampton: English Premier League Match Prediction

For all the fantasy football geeks out there, we share prediction tips of league matches that will give them a better shot at predicting and winning. Starting with EPL 2019.

Chelsea will welcome Southampton to Stamford Bridge in the EPL Boxing Day clash. The Blues held onto their 4th place with a victory in the derby with Tottenham, while the Saints moved out of the relegation zone and are currently sitting on the 17th place with 18 points – three above the danger zone.

The win over Spurs moved Chelsea four points clear of English Premier League top 4 and they would be keen to increase that lead further when they host strugglers Southampton on Thursday.

Chelsea’s performance in EPL 2019:

Mateo Kovacic serves a one-match ban for Chelsea due to an accumulation of bookings. Jorginho will return to the starting XI as a result.

Fikayo Tomori returned from injury to start in Sunday’s 2-0 win at Tottenham.

Reece James should start at right-back after Cesar Azpilicueta suffered a hamstring injury at the weekend.

Emerson will hope to replace Marcos Alonso at left-back on Boxing Day.

Frank Lampard played a three-man defence against Tottenham but may revert to a back four against relegation strugglers Southampton even though the structure played well for them.

Callum Hudson-Odoi and Christian Pulisic will hope to benefit from changes to the starting XI.

Southampton’s performance in EPL 2019:

Southampton got back to winning ways last time out as the picked up huge 3 points in a vital relegation six-pointer against Villa on Saturday.

Danny Ings scored twice in the 3-1 win at Villa and he now has 11 goals for the season and is the joint second highest scorer in the league.

Boss Ralph Hasenhuttl will be tempted to name the same starting eleven for this game given how well they played in the win over Villa.

Chelsea vs Southampton Line up:

Chelsea

Kepa Arrizabalaga; Fikayo Tomori, Antonio Rudiger, Reece James, Emerson; N’Golo Kante, Jorginho; Mason Mount, Willian, Callum Hudson-Odoi; Tammy Abraham.

Southampton

Alex McCarthy; Cedric Soares, Jan Bednarek, Jack Stephens, Ryan Bertrand; Stuart Armstrong, James Ward-Prowse, Pierre- Emile Hojbjerg, Nathan Redmond; Danny Ings, Shane Long.

Chelsea vs Southampton: Today’s Match Prediction

  1. There have been over 2.5 goals scored in 8 of Southampton’s last 9 games in the English Premier League.
  2. There have been under 2.5 goals scored in 5 of Chelsea’s last 6 home games in EEPL.
  3. Southampton have failed to score on their last three trips to Stamford Bridge and haven’t won away to Chelsea since 2015. The home side are favourites.
  4. Southampton have won three of their last five in the league.
  5. Danny Ings and Tammy Abraham have scored 11 goals each in the EPL and are the joint-second top scorers. Though Ings has been picking up goals in last few games as well, Abraham has found it difficult since his return from hip injury.
  6. Christian Pulisic and Mason Mount have scored 5 goals each for Chelsea while Willian scored just his 2 EPL brace in Chelsea’s last game against the Spurs.
  7. Chelsea have won seven of their last 8 EPL games against Southampton (1 draw), since a 3-1 home loss in October 2015.

Bournemouth vs Arsenal: English Premier League Match Prediction

New manager Mikel Arteta will take charge of his first Arsenal game when they travel to face Bournemouth in their EPL game on Thursday. He watched from the stands as Arsenal were held to a goalless draw against Everton in their last English Premier League game.

Meanwhile, Bournemouth followed up their 1-0 win over Chelsea with a 1-0 defeat at home to Burnley on Saturday.

Arsenal are currently sitting in the bottom half of the EPL points table while Bournemouth are 14th, 4 points and 3 places below them.

Bournemouth’s performance in EPL 2019:

Callum Wilson was only fit enough for the bench on Saturday but should return to the starting XI on Boxing Day.

Joshua King will either move out to the wing, dropping Ryan Fraser to the bench, or play behind Wilson, which would relegate Dan Gosling to the bench.

Diego Rico is suspended for one-match due to an accumulation of bookings and will need replacing at left-back against Arsenal.

Charlie Daniels and Nathan Ake have previously stepped in at left-back this season but both are out injured leaving Eddie Howe short of options on Boxing Day.

With Adam Smith also sidelined, Jack Simpson may have to adapt at left-back as he did on one occasion last season.

Harry Wilson has returned to parent club Liverpool for treatment on a dead leg and looks set to miss out again for the Cherries.

Arsenal’s performance in EPL 2019:

Sokratis returns from suspension for Arsenal but now the Gunners have lost Calum Chambers to a one-match ban.

With Kieran Tierney and Sead Kolasinac both still injured, winger Bukayo Saka may have to continue at left-back for the Gunners.

Mesut Ozil and Hector Bellerin are doubtful for the game while Dani Ceballos and Rob Holding are still out.

Alexandre Lacazette was pushed to the fringes under interim manager Freddie Ljungberg and will hope for better fortunes under Mikel Arteta.

Arteta took over as permanent Arsenal manager on Sunday and it remains to be seen how the away side will line up in his first game in charge.

Bournemouth vs Arsenal Predicted Line-up:

Bournemouth

Aaron Ramsdale; Jack Stacey, Simon Francis, Chris Mepham, Jack Simpson; Ryan Fraser, Philip Billing, Jefferson Lerma, Lewis Cook; Joshua King; Callum Wilson.

Arsenal

Bernd Leno; Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Sokratis, David Luiz, Bukayo Saka; Lucas Torreira, Matteo Guendouzi, Granit Xhaka; Nicolas Pepe, Alexandre Lacazette, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Bournemouth vs Arsenal: Today’s Match Prediction

  1. Bournemouth have lost 6 of their last 7 matches in PL.
  2. Arsenal have failed to win 9 of their last 10 English Premier League matches.
  3. Bournemouth have won just 1 of their last 10 meetings with Arsenal in all competitions.
  4. Arsenal have never failed to score against the Cherries and are unlikely to do so on Thursday either.
  5. Bournemouth are winless in their 4 EPL fixtures on Boxing Day.
  6. Of the current sides in the PL, only Man Utd have a higher winning percentage – 80- than Arsenal on Boxing Day- 62 percent.
  7. The game against Everton was Arsenal’s first goalless draw in 77 EPL games, since December 2017.

Tottenham vs Brighton: English Premier League (EPL) Match Prediction

For all the fantasy football geeks out there, we share prediction tips of league matches that will give them a better shot at predicting and winning. Starting with EPL 2019.

Tottenham Hotspur will look to bounce back quickly from their defeat to Chelsea when they host Brighton in their EPL clash on Boxing Day.

Spurs fell to a third defeat in five games across all competitions on Sunday, going down 2-0 to Chelsea in the English Premier League.

Brighton, meanwhile, are also coming on the back of a home defeat against Sheffield United and now just have one win in their last seven matches in the PL. They head into Boxing Day five points off the drop.

Spurs had lost to Brighton in the reverse fixture earlier this season.

Tottenham’s performance in EPL 2019:

Son Heung-Min starts a three-match ban for his straight red card for violent conduct in Sunday’s 2-0 defeat to Chelsea.

Jose Mourinho is therefore forced into at least one change for the Boxing Day welcome of Brighton but he may ponder others too.

Harry Winks, Tanguy Ndombele, Christian Eriksen and Danny Rose will all push for starts on Thursday.

Son’s unavailability could prompt Mourinho to hand Ryan Sessegnon his English Premier League debut for Tottenham. Otherwise a formation change could be on the cards.

Brighton’s performance in EPL 2019:

Brighton remain without Jose Izquierdo and Solly March for the Boxing Day trip to Tottenham.

Graham Potter will ponder changes after their 1-0 defeat to Sheffield United on Saturday. Fresh legs may be required here given the quick turnaround between matches.

Adam Webster was at fault for Sheffield United’s winner and Shane Duffy will hope to regain his place at centre-back here.

Aaron Connolly burst onto the scene with a double in Brighton’s win over Tottenham earlier in the season and will hope to start against the north London outfit here.

Tottenham vs Brighton Predicted line-up:

Tottenham

Paulo Gazzaniga; Serge Aurier, Davinson Sanchez, Toby Alderweireld, Danny Rose; Eric Dier, Harry Winks; Ryan Sessegnon, Dele Alli, Lucas Moura; Harry Kane.

Brighton

Mat Ryan; Martin Montoya, Adam Webster, Lewis Dunk, Dan Burn; Aaron Mooy, Dale Stephens, Davy Propper; Pascal Gross; Neal Maupay, Aaron Connolly.

Tottenham vs Brighton: Today’s Match Prediction

  1. Brighton have failed to score on their last three trips to Tottenham but Jose Mourinho should expect a tough game on Thursday.
  2. Harry Kane has fired a blank in four of his last five games.
  3. Neal Maupay is Brighton’s top EPL goal scorer this season with seven, at least five more than any other player.
  4. Spurs have won their last 3 top-flight home games against Brighton, keeping a clean sheet each time.
  5. Brighton are looking to complete their first ever league double over Spurs.
  6. Spurs are unbeaten in their 13 top-flight Boxing Day clash since losing at Portsmouth in 2013.
  7. Meanwhile, Brighton are winless in their last 10 Boxing Day games.
  8. Since Jose Mourinho’s first game in charge of Spurs, no club has conceded more goals across all competitions- 14- joint most with Arsenal.
  9. Son Heung-min was red carded for the 3rd time in 2019.
  10. Spurs have scored just 3 goals in their last 3 games.

Leicester City vs Liverpool: English Premier League (EPL) Prediction

For all the fantasy football geeks out there, we share prediction tips of league matches that will give them a better shot at predicting and winning. Starting with EPL 2019.

Liverpool return to English Premier League action after winning the Club World Cup when they travel to take on Leicester on Friday night. EPL leaders Liverpool lead 2nd placed Leicester by 10 pts despite playing one game less.

Meanwhile, Leicester are coming on the back of their first EPL defeat since October on Saturday after slipping to a 3-1 defeat to Man City. Another defeat here might see them drop to 3rd in the table.

Liverpool will be full of confidence after returning to England as world champions. A win here would extend their lead at the top of the table to 13 points with a game in hand.

It is a game Man City will keep a close tab on. A win for Liverpool will make it further tough for Man City to catch them but the practical thing for now looks like catching Leicester so, instead, they would be hoping for Leicester to drop points.

Leicester’s performance in EPL 2019:

Despite losing 3-1 to Manchester City on Saturday, Brendan Rodgers is not expected to change his starting XI against Liverpool.

Harvey Barnes picked up a knock to his ankle against City and will need assessing closer to kick-off. Marc Albrighton and Demarai Gray are on standby to deputise.

Rodgers has said he will rest Jamie Vardy over the Christmas period but it’s unlikely to happen on Boxing Day. Potentially in the game after, however..

Liverpool’s performance in EPL 2019:

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was in a protective boot at the end of Saturday’s World Club Cup final victory over Flamengo and is set for a spell on the sidelines.

Georginio Wijnaldum missed both World Club Cup matches with a muscle injury and remains a major doubt for Liverpool on Boxing Day.

Expect Naby Keita and James Milner to play either side of Jordan Henderson in central midfield as a result of Liverpool’s injuries.

Dejan Lovren did not travel to Qatar after picking up a thigh injury earlier this month, and no timescale has so far been put on his return.

Leicester City vs Liverpool Predicted line-up:

Leicester

Kasper Schmeichel; Ben Chilwell, Caglar Soyuncu, Jonny Evans, Ricardo Pereira; Ayoze Perez, Youri Tielemans, Wilfred Ndidi, James Maddison, Harvey Barnes; Jamie Vardy

Liverpool

Alisson; Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez, Virgil van Dijk, Andrew Robertson; James Milner, Jordan Henderson, Naby Keita; Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah.

Leicester City vs Liverpool: Today’s Match Prediction

  1. Liverpool are undefeated in their last 34 EPL matches.
  2. Liverpool have scored at least 2 goals in their last 8 EPL matches.
  3. Leicester are undefeated in their last 11 home matches in EPL.
  4. There have been over 2.5 goals scored in Liverpool’s last 3 away EPL games.
  5. Leicester have only lost three games this season and one was to Liverpool. Both teams have scored in the last five meetings between the two sides.
  6. Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane have both scored 9 goals each on the EPL and are likely to add to their tallies.
  7. Jamie Vardy has scored 17 goals already in the EPL and he fancies playing against Liverpool. Expect him to increase his tally.

EPL Predictions: Manchester United vs Watford

For all the fantasy football geeks out there, we share prediction tips of league matches that will give them a better shot at predicting and winning. Starting with EPL 2019.

Watford head coach Nigel Pearson takes charge of his first home match looking to secure the Hornets’ first Vicarage Road victory of the season when they host Man United in PL. He is Watford’s 3rd manager of the season.

Meanwhile, sixth-placed Man United are seeking to extend their six-match unbeaten run and close the gap on fourth-placed Chelsea, who are currently four points ahead. They are coming on the back of a 1-1 draw that ended their 2-game winning streak which saw them beat Man City and Spurs in the PL.

Watford’s performance in EPL 2019:

New manager Nigel Pearson has a number of injury doubts at present but his focus will be on shoring things up defensively as they welcome United.

Former Man United players Tom Cleverley and Danny Welbeck will miss out against their former club on Sunday.

Adam Masina is carrying a thigh injury while Jose Holebas is likely out with an ankle problem so that could leave Pearson without a natural left-back.

Wasteful finishing proved Watford’s downfall against Liverpool last weekend but Nigel Pearson may stick with the same XI.

Manchester United’s performance in EPL 2019:

Man United’s good form continued last week as they drew with Everton and then a much-changed team beat Colchester in the League Cup in midweek.

Mason Greenwood, who scored after coming off the bench against Everton, failed to pile further pressure on Anthony Martial’s starting spot in midweek and is expected to settle for a place on the bench here.

Paul Pogba remains sidelined for Manchester United, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer set to name an unchanged XI from last weekend’s 1-1 draw with Everton.

Juan Mata and Andreas Pereira are in competition with Jesse Lingard for a starting berth in attacking midfield.

Manchester United vs Watford Predicted Line up:

Man United

David de Gea; Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw; Scott McTominay, Fred; Daniel James, Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford; Anthony Martial.

Watford

Ben Foster; Kiko Femenia, Craig Cathcart, Christian Kabasele, Adrian Mariappa; Will Hughes, Etienne Capoue; Abdoulaye Doucoure, Ismaila Sarr, Gerard Deulofeu; Troy Deeney.

Manchester United vs Watford Prediction: Today’s Match
Prediction

  1. Man United have won 11 of their 12 PL meetings (92 per cent) with Watford. Only against Wigan Athletic do they have a higher win rate (94 per cent) of teams they have played at least 10 times.
  2. Marcus Rashford has scored 10 Premier League goals this season, one more than Watford. The last Man Utd player to score more before Christmas in a campaign was Zlatan Ibrahimovic, with 11 in 2016/17.
  3. Nigel Pearson’s only previous home Premier League encounter against Man Utd was in September 2014, winning 5-3 with Leicester City. Only six managers have won their first two home matches against the Red Devils in the English Premier League, most recently Antonio Conte in 2017.
  4. After going six league matches unbeaten against United between 1984 and 1986, Watford have lost 14 of their last 15 against the Red Devils in the top flight (W1).
  5. Watford have failed to win 20 of their last 21 PL matches.
  6. Watford have failed to score in their last 3 PL matches.
  7. There have been under 2.5 goals scored in Watford’s last 3 PL games.
  8. Man Utd are undefeated in their last 6 Pl matches.

English Premier League (EPL) Match Prediction: Tottenham vs Chelsea

For all the fantasy football geeks out there, we share prediction tips of league matches that will give them a better shot at predicting and winning. Starting with EPL 2019.

Jose Mourinho will be aiming to make it five wins from six matches as Tottenham Hotspur head coach when they host Chelsea in the PL. A victory would mean Spurs leapfrogging Chelsea into the top four of the English Premier League. They are coming on the back of a 2-1 win over Wolves.

Meanwhile, The Blues are seeking a sixth away win of the season on their first visit to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. They are coming on the back of a 1-0 loss against Bournemouth.

Tottenham’s performance in EPL 2019:

Spurs coach Jose Mourinho is without no fewer than five players for the welcome of Chelsea.

Hugo Lloris, Michel Vorm, Erik Lamela, Ben Davies and Tanguy Ndombele sit this one out.

Mourinho appears to have settled on this being his preferred team for now and an unchanged line-up is highly likely for this London derby.

There are no new injury concerns coming into this clash with Chelsea and Mourinho is likely to field a 4-2-3-1 formation.

Chelsea’s performance in EPL 2019:

Fikayo Tomori and Olivier Giroud will both be assessed, but Frank Lampard may not risk the pair with the games coming thick and fast.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek is still some way from full match fitness, so misses out.

Kurt Zouma is set to continue alongside Antonio Rudiger, while Mateo Kovacic may come in for Mason Mount.

Frank Lampard is expected to make a couple of changes after such a flat display and he may decide to bring the in-form Kovacic back in.

With the attack struggling for inspiration, he may also be inclined to bring Hudson-Odoi in with either Pulisic or Willian dropping out.

Chelsea are expected to field a 4-3-3 formation again.

Tottenham vs Chelsea Predicted Line-up:

Tottenham

Paulo Gazzaniga; Serge Aurier, Davinson Sanchez, Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen; Moussa Sissoko, Eric Dier; Lucas Moura, Dele Alli, Son Heung-min; Harry Kane.

Chelsea

Kepa Arrizabalaga; Reece James, Antonio Rudiger, Kurt Zouma, Emerson; Jorginho, N’Golo Kante, Kovacic; Willian, Tammy Abraham, Christian Pulisic.

Tottenham vs Chelsea: Today’s Match Prediction

  1. Spurs head coach Jose Mourinho has won 12 and lost none of his 13 home matches in all competitions against teams he has previously managed, including winning all three against Chelsea.
  2. Dele Alli has scored five goals in his last four Premier League meetings with Chelsea. Against no side has he scored more goals in the competition.
  3. Chelsea have had 53 different Premier League goal scorers against Spurs, excluding own goals, more than any club has had against another in the competition.
  4. No team has won more English Premier League London derbies than Chelsea, who have been victorious 128 times, level with Arsenal.
  5. There have been over 2.5 goals scored in Chelsea’s last 8 away games in PL.
  6. There have been over 2.5 goals scored in Tottenham’s last 5 PL games.
  7. Tottenham are undefeated in their last 6 home matches in PL.
  8. Spurs have won 3 of their last 5 PL games against Chelsea (lost other 2), as many as they had in their previous 20 games against them in the PL.

EPL-Manchester-United vs-Aston-Villa

For all the fantasy football geeks out there, we share prediction tips of league matches that will give them a better shot at predicting and winning. Starting with EPL 2019.

Manchester United will be looking to return to winning ways when they welcome Aston Villa to Old Trafford in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are currently ninth in the table on 17 points, while Villa sit 15th having collected 14 points from their opening 13 matches of the 2019-20 campaign.

Manchester United’s youngsters lost 2-1 away to Astana on Thursday night but Ole Gunnar Solskjaer should have a fresh team on Sunday after leaving his first-choice XI behind in England.

Aston Villa ended a three-game losing streak with a solid 2-0 win at home to Newcastle on Monday night. Other than a 5-1 win at Norwich, Villa have struggled on the road this season

Manchester United’s performance in EPL 2019:

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer left his entire first-team squad behind for Thursday’s long return trip to Kazakhstan, including first-team coaches Michael Carrick and Kieran McKenna, to prepare for Sunday’s welcome of Aston Villa.

Nemanja Matic has been sidelined for the past two months but may come straight into the starting XI on Sunday if fit enough after United struggled in midfield against Sheffield United last weekend.

Andreas Pereira was poor against Sheffield United and does not deserve to start on Sunday, but that depends entirely on whether Matic is available for the home side. Juan Mata did not travel in midweek and is an option to play further forward here.

Phil Jones was hauled off at half-time against Sheffield United and is unlikely to play here. As Axel Tuanzebe featured against Astana in midweek, the only chance of United playing a back three against Villa is if Marcos Rojo recovers from injury.

Luke Shaw made his long-awaited comeback from injury in midweek but will sit out against Villa. Brandon Williams scored his first senior goal last weekend and will hope to keep his place in the team ahead of Ashley Young.

Scott McTominay (ankle) could return for Man Utd, but Sunday’s match comes too soon for fellow midfielder Paul Pogba (ankle).

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s defensive options have been boosted by the return from injury of Luke Shaw (hamstring) and Axel Tuanzebe (hip). The duo both played a full 90 minutes in the midweek UEFA Champions League loss to Astana.

They are likely to use 4-2-3-1.

Aston Villa’s performance in EPL 2019:

Dean Smith has no reason to make changes from the side that beat Newcastle 2-0 on Monday night.

Bjorn Engels (hip) has trained all week and is available for selection by Aston Villa, but Jota (hernia) continues to be monitored.

Keinan Davis (hamstring) will resume jogging on Monday but is still deemed to be two to three weeks’ away while Jed Steer (calf) remains sidelined.

Conor Hourihane was key to ending Villa’s three-game losing streak and should be rewarded with another start here, while Anwar El Ghazi, Douglas Luiz and Ezri Konsa should all keep their places.

They are likely to keep the 4-3-3 formation.

Manchester United vs Aston Villa: Predicted Line-up

Man United

David de Gea; Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Brandon Williams; Fred, Nemanja Matic; Daniel James, Juan Mata, Marcus Rashford; Anthony Martial.

Aston Villa

Tom Heaton; Frederic Guilbert, Ezri Konsa, Tyrone Mings, Matt Targett; Conor Hourihane, John McGinn, Douglas Luiz; Anwar El Ghazi, Wesley, Jack Grealish.

EPL 2019: Manchester United vs Aston Villa Prediction

  1. There have been over 2.5 goals scored in Aston Villa’s last 4 away games (Premier League).
  2. Aston Villa have lost five of their six away league matches this EPL 2019.
  3. Man Utd have won 10 of their last 11 matches against Aston Villa in all competitions. They haven’t lost to Villa since 2009. Ashley Young played for Villa on that occasion but will likely only make the bench for United here. The Red Devils are unbeaten in the subsequent 14 matches played between the two sides.
  4. The Red Devils are unbeaten at home in their last seven matches and have scored three goals in each of their last two at Old Trafford, as many as their previous six combined. Expect them to do so once again.
  5. With seven goals and four assists, Marcus Rashford has been directly involved in 58 per cent of Man Utd’s 19 Premier League goals this EPL 2019 – only Norwich City’s Teemu Pukki, with 69 per cent, has been involved in more for his side this season.
  6. Both Aston Villa and Man Utd have conceded a joint low of four first-half goals in the Premier League this season, level with Liverpool and Sheffield United.

English Premere League Match Prediction (EPL 2019): Norwich vs Arsenal

Home

December 1, 2019,

Carrow Road, Norwich

epl-norwich-vs-arsenal

For all the fantasy football geeks out there, we share prediction tips of league matches that will give them a better shot at predicting and winning. Starting with EPL 2019.

Arsenal take on Norwich City in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon with Freddie Ljungberg taking charge of his first game since replacing Unai Emery on an interim basis.

Norwich ended a seven-match winless run at Everton last weekend and they’ll look to claim another scalp when they welcome Arsenal to Carrow Road.

Arsenal are 8th in the table at the moment while Norwich are in the relegation zone. However, only 8 points separate the sides, the same difference that Arsenal have with top 4.

Norwich’s performance in EPL 2019:

Timm Klose and Josip Drmic all sit out the welcome of Arsenal.

Grant Hanley (groin) is getting nearer to a first-team return but Sunday’s match is too soon.

Jamal Lewis (knee) returned to team training for Norwich this week and will be monitored but Alex Tettey is unavailable for personal reasons.

Daniel Farke will hope to have Todd Cantwell (knock) available for selection as he looks at the possibility of naming the same XI that won at Everton last weekend.

They are likely to field a 4-2-3-1 formation.

Arsenal’s performance in EPL 2019:

Freddie Ljungberg takes over as interim boss following Unai Emery’s sacking on Friday.

The Swede is without Dani Ceballos (hamstring) for the trip to Norwich, while David Luiz (bruised ribs), Shkodran Mustafi (bruised foot) and Hector Bellerin (hamstring) will all be assessed.

However, Sead Kolasinac (hamstring) is available for selection.

Calum Chambers could therefore deputise at centre-back alongside Sokratis, while Konstantinos Mavropanos is also an option.

They are likely to use a 4-2-3-1 formation.

Norwich vs Arsenal: Predicted Line-up

Norwich

Tim Krul; Max Aarons, Christoph Zimmermann, Ben Godfrey, Sam Byram; Alexander Tettey, Tom Trybull; Kenny McLean, Todd Cantwell, Onel Hernandez; Teemu Pukki.

Arsenal

Bernd Leno; Hector Bellerin, Calum Chambers, Sokratis, Kieran Tierney; Granit Xhaka, Matteo Guendouzi; Nicolas Pepe, Joe Willock, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang; Alexandre Lacazette.

EPL 2019: Norwich vs Arsenal Prediction

  1. Norwich have been losing at both half time and full time in their last 3 home matches in Premier League.
  2. Norwich have seen under 2.5 goals in their last 4 matches against Arsenal in all competitions. However, they have conceded at least 2 goals in their last 5 home matches in Premier League.
  3. Norwich have lost their last 3 home matches in the Premier League. However, they are unbeaten in 50 per cent of their Premier League meetings with Arsenal, losing eight of their 16 previous encounters.
  4. There have been under 2.5 goals scored in Norwich’s last 3 games in the Premier League. Also, there have been under 2.5 goals scored in Arsenal’s last 3 away games Premier League.
  5. Arsenal are undefeated in their last 6 matches against Norwich in all competitions.
  6. The Gunners have won only once in their eight away matches, but the appointment of Freddie Ljungberg in an interim capacity will prove a boost.
  7. Emiliano Buendia has provided more assists (four) for the Canaries without finding the net for himself than any other Premier League player this EPL 2019.
  8. Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil scored his first ever Premier League goals against Norwich, netting twice in a 4-1 win at the Emirates in October 2013. To date, it’s the only time he’s scored more than once in a match in the competition.
  9. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has scored 80 per cent of Arsenal’s away goals in the Premier League this season, with four out of five. He has also netted eight goals in his 10 appearances against promoted sides for the Gunners.

EPL-Tottenham-vs-Bournemouth

For all the fantasy football geeks out there, we share prediction tips of league matches that will give them a better shot at predicting and winning. Starting with EPL 2019.

After 2 back to back wins under Jose Mourinho. Tottenham Hotspur are seeking back-to-back Premier League wins for the first time since April as they look to climb into the top six when they host Bournemouth on Saturday.

Bournemouth, who sit one place and one point behind 10th-placed Spurs, could leapfrog Jose Mourinho’s men and move into the top half of the table with a victory.

Tottenham Spurs’s performance in EPL 2019:

Jose Mourinho is without injured quartet Hugo Lloris, Michel Vorm, Erik Lamela and Ben Davies for the welcome of Bournemouth.

The Tottenham boss hinted that he may rest some personnel for Saturday’s Premier League clash and so Jan Vertonghen and Tanguy Ndombele could both start here.

Christian Eriksen may start from the bench here despite coming on for Eric Dier after 30 minutes against Olympiacos.

A resurgent Dele Alli will start once again and might shine.

Jose Mourinho is likely to field a 4-2-3-1 formation.

Bournemouth’s performance in EPL 2019:

Simon Francis was sent off in the first half of Bournemouth’s 2-1 home defeat to Wolves and serves a one-match ban.

He joins injured quintet Dominic Solanke, David Brooks, Junior Stanislas, Charlie Daniels and Josh King on the sidelines.

Andrew Surman and Lloyd Kelly are both doubts for the Cherries, who could line up in a 4-4-1-1 formation.

They are likely to use a 4-4-1-1 formation.

Tottenham vs Bournemouth: Predicted Line-up

Tottenham

Paulo Gazzaniga; Danny Rose, Jan Vertonghen, Toby Alderweireld, Serge Aurier; Tanguy Ndombele, Harry Winks; Son Heung-Min, Dele Alli, Lucas Moura; Harry Kane.

Bournemouth

Aaron Ramsdale; Adam Smith, Steve Cook, Nathan Ake, Diego Rico; Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld; Philip Billing, Jefferson Lerma, Harry Wilson; Ryan Fraser; Calum Wilson.

EPL 2019: Tottenham vs Bournemouth Prediction

  1. Tottenham have kept a clean sheet in their last 4 home matches against Bournemouth in all competitions while scoring 13 goals. Though clean sheet record looks in doubt, especially because they have kept fewer clean sheets than any other Premier League side this EPL 2019, they might be able to add a few more to the goals scorer column.
  2. Tottenham have won their last 4 home matches against Bournemouth in all competitions and should probably make it 5. Bournemouth have won just 1 of their 8 Premier League meetings with Spurs, it came the last time they faced.
  3. Harry Kane has scored seven goals in his six Premier League matches against the Cherries, though six of those strikes for Spurs came in his first three meetings. He has 7 goals in the current season of Premier League as well and should be able to add to the tally.
  4. Son Heung-min has also been useful for Spurs so far, having scored 4 goals and set up another 4 in the Premier League in the current campaign. He is likely to add to either tally.
  5. Eight of AFC Bournemouth’s 16 Premier League goals this EPL 2019 have come from set-piece situations (excluding penalties), the highest number and highest ratio (50 per cent) in the division. Given Spurs’ vulnerability in the defence, it might happen once again.
  6. AFC Bournemouth’s Ryan Fraser has provided more assists than any other player in the Premier League, with 17, since the start of last season.

EPL-Chelsea-vs-West Ham United

For all the fantasy football geeks out there, we share prediction tips of league matches that will give them a better shot at predicting and winning. Starting with EPL 2019.

Chelsea are targeting a seventh win in eight Premier League matches when they host West Ham United on Saturday with an immediate response to their defeat at Manchester City last time out.

Meanwhile, West Ham United are aiming to end a seven-match winless run that has seen Manuel Pellegrini’s side slip to fourth from bottom, three points above the relegation zone.

Chelsea’s performance in EPL 2019:

Tammy Abraham was forced off shortly after the break in Chelsea’s 2-2 draw with Valencia on Wednesday night and may be replaced by Michy Batshuayi, particularly with next week’s midweek matches in mind.

Across 11 substitute appearances in the Premier League and Champions League, Batshuayi has featured for just 148 minutes, scoring goals against Southampton and Ajax respectively.

Ross Barkley, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Antonio Rudiger will all be assessed.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek, however, remains sidelined. Emerson should once again be preferred above Marcos Alonso.

Mason Mount, who has 4 goals, too remains in contention having lost his place after a few mediocre performance and Willian and Pulisic’s return to form.

Chelsea will stick to 4-3-3 formation.

West Ham Utd’s performance in EPL 2019:

Jack Wilshere is struggling with an on-going groin problem and West Ham hope he will return to training next week.

Issa Diop serves a one-match ban, however, after receiving his fifth yellow card of the season in the defeat and will hence miss the game.

Michail Antonio may come in for Andriy Yarmolenko on the right after scoring from the bench, while Fabian Balbuena will deputise for the suspended Diop.

West Ham are likely to use a 4-4-1-1 formation.

Chelsea vs West Ham United: Predicted Line-up

Chelsea

Kepa Arrizabalaga; Reece James, Kurt Zouma, Fikayo Tomori, Emerson Palmieri; Jorginho, N’Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic; Christian Pulisic, Michy Batshuayi, Willian.

West Ham United

Roberto Jimenez; Ryan Fredericks, Fabian Balbuena, Aaron Cresswell, Angelo Ogbonna; Mark Noble, Declan Rice, Michail Antonio, Felipe Anderson; Robert Snodgrass; Sebastien Haller.

EPL 2019: Chelsea vs West Ham United Prediction

  1. Chelsea are undefeated in their last 14 home matches against West Ham in all competitions and should likely escape that again on Saturday.
  2. West Ham have conceded at least 3 goals in their last 3 matches in the Premier League.
  3. Chelsea have kept a clean sheet in their last 3 home matches in Premier League. Maybe, West Ham might end that run.
  4. West Ham have lost 5 of their last 6 matches in Premier League. It should probably increase by the end of the week.
  5. Chelsea are undefeated in 14 of their last 15 home matches in Premier League and might be able to do so once again.
  6. There have been under 2.5 goals scored in Chelsea’s last 3 home games in the Premier League while there have been over 2.5 goals scored in West Ham’s last 3 games. With 1 of them set to be broken, it looks to be Chelsea’s run of under 2.5 goals which might be scrapped off. Also, Chelsea have seen under 2.5 goals in their last 4 matches against West Ham in all competitions

EPL 2019 Match Predictions: Liverpool vs Brighton

English Premere League Match Prediction (EPL 2019): Liverpool vs Brighton

November 30, 2019,

Anfield, Liverpool

epl-liverpool-vs-brighton

For all the fantasy football geeks out there, we share prediction tips of league matches that will give them a better shot at predicting and winning. Starting with EPL 2019.

Liverpool, currently top of the table of EPL 2019, eight points clear of second-placed Leicester City, host Brighton with an eye on equalling their best-ever unbeaten run of 31 matches in top-flight history if they avoid defeat at Anfield.

Meanwhile, Graham Potter’s Brighton & Hove Albion look to return to winning ways after suffering back-to-back defeats to Manchester United and Leicester.

Liverpool’s performance in EPL 2019:

Fabinho left Anfield with a protective boot on Wednesday after suffering an ankle injury in Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with Napoli and the Reds face a nervous wait to determine the full extent of the problem.

Naby Keita will also be assessed, but Nathaniel Clyne and Joel Matip sit out the welcome of Brighton.

Mohamed Salah played no part in Liverpool’s 2-1 win at Crystal Palace last week, but should return to the XI, which would see Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain drop into midfield to cover for Fabinho.

Brighton’s performance in EPL 2019:

Aaron Connolly is back in training and should make the squad but this weekend will come too soon for Bernardo. Solly March is a doubt with a slight groin injury.

However, Jose Izquierdo is a long-term absentee for Brighton boss Graham Potter as the forward recovers from a knee injury.

Lewis Dunk returns from suspension, and his availability is a timely boost for Potter, while Pascal Groß may come in for Aaron Mooy from the side that started the 2-0 loss to Leicester.

Brighton are likely to use a 3-4-3 formation.

Liverpool vs Brighton: Predicted Line-up

Liverpool

Alisson; Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dejan Lovren, Virgil van Dijk, Andrew Robertson; Jordan Henderson, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Georginio Wijnaldum; Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane.

Brighton

Mat Ryan; Dan Burn, Shane Duffy, Lewis Dunk; Martin Montoya, Davy Propper, Dale Stephens, Solly March; Neal Maupay, Pascal Grob, Leandro Trossard.

EPL 2019: Liverpool vs Brighton Prediction

  1. Liverpool have won their last 13 Premier League matches at Anfield, their longest such run in the competition. The Reds did, however, enjoy their best ever run of 21 consecutive top-flight home victories between January and December 1972.
  2. Brighton aim to end a run of seven successive defeats in all competitions to Liverpool, during which they have conceded 22 goals and scored just five.
  3. Sadio Mane has scored 17 goals in his last 16 Premier League outings at Anfield. Indeed, since the start of last season his total of 22 goals at home is more than any other player in the Premier League.
  4. Since a 3-0 victory at Watford on the opening weekend, Brighton have not won in their five subsequent Premier League away matches (L4), losing each of their last three. The Seagulls last lost four in a row on the road between May and August 2018, the fourth match of which was at Liverpool.
  5. Liverpool are undefeated in their last 44 Premier League home matches. Liverpool might be too strong for Brighton to overturn this.
  6. Liverpool have scored at least 2 goals in 20 of their last 22 Premier League matches. Expect them to add to this tally.
  7. Liverpool have kept a clean sheet in their last 3 matches against Brighton in all competitions. This, however, might not happen given how shaky they have been in the recent games.
  8. Brighton have conceded at least 2 goals in their last 3 away matches in Premier League.

EPL-Newcastle-vs-Manchester City

For all the fantasy football geeks out there, we share prediction tips of league matches that will give them a better shot at predicting and winning. Starting with EPL 2019.

Manchester City’s pursuit of Premier League leaders Liverpool will continue on Saturday afternoon when they make the trip to Newcastle United. Pep Guardiola’s side are currently third in the table – nine points off the summit – while Newcastle are down in 14th spot having suffered a 2-0 loss away to Aston Villa in the Monday Night Football.

Meanwhile, Newcastle are 14th with 4 wins, 3 draws and 6 defeat. Newcastle, who actually lead the head-to-head record 72 wins to City’s 68, are aiming to extend their unbeaten home run to six Premier League matches and move into the top half of the table.

Newcastle United’s performance in EPL 2019:

Sean Longstaff is available following suspension and could come into the side at the expense of either Jonjo Shelvey or Isaac Hayden.

Jamaal Lascelles and Matt Ritchie sit out the welcome of Manchester City through injury, while Florian Lejeune is still working his way back to full fitness following a long spell on the sidelines.

Fabian Schar may come into the XI that started the 2-0 loss at Aston Villa.

Newcastle are likely to use a 5-4-1 formation.

Manchester City’s performance in EPL 2019:

Sergio Aguero joins Aymeric Laporte, Leroy Sane and Oleksandr Zinchenko on the sidelines, which should pave the way for Gabriel Jesus to lead the line.

Bernardo Silva is available following a one-match ban and could start at the expense of Riyad Mahrez on the right.

Joao Cancelo has been featuring prominently from right-back at Kyle Walker’s expense of late and may continue despite playing the full 90 minutes against Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday night.

City should stick to the 4-3-3 formation.

Newcastle vs Man City: Predicted Line-up

Newcastle

Martin Dubravka; DeAndre Yedlin, Fabian Schar, Ciaran Clark, Paul Dummett, Jetro Willems; Miguel Almiron, Sean Longstaff, Isaac Hayden, Allan Saint-Maximin; Joelinton.

Man City

Ederson; Joao Cancelo, Fernandinho, John Stones, Benjamin Mendy; David Silva, Rodri, Kevin De Bruyne; Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus, Bernardo Silva.

EPL 2019: Newcastle vs Man City Prediction

  1. Man City have won 23 of their last 27 Premier League matches. They should add another number to it.
  2. There have been over 2.5 goals scored in 12 of Man City’s last 14 games (Premier League).
  3. Man City have scored at least 2 goals in 12 of their last 14 Premier League matches and it might happen again.
  4. Newcastle have seen over 2.5 goals in their last 3 matches against Man City in all competitions. It might be another such day.
  5. City have won 23 of their last 27 top-flight matches coming into this clash and should probably add another.
  6. Kevin de Bruyne leads the assist chart with 9 and should be able to add to it.
  7. Newcastle United haven’t lost at home in Premier League since the opener and are aiming to extend than run to six Premier League matches and move into the top half of the table. However, that might be a big task to ask.
  8. The Magpies have only conceded four goals at St James’ Park this season. Only Leicester City have shipped fewer at home, with three. However, Man City will increase that tally.
  9. Man City have scored in their last 21 Premier League matches against Newcastle, winning 18 of them. Only against Fulham have they had a longer scoring streak in the competition, with 22 matches.
  10. Riyad Mahrez is one goal away from becoming the first Algerian to reach 50 in the Premier League and might come from bench to do so.

EPL 2019 Match Predictions: Sheffield United vs Manchester United

English Premere League Match Prediction (EPL 2019): Sheffield United vs Manchester United

November 24, 2019,

Bramall Lane, Sheffield

EPL-2019-Sheffield-United-vs-Manchester-United

For all the fantasy football geeks out there, we share prediction tips of league matches that will give them a better shot at predicting and winning. Starting with EPL 2019.

Fifth-placed Sheffield United are targeting a third consecutive home win and clean sheet after beating Arsenal 1-0 and Burnley 3-0 in their latest outings at Bramall Lane. Meanwhile, Manchester United, who are one point behind their hosts, are looking to record back-to-back Premier League wins for the first time this EPL 2019.

Sheffield United’s performance in EPL 2019:

Sheffield United will be forced into at least one change on Sunday, as Dean Henderson cannot start against his parent club. His absence is a big blow but hands 29-year-old Simon Moore a Premier League debut against Manchester United.

Chris Wilder will be sweating on the fitness of key centre-back John Egan after he limped off for Ireland with a calf injury at the start of the week. Veteran Phil Jagielka is on standby to deputise if required.

Lys Mousset was in great form for Sheffield United before the international break and will hope to continue in attack on Sunday. He will be joined by one of David McGoldrick or Callum Robinson.

Ravel Morrison came through the United academy but is unlikely, but former Red Oliver Norwood will start against his boyhood club.

They will stick to the 3-5-2 system that’s working wonders for them.

Manchester United’s performance in EPL 2019:

Manchester United’s injury woes are starting to ease, with Diogo Dalot, Nemanja Matic, Luke Shaw and Axel Tuanzebe all back in training. None are expected to start here, however.

Ashley Young is available again after serving a one-match ban before the international break. He should regain his place at left-back despite another impressive showing from Brandon Williams last time out for the Red Devils.

Scott McTominay has been nursing an ankle injury in recent weeks but is expected to start against Sheffield United. Paul Pogba is nearing a first-team return but won’t be ready until next month.

Harry Maguire started his career at Sheffield United and will hope for a good response when he returns to Bramall Lane.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is likely to field a 4-2-3-1 formation.

Manchester United vs Arsenal: Predicted Line-up

Sheffield United

Simon Moore; Jack O’Connell, John Egan, Chris Basham; George Baldock, John Lundstram, Oliver Norwood, John Fleck, Enda Stevens; David McGoldrick, Lys Mousset.

Manchester United

David de Gea; Aaron Wan-Bissake, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Ashley Young; Scott McTominay, Fred; Daniel James, Andreas Pereira, Marcus Rashford; Anthony Martial.

EPL 2019: Sheffield United vs Manchester United Prediction

  1. John Lundstram has scored three goals in his 12 Premier League appearances, as many as in his previous 55 league matches combined. He has already equalled his best tally for a season, having struck three times in 2015/16 and 2017/18. With United’s vulnerability at the back, he might improve that tally.
  2. All of Man Utd’s Premier League goals this EPL 2019 have been scored by players aged 23 and under, with Anthony Martial the oldest at 23 years 326 days.
  3. Marcus Rashford, who has netted five goals in his last five matches in all competitions for Man Utd, is looking to score in a third consecutive fixture for the Red Devils for the first time since September 2017. He has scored 6 goals in the league so far.
  4. There have been under 2.5 goals scored in 7 of Sheff Utd’s last 8 Premier League games. They have conceded just 8 goals in the league so far – 2nd lowest, and it might be another low-scoring thriller. Also, there have been under 2.5 goals scored in 6 of Man Utd’s last 7 away Premier League games.
  5. Manchester United have failed to win 9 of their last 10 away Premier League matches. Don’t be surprised if United drop points once again.
  6. Sheff Utd are undefeated in their last 5 Premier League matches and might make it 6 games.
  7. The Blades have already played Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham and Liverpool and only lost to the latter. They have beaten Arsenal at home and held both Tottenham and Chelsea.

EPL 2019 Match Predictions: Manchester City vs Chelsea

English Premere League Match Prediction (EPL 2019): Manchester City vs Chelsea

Home

November 23, 2019

Etihad Stadium, Manchester

EPL-2020-Manchester City vs Chelsea

Fourth-placed Manchester City are looking to bounce back from their defeat at Liverpool last time out and leapfrog Chelsea, who sit one point above them, whom they host on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Frank Lampard’s Blues are targeting a seventh straight Premier League victory, while they can also secure an eighth consecutive away win in all competitions for the first time.

Manchester City’s performance in EPL 2019:

Pep Guardiola has plenty to ponder after Manchester City dropped nine points behind Liverpool before the international break after a 3-1 defeat to their rivals. The gap could even be 12 if Liverpool beat Crystal Palace before this match.

Rodrigo and David Silva made remarkable recoveries to make the matchday squad against Liverpool and are both expected to start here, while Guardiola will also hope to have Ederson available.

Bernardo Silva serves a one-match ban this weekend after admitting a breach of FA rules. His absence should ensure both Raheem Sterling and Riyad Mahrez start against Chelsea.

Sergio Aguero and Gabriel Jesus are in competition for a starting berth in attack, though Jesus could also feature from one of the wings.

Angelino was a surprise starter against Liverpool last time out for City and should be replaced at left-back by Benjamin Mendy.

As neither John Stones nor Nicolas Otamendi have convinced of late, it wouldn’t be a surprise if Fernandinho and Rodri started at centre-back.

Pep Guardiola is likely to stick to 4-3-3.

Chelsea’s performance in EPL 2019:

A slight hip injury forced Christian Pulisic to pull out of the USA squad during the international break but Frank Lampard will hope to have him available here.

Jorginho will return to the starting XI after serving a one-match ban before the international break. It will be interesting to see how Lampard fits Jorginho, N’Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic and Mason Mount into the same XI now everyone is available.

Kovacic would usually have dropped out of the team but he has played so well for Chelsea of late. Mount may even push into the front three at the expense of the likes of Pulisic or Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Cesar Azpilicueta will return at right-back on Saturday after dropping out of the team before the break, but there is still some uncertainty who will start at left-back between Emerson and Marcos Alonso.

Ross Barkley failed to recover from injury in time to stay in Gareth Southgate’s England squad during the break and remains a doubt here. He would only make the bench at best here, anyway.

Chelsea, too, should field 4-3-3.

Manchester City vs Chelsea: Predicted Line-up

Manchester City

Ederson; Kyle Walker, John Stones, Fernandinho, Benjamin Mendy; Kevin De Bruyne, Rodri, David Silva; Riyad Mahrez, Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling.

Chelsea

Kepa Arrizabalaga; Cesar Azpilicueta, Kurt Zouma, Fikao Tomori, Emerson; N’Golo Kante, Jorginho, Mateo Kovacic; Willian, Tammy Abraham, Mason Mount

EPL 2019: Manchester City vs Chelsea prediction

  1. Manchester City have won 23 of their last 26 home matches (Premier League). Chelsea have won their last 6 Premier League matches. However, Chelsea’s run might be halted.
  2. There have been over 2.5 goals scored in 11 of Man City’s last 13 Premier League games and Chelsea’s last 6 away games and this game is expected to another goal-fest.
  3. Manchester City have kept a clean sheet in 5 of their last 6 matches against Chelsea in all competitions. However, given their struggles so far this season and Chelsea’s dominance – they have scored the most goals on the road (18)- City might struggle to keep clean sheet.
  4. Chelsea have scored at least 2 goals in their last 5 away Premier League matches.
  5. Chelsea have won their last six matches in the Premier League and have won five in a row away from home. They are the league’s top scorers on the road this season (18 goals).
  6. Manchester City have scored the most Premier League goals at home this season 19.
  7. Sergio Aguero has scored 10 Premier League goals against Chelsea, more than any other player in the competition. The Argentinian has netted eight goals in his last six outings.
  8. Tammy Abraham’s tally of seven away goals is the best return by a Premier League player in 2019/20. It is equal to, or better than, 15 of the other 19 clubs in the division.
  9. Christian Pulisic, who has scored five goals in his last three Premier League matches, can become the first American to score in four consecutive appearances in the competition.

Selhurst Park, London

EPL 2020-Crystal Palace vs Liverpool

For all the fantasy football geeks out there, we share prediction tips of league matches that will give them a better shot at predicting and winning. Starting with EPL 2019.

Leaders Liverpool are looking for their fourth straight Premier League victory, and their fourth in a row at Selhurst Park as they travel to face Crystal Palace on Saturday. They lead Leicester and Chelsea by 8 points, while their real threat is expected to come from Manchester City, who are 1 point further behind.

Meanwhile, Crystal Palace are aiming to avoid a third successive defeat against a top-three club, having lost 2-0 to both Leicester City and Chelsea in their latest outings.

Crystal Palace’s performance in EPL 2019:

A foot injury forced Wilfried Zaha off in Crystal Palace’s 2-0 defeat to Chelsea before the international break and former Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson will be desperate to have his star man available here.

Former Liverpool centre-back Mamadou Sakho will miss out once more for the Eagles, while Connor Wickham remains sidelined.

Should Joel Ward fail to recover from a groin injury in time, former Martin Kelly will start at right-back against his former club on Saturday.

Another former Liverpool player, Christian Benteke, may have to settle for a place on the bench despite scoring twice for Belgium on Tuesday.

Andros Townsend or Jeffrey Schlupp will occupy one of the wide areas, unless Zaha fails to recover from injury in time, in which case both will start.

Hodgson is likely to field a 4-5-1 formation.

Liverpool’s performance in EPL 2019:

Liverpool saw a number of players forced out of the international break and will have to check on those ahead of Saturday’s trip to Selhurst Park.

Illness kept Jordan Henderson out of England’s final Euro 2020 qualifier, while Joe Gomez had to withdraw from the Three Lions’ squad with a knee injury picked up in training.

It has been reported neither Mohamed Salah nor Andrew Robertson are expected to recover from ankle injuries in time to make it this weekend.

Xherdan Shaqiri is at least back in training for Liverpool and will hope to take Salah’s spot in the team, but it’s more likely Mane will swap over to the right wing and Divock Origi will come in on the left. James Milner is the obvious replacement for Robertson, meanwhile.

Virgil van Dijk withdrew from the Netherlands squad for personal reasons last weekend but should be available for Jurgen Klopp’s side here.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been in terrific form of late but may have to settle for a place on the bench at Selhurst Park.

Jurgen Klopp will stick to his preferred 4-3-3 formation.

Arsenal vs Southampton: Predicted Line-up

Crystal Palace

Wayne Hennessey; Martin Kelly, James Tomkins, Gary Cahill, Patrick Van Aanholt; Andros Townsend, James McArthur, Luka Milivojevic, James McCarthy, Wilfried Zaha; Jordan Ayew.

Liverpool

Alisson; Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dejan Lovren, Virgil van Dijk, James Milner; Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jordan Henderson, Georginio Wijnaldum; Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Divock Origi.

EPL 2019: Crystal Palace vs Liverpool prediction

  1. Luka Milivojević has created more chances (15) and made more interceptions (24) in the Premier League than any other Palace player this EPL 2019.
  2. Sadio Mane has scored more Premier League goals (7) than any other Liverpool player this EPL 2019. He can become the third Liverpool player to score in five consecutive Premier League matches against an opponent, after Michael Owen against Newcastle United and Luis Suarez against Norwich City.
  3. Palace are aiming to avoid losing against Liverpool for the first time in five Premier League contests. Also, the Eagles haven’t lost a third consecutive home league match since March 2018, but the third fixture in that run came against Liverpool, with a 2-1 defeat.
  4. Liverpool have had more different goalscorers than any other side in the Premier League this season, with 13, while Palace have had the fewest, with four. It means 72 per cent of the 18 outfield players Liverpool have used have found the net, another league-high.
  5. Liverpool have won 20 of their last 21 Premier League matches. Expect them to do so once again.
  6. Liverpool have scored at least 2 goals in 19 of these 21 games. Though Salah might miss the game, Liverpool should be able to score 2 once again.
  7. There have been over 2.5 goals scored in 10 of Liverpool’s last 12 Premier League games. Again, it’s more because of their attacking threats than the opposition team scoring. It is likely to happen again.
  8. There have been under 2.5 goals scored in Crystal Palace’s last 6 Premier League home games, a run that is at risk.
  9. Crystal Palace have conceded at least 2 goals in their last 4 matches (Premier League).
  10. Crystal Palace are winless in their last four matches- they have played Manchester City, Arsenal, Leicester and Chelsea in that time. They have conceded exactly two goals in each of those matches.

EPL-2019-Arsenal vs Southampton

For all the fantasy football geeks out there, we share prediction tips of league matches that will give them a better shot at predicting and winning. Starting with EPL 2019.

After a bright start to the season, Arsenal have seen slump in their form. Winless in their last 4 English Premier League games, Arsenal host strugglers Southampton on Saturday with an eye on breaking into the top 5. The international break should have given them a much-needed boost, as they lost 2-0 to Leicester in their last game.

Meanwhile, Southampton can also consider that they have progressed in the last 2 games. Since losing 9-0 to Leicester, they have lost the next 2 league games by 2-1.

Arsenal’s performance in EPL 2019:

Dani Ceballos is still out for Arsenal with a hamstring injury sustained before the international break.

Granit Xhaka played for Switzerland during the break but is unlikely to feature for the Gunners on Saturday.

Arsenal supporters will finally hope to see Hector Bellerin and Kieran Tierney started a league game together.

Sokratis will hope for a recall after losing his place in the team against Leicester before the break.

Unai Emery needs to find a system where Nicolas Pepe, Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang all start.

Arsenal are likely to use 4-2-3-1 formation.

Southampton’s performance in EPL 2019:

Michael Obafemi withdrew from Ireland’s U-21 squad through injury during the international break and remains a doubt for Southampton here.

Cedric Soares recovered from injury before the international break and Ralph Hasenhuttl will also recover Ryan Bertrand from suspension this weekend.

Southampton can’t stop leaking goals at the moment and Hasenhuttl needs to settle on his best defence as quickly as possible.

Southampton will use 3-4-3 formation.

Arsenal vs Southampton: Predicted Line-up

Arsenal

Bernd Leno; Hector Bellerin, Sokratis, David Luiz, Kieran Tierney; Lucas Torreira, Mattero Guendouzi; Mesut Ozil Nicolas Pepe, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang; Alexandre Lacazette.

Southampton

Alex McCarthy; Cedric, Jan Bednarek, Jack Stephens, Jannik Vestergaard; Ryan Bertrand, James Ward-Prowse, Oriol Romeu, Yan Valery; Danny Ings, Nathan Redmond, Moussa Djenepo.

EPL 2019: Arsenal vs Southampton prediction

  1. Sixth-placed Arsenal are seeking their first win in five matches after slipping eight points outside the top four. The Gunners have only won two of their last 10 Premier League matches but a home game against Southampton is the first thing they would have asked to recover from such slump.
  2. Southampton have lost six of their last seven league matches, including last 3, and are now only one point off last place but might find themselves there at the end of the week.
  3. Arsenal are unbeaten in their last 24 home league matches against Southampton (W18 D6), since November 1987 and the streak might extend for another year.
  4. The Gunners have won their last 32 Premier League home matches against sides starting the day in the relegation zone. Their last such defeat came against West Ham United in April 2007. They might survive another day.
  5. Seven of the eight points earned by Southampton this season, or 88 per cent, have come in away matches. A positive ahead of the game but the points should stay that way.
  6. Danny Ings has scored in five Premier League matches this EPL 2019 but is yet to win any of them (D1 L4). Given, Arsenal’s vulnerability in the back, he might find the back of the net once again.
  7. Southampton have been losing at both half time and full time in 5 of their last 7 matches (Premier League).
  8. There have been over 2.5 goals scored in 6 of Southampton’s last 7 games (Premier League). With the not so strong back force that both the side possess, the record might see another game. Also, Arsenal have scored at least 2 goals in 5 of their last 6 matches against Southampton in all competitions.
  9. There have been under 2.5 goals scored in 5 of Arsenal’s last 6 games (Premier League). This might not survive the test on Saturday.
  10. Southampton have conceded at least 2 goals in 6 of their last 7 matches (Premier League).
  11. Arsenal are undefeated in their last 7 home matches (Premier League).
  12. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has scored 8 goals so far in the league and might be able to score once again.

EPL 2019-West Ham vs Tottenham

For all the fantasy football geeks out there, we share prediction tips of league matches that will give them a better shot at predicting and winning. Starting with EPL 2019.

All eyes will be on Jose Mourinho, who returns to Premier League after replacing Mauricio Pochettino at Spurs when they travel to face West Ham on Saturday. They are currently placed 14th in the table, only a point above their opponent West Ham, who have 13 points.

West Ham’s performance in EPL 2019:

Manuel Pellegrini has confirmed Roberto Jimenez will continue in goal despite his poor form. Though Pellegrini has little choice with No.1 goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski out injured.

West Ham’s Mark Noble and Michail Antonio trained this week without any problem and could be in contention, says Manuel Pellegrini, who reports no fresh injury concerns. Lukasz Fabianski (hip) is a long-term absentee.

Mark Noble, Jack Wilshere and Michail Antonio will be included in the matchday squad after training all week without any problems.

Angelo Ogbonna and Andriy Yarmolenko may come into the side that lost 3-0 at Burnley.

They are likely to use 4-5-1 formation

Tottenham’s performance in EPL 2019:

Hugo Lloris and Jan Vertonghen are ruled out for Tottenham ahead of their trip to West Ham.

Michel Vorm (calf) is also out while Tanguy Ndombele (groin) is doubtful. Erik Lamela is a doubt with a thigh problem and will be assessed ahead of this one.

It’s tough to see how Spurs will line up following the Wednesday morning appointment of Jose Mourinho.

However, they are likely to use 4-2-3-1 formation.

West Ham vs Tottenham: Predicted Line-up

West Ham

Roberto Jimenez; Ryan Fredricks, Angelo Ogbonna, Issa Diop, Aaron Cresswell; Declan Rice, Mark Noble, Declan Rice, Pablo Fornals, Felipe Anderson; Sebastien Haller.

Tottenham

Paulo Gazzaniga; Juan Foyth, Davinson Sanchez, Toby Alderweireld, Ben Davies; Tanguay Ndombele, Eric Dier; Moussa Sissoko, Christian Eriksen, Son Heung-Min; Harry Kane.

EPL 2019: West Ham vs Tottenham Prediction

  1. Tottenham have failed to win their last 12 away Premier League matches. However, the away team have won 5 of the last 6 meetings between these sides in all competitions and Spurs look likely to win a third consecutive top-flight away match against the Hammers for the first time.
  2. Tottenham have been winning at both half time and full time in their last 3 away matches against West Ham in all competitions.
  3. West Ham have conceded at least 2 goals in 5 of their last 6 Premier League matches and with Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min in Spurs’ line-up, expect the Hammers to concede once again.
  4. West Ham have failed to win their last 6 Premier League matches. Though they were the first team to beat Spurs at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, they might not be able to do so on Jose Mourinho’s 1st game in-charge.
  5. West Ham are looking to secure consecutive league wins over Spurs for the first time since 2013-14 but might have to wait for another year to erase that struggling record.
  6. Harry Kane is Spurs’ top scorer so far and has been in a great form in the Euro qualifiers – where he finished the top scorer – and should finally be able to score after failing to do so in Spurs last 3 games.
  7. Jose Mourinho looks likely to end Tottenham Hotspur’s run of 12 Premier League away matches without victory.
  8. West Ham United are looking for their first win in seven matches after dropping to 16th but are least likely to do so.
  9. Spurs have gone 83 Premier League matches without a 0-0 draw, the third-longest such run after Manchester United (114 matches between May 1999 and May 2002) and Ipswich Town (87 matches between August 1994 and September 2001).
  10. Harry Kane has scored 28 goals in 45 Premier League London derbies. Only Thierry Henry (43), Teddy Sheringham (32) and Frank Lampard (32) have netted more in such matches.

EPL 2019-Liverpool vs Manchester City

For all the fantasy football geeks out there, we share prediction tips of league matches that will give them a better shot at predicting and winning.

Leaders Liverpool host Manchester City in a what is expected to be a thrilling encounter which could prove to be vital in the title race of EPL 2019, even though every team has played just 11 games. Liverpool and City are in the top 2 with defending champions City trailing Liverpool by 6 points. A defeat for City will increase the lead to 9 points and might even send them 3rd in the table. Meanwhile, a win will give them a much-needed boost in the campaign ahead on the international break.

Liverpool’s Performance in EPL 2019

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain must be seriously knocking on the door for a start after a few eye-catching displays for Liverpool.

Jordan Henderson missed out through illness in midweek and could make way for Oxlade-Chamberlain if he fails to recover in time.

Fabinho is on four yellow cards and was not risked last weekend ahead of this match. He will return to the starting XI on Sunday.

Dejan Lovren will once again get the nod ahead of Joe Gomez at centre-back with Joel Matip still sidelined with a knee injury.

Jurgen Klopp is likely to stick to his favoured 4-3-3 formation.

Manchester City’s Performance in EPL 2019

Manchester City’s preparations in midweek couldn’t have gone worse with Ederson getting injured and Claudio Bravo being sent off during their 1-1 Champions League draw with Atalanta.

The injury is reportedly not serious and Ederson might recover, failing which Bravo might get the nod.

David Silva was ruled out of this fixture last weekend and he joins Leroy Sane, Aymeric Laporte, Rodrigo and Oleksandr Zinchenko on the sidelines.

Pep Guardiola may be tempted to push Fernandinho back into central midfield and start Bernardo Silva on the right wing over Riyad Mahrez.

City too are likely to use a 4-3-3 formation.

Liverpool vs Manchester City: Predicted Line-up

Liverpool

Alisson; Andy Robertson, Virgil van Dijk, Dejan Lovren, Trent Alexander-Arnold; Georginio Wijnaldum, Fabinho, Jordan Henderson; Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah.

Manchester City

Ederson; Kyle Walker, John Stones, Fernandinho, Benjamin Mendy; Kevin de Bruyne, Ilkay Gundogan, Bernardo Silva; Riyad Mahrez, Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling.

EPL 2019: Liverpool vs Manchester City Prediction:

  1. Liverpool are undefeated in their last 45 home matches in the English Premier League, last losing in April 2017. They might once again escape with at least 1 point.
  2. Liverpool are undefeated in their last 20 home matches against Man City in all competitions. However, City have lost just 1 of the last 5 league games against the Reds.
  3. Jurgen Klopp’s side have conceded in last 8 games in all competitions and in each of their last 5 league matches at Anfield and are unlikely to stop that leak. City have actually failed to score in four of their last five visits to Anfield but Liverpool are not as strong at the back at the moment as they have been recently.
  4. Sadio Mane has scored 6 goals and is likely to trouble the struggling City defence and may add to that tally.
  5. Sergio Aguero has scored 9 goals while Kevin De Bruyne has the same number of assists. Their experience and quality mean they will trouble a Liverpool defence which is yet to reach its last season’s form.
  6. Manchester City have failed to finish 3 of their last 5 games in all competitions with 11 players. Despite the expected high tempo of the game, it’s something that’s difficult to happen. However, they managed just 1 clean sheet in the said period and may struggle to do so once again.
  7. Manchester City have won 22 of their last 25 Premier League matches. However, it’s tough for them to continue that run.
  8. Liverpool have scored at least 2 goals in their last 12 home matches in the Premier League and there have been over 2.5 goals scored in 9 of their last 11 Premier League games. Meanwhile, there have been over 2.5 goals scored in 10 of Man City’s last 12 Premier League games. Given the attacking threats both sides possess, it might be another high scoring game.
  9. Man City have scored at least 2 goals in 11 of their last 12 Premier League matches but might have to settle for less than that.
  10. Roberto Firmino has had a hand in seven goals in his eight Premier League matches against Man City, scoring four and assisting three. He has both scored and set up a goal in three different meetings with the Cityzens.

Old Trafford, Manchester

EPL 2019-Manchester United vs Brighton Hove Albion

For all the fantasy football geeks out there, we share prediction tips of league matches that will give them a better shot at predicting and winning. Starting with EPL 2019.

Manchester United return to Old Trafford after back-to-back away trips to host Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday.

United bounced back from their 1-0 defeat to Bournemouth in their last league game with a 3-0 win over Partizan in the Champions League on Wednesday, a game their boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer called a template for them for the rest of the season.

Meanwhile, Brighton & Hove Albion have climbed above United and sit eighth in the table after three wins in their last four outings. 2 points separate them from 10th placed United.

Brighton boss Graham Potter’s only win as a Premier League player came against Man Utd, with Southampton in 1996/97, and Solskjaer was among his opponents that day.

Manchester United’s performance in EPL 2019:

A back injury kept Victor Lindelof out of Thursday’s encounter with Partizan Belgrade and he remains a doubt. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer heaped praise on Marcos Rojo after Thursday’s display and he will start if Lindelof fails to recover in time.

Scott McTominay is a major doubt after limping off against Partizan with an ankle injury. He tried to carry on but eventually had to come off. Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba are also out.

Ashley Young is suspended after picking up his fifth yellow card of the Premier League campaign last weekend, which should see Brandon Williams make his full league debut at left-back for the Red Devils with Luke Shaw still unavailable.

Juan Mata might replace Andreas Pereira after their contrasting performances against Partizan.

Mason Greenwood scored another goal in midweek but Daniel James is expected to start ahead of the teenager.

United are likely to use 4-2-3-1 formation.

Brighton’s performance in EPL 2019:

Adam Webster was stretchered off with an ankle injury in Brighton’s win over Norwich last weekend and is expected to miss out on Sunday. Bernardo and Jose Izquierdo are still sidelined for Brighton.

Shane Duffy scored from the bench last weekend and will start in place of Webster at Old Trafford. Leandro Trossard also impressed as a substitute with a goal and an assist and will pressure Pascal Gross and Steven Alzate for a place on the wing.

Lewis Dunk will incur a one-match ban in the Premier League with his next booking in the competition.

Brighton are expected to field a 4-4-2 formation.

Manchester United vs Brighton Hove: Predicted Line-up

Manchester United

David de Gea; Brandon Williams, Marcos Rojo, Harry Maguire, Aaron Wan-Bissaka; Fred, Scott McTominay; Marcus Rashford, Andreas Pereira, Daniel James; Anthony Martial.

Brighton

Mat Ryan; Martin Montoya, Shane Duffy, Lewis Dunk, Dan Burn; Pascal Groß, Davy Propper, Dale Stephens, Steven Alzate; Aaron Connolly, Neal Maupay.

EPL 2019: Manchester United vs Liverpool prediction

  1. Manchester United are unbeaten in all 11 of their home matches against Brighton in all competitions, winning nine and drawing two. However, surprisingly Brighton have won 2 and lost 2 of their 4 head to head games in the Premier League, with both the sides taking the spoils at their home- by one goal. United might edge Brighton to peep them in the table as well, however, the one-goal difference history might not stay after the game.
  2. On three occasions since the start of last season, two players have come off the bench to score for Brighton in the Premier League, twice more than any other side. It might be tough, given United have been faring ok at home, but don’t write this off completely.
  3. Brighton have failed to win 33 of their last 37 away Premier League matches and United might be able to stretch their unbeaten run against Brighton at home.
  4. Brighton have won 3 of their last 4 games. However, all 3 were at home and they are winless on the road.
  5. There have been under 2.5 goals scored in 7 of Manchester United’s last 8 Premier League games. However, given the defensive woes of both the sides- United have conceded 11 goals while Brighton have leaked 15 in the league so far this season, there might be a few goals to entertain the crowd.
  6. Neal Maupay has scored 4 goals, just one less than Marcus Rashford, and might find the back of the net once again, given United’s defensive struggles- they have just one clean sheet in the league since their opening round win- don’t be surprised if Maupay adds to his tally.
  7. Anthony Martial has scored 3 goals and has 1 assist despite playing just 6 games in the league so far this EPL 2019. He might once again get his name on the goal-scorer sheet.
  8. Rashford has scored 5 goals so far in the league this season, but 4 of them have come against sides seating in the top 4 at the moment. Though, he might trouble the Brighton side, you can bet against him scoring, though it might be a tough call. However, he might be able to add to his tally of 3 assists.

EPL 2019-Manchester United vs Liverpool

For all the fantasy football geeks out there, we share prediction tips of league matches that will give them a better shot at predicting and winning. Starting with EPL 2019.

Manchester United welcome Liverpool to Old Trafford aiming for only a third win in eight matches but with a good record against the top teams this English Premier League.

The Red Devils have two wins and one draw versus sides who begin Matchweek 9 in the top five, so Jurgen Klopp’s leaders must be at the top of their game to extend their perfect start and equal Manchester City’s top-flight record of 18 consecutive victories.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are playing with a purpose this season and have managed to win even those games where they weren’t at their best.

Manchester United at EPL 2019

Goalkeeper David De Gea (groin) and midfielder Paul Pogba (ankle) are set to miss the game through injury. Jesse Lingard (hamstring) is also a doubt.

However, manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has confirmed he hopes to welcome back Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Anthony Martial.

Luke Shaw is losing his race to prove his fitness in time, which will likely see Ashley Young start at left-back. Axel Tuanzebe is also an option if Victor Lindelof, who has recovered from a back injury, is preferred at centre-back.

Daniel James suffered a head injury for Wales during the international break and may need assessment from United’s medical staff ahead of Sunday’s match.

Phil Jones, Jesse Lingard, Eric Bailly, Diogo Dalot and Timothy Fosu-Mensah are other injury concerns for Solskjaer.

United will likely opt for a 4-2-3-1 formation.

Liverpool at EPL 2019

Alisson is ready to make his comeback after missing last 11 games through injury. Despite Adrian’s good performances, Alisson is expected straight back in the starting XI here.

Joel Matip is also back in full training and should be fine to start at Old Trafford, while Trent Alexander-Arnold was an unused substitute in both of England’s matches during the break and will be fresh here.

Mohamed Salah escaped serious injury in Liverpool’s win over Leicester before the international break but is still rated as a doubt heading into Sunday’s match.

Manchester United vs Liverpool: Predicted Line-up

Manchester United

Sergio Romero; Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Ashley Young; Scott McTominay, Nemanja Matic; Daniel James, Juan Mata, Marcus Rashford; Anthony Martial

Liverpool

Alisson; Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joel Matip, Virgil Van Dijk, Andrew Robertson; Jordan Henderson, Fabinho, Georginio Wijnaldum; Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane

EPL 2019: Manchester United vs Liverpool prediction

  1. Man Utd are unbeaten in their last five home league meetings with Liverpool, of which they have won three. It is their longest run without defeat against the Reds at Old Trafford since a sequence of 10 between February 1991 and March 2000.
  2. A third of Marcus Rashford’s 30 Premier League goals have been against sides who finished last season’s top six. United have not been so bad at home despite their struggles and should be able to score.
  3. Mohamed Salah has failed to score or assist a goal in his four Premier League appearances against Man Utd, who are the only team he has faced more than once without registering a single goal involvement. However, it’s just a matter of time before he breaks the drought.
  4. United have won 28 and lost just 14 of the 54 head to head clashes in the league but the tide is changing its direction.
  5. Four of the last 6 Premier League meetings between the sides have ended in a draw. Though it might seem too much, don’t write the Red Devils off, as they have shown against Chelsea and Arsenal this season.
  6. Manchester United have taken more penalties against Liverpool than any other side in the Premier League- 10, and given the role of VAR and the fact that it is the most Liverpool have faced against a single opposition, Virgil van Dijk and company might end up giving Marcus Rashford an opportunity to score.
  7. Liverpool have won their last 17 English Premier League matches. A trip to Manchester is always tricky, irrespective of the form of the Red Devils.
  8. Liverpool have scored at least 2 goals in 16 of their last 17 Premier League matches and might end up doing so again.
  9. There have been under 2.5 goals scored in Man Utd’s last 5 Premier League games and over 2.5 goals scored in 7 of Liverpool’s last 8 such games. At the moment, it seems like the Reds’ streak will reign supreme.
  10. Aston Villa’s John McGinn (72) is the only central midfielder in the Premier League who has won more duels this season than Scott McTominay (66).
  11. Only Kevin De Bruyne (29) has created more chances in the Premier League this season than Trent Alexander-Arnold (28). Expect Alexander-Arnold to continue his attacking threat.

EPL 2019-Newcastle United vs Manchester United

For all the fantasy football geeks out there, we share prediction tips of league matches that will give them a better shot at predicting and winning. Starting with EPL 2019. Read more for Newcastle vs Manchester United prediction.

Newcastle United are aiming for a first win at St James’ Park this EPL 2019, against a Manchester United side who are winless on their travels in 2019/20. 10th position in table is not something United fans want from their team, but it looks more likely to further deteriorate rather than improving.

Newcastle manager Steve Bruce will take charge of his 400th English Premier League match (Won- 111 Draw- 111 and Loss- 177) but he is looking for a first win over Man Utd in the 2nd attempt and he would have sensed that there could not have been a better opportunity to break that deadlock.

Meanwhile, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer too has started looking for excuses. Since the last 2 games, one among them being against minnows- AZ Alkmaar, the ever-smiling United boss is blaming the referees for dropping points. Irrespective of whether he is right or wrong, this kind of statements don’t really show a positive mindset.

Newcastle United’s performance in EPL 2019:

DeAndre Yedlin made his return from injury in last weekend’s 5-0 defeat away to Leicester, while Sean Longstaff, who was heavily linked with a move to Manchester United in the summer, was fit enough to start.

Jetro Willems (knee) is in contention for Newcastle, while Steve Bruce will make a late decision on fit-again striker Dwight Gayle.

Isaac Hayden starts a three-match suspension, joining Matt Ritchie (ankle) and long-term absentee Florian Lejeune (knee) on the sidelines. However, Jonjo Shelvey has made a timely return from injury and is poised to replace Hayden in midfield.

Allan Saint-Maximin has endured an injury-hit start to life at Newcastle but is fit again and Bruce may choose to unleash him from the start here.

Bruce may revert back to a 5-4-1 formation in a bid to frustrate United and that should not prove too difficult.

Probable line-up:

Martin Dubravka; Jetro Willems, Paul Dummett, Jamaal Lascelles, Fabian Schar, DeAndre Yedlin; Miguel Almiron, Sean Longstaff, Jonjo Shelvey, Allan Saint-Maximin; Joelinton

Manchester United’s performance in EPL 2019:

Jesse Lingard limped off with a hamstring injury in their Europa League game and is a major doubt, along with Paul Pogba (ankle). Meanwhile, Aaron Wan-Bissaka (illness) will be monitored.

Sunday’s match may come too soon for Luke Shaw and Anthony Martial. Eric Bailly and Phil Jones are definitely ruled out.

Victor Lindelof was a surprise starter in midweek, which could see Axel Tuanzebe partner Harry Magurie at centre-back away to Newcastle.

Mason Greenwood might get a first Premier League start of the season.

Solskjaer is likely to use a 4-2-3-1 formation.

Probable line-up:

David de Gea; Ashley Young, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Axel Tuanzebe; Scott McTominay, Nemanja Matic; Daniel James, Juan Mata, Mason Greenwood; Marcus Rashford.

EPL 2019: Newcastle vs Manchester United prediction

  1. Since beating Paris Saint-Germain 3-1 back in March, Manchester United have failed to win any of their 10 away matches across all competitions (D3 L6). With the kind of form they are in, it looks unlikely they will do so on Sunday either.
  2. Newcastle have won 3 of their last 31 Premier League games against Manchester United, losing 21, including on both the occasions they met last season. However, this can be a golden opportunity to improve their sorry looking records.
  3. United have won 13 away Premier League games against Newcastle, their 3rd best away record. But that’s in the past and the current form doesn’t justify it.
  4. United have failed to score more than once in any of their last 7 Premier League away games. Having youngsters in the team makes they are unpredictable.
  5. There have been under 2.5 goals scored in United’s last 4 away English Premier League games as well as in Newcastle’s last 3 home games in the league. So, expect the trend to continue.
  6. United’s haul of 9 points this season is their worst tally in the top-flight in 30 years but it’s not certain they won’t drop points.
  7. Newcastle are 19th with 5 points. They have won just 1 and lost 4 of their 7 games so far. However, there are very few teams who are as much in mess as United and Newcastle, who are unbeaten in last 2 league games at home, will fancy their chances.

EPL 2019-Southampton vs Chelsea

For all the fantasy football geeks out there, we share prediction tips of league matches that will give them a better shot at predicting and winning. Starting with EPL 2019.

After an inconsistent start to the season, Chelsea would like to build onto their 3 wins in last 3 games in all competitions and break into the top 4 when they travel to face Southampton. They have relatively easier fixtures lined-up.

Chelsea youngsters have repaid the faith boss Frank Lampard has shown in them with Tammy Abraham, Mason Mount impressing so much with their performances that they have earned call-up to the English squad for their upcoming Euro qualifiers.

Meanwhile, Southampton, who have won 2 games so far, just 1 less than Chelsea would like to build onto that and register their 1st home win of EPL 2019.

Squads and Predicted Lineups:

Southampton at EPL 2019

Full-back Cedric Soares missed the Tottenham Hotspur game after pulling out injured in the warm-up. The Portugal international has a calf problem and will remain unavailable.

Moussa Djenepo is sidelined for the foreseeable future due to a hip issue. The Mali winger has scored twice in three top-flight games since his summer switch from Standard Liege, but has not featured since September 14.

Alex McCarthy and Cedric Soares will be assessed, with James Ward-Prowse potentially starting on the right.

Ralph Hasenhüttl might use a 3-4-1-2 formation.

Probable line-up

Angus Gunn; Jan Bednarek, Maya Yoshida, Jannik Vestergaard; Oriol Romeu, James Ward-Prowse, Ryan Bertrand, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg; Sofiane Boufai; Danny Ings, Nathan Redmond.

Chelsea at EPL 2019

Ruben Loftus-Cheek (Achilles), Emerson Palmieri (thigh), Antonio Rudiger (groin) and Marco Van Ginkel (knee) are out of Sunday’s clash.

Cesar Azpilicueta will be fretting for his starting spot at right-back after Reece James featured from the off in Lille, though after a lengthy layoff, Frank Lampard may resist the temptation to use the youngster.

He could make a sole change from the side that started against Brighton, with N’Golo Kante coming in for Ross Barkley in midfield which means sticking to the 4-3-3 formation.

Probable line-up

Kepa; Marcos Alonso, Andreas Christensen, Cesar Azpilicueta, Fikayo Tomori; Jorginho, N’Golo Kante, Mason Mount; Pedro, Tammy Abraham, Willain.

EPL 2019: Southampton vs Chelsea prediction:

1-     Southampton have won only two of their last 20 Premier League meetings with Chelsea (W2 D6 L12) and are winless in the last seven- 6 lost. Meanwhile, Chelsea have won 9 of their 12 away visits to St. Mary’s Stadium in all competitions, including each of the last four in a row. Barring any surprise, expect the Blues to hold onto their advantage.

2-     Chelsea have scored at least once in each of their last 15 away games against Southampton in all competitions (33 goals in total) since December 1997. With Chelsea being the 3rd highest scoring side this season, the streak will extend for another year.

3-     Southampton have won just one point at home in the Premier League so far this season. Don’t expect them to double it so far.

4-     Southampton have found the net in each of their last 17 home Premier League games. Meanwhile, Chelsea have kept just 1 clean sheet this season, that too at home in the last game, so don’t be surprised if The Saints stretch that run.

5-   Llast having a longer run in the top-flight between April 1980-December 1981 (31 games). However, Saints have only kept one clean sheet in the current run of 17. Also, only Watford (33) have conceded more Premier League away goals in 2019 than Chelsea (27).

6-     Southampton have managed just 3 clean sheets at home in the last 2 seasons, less than any other side in the Premier League.

EPL 2019-Arsenal vs Bournemouth

For all the fantasy football geeks out there, Starting with EPL 2019, we share prediction tips of league matches that will give them a better shot at predicting and winning.

Arsenal host Bournemouth with an aim to break into the top 3. They have somehow managed to find themselves in the top 4 so far. However, with Leicester above them, it’s not really what they would have targeted before the pre-season. Though their strikers have been in good form, they have been let down by their defence and have conceded 11 goals in 7 games, 1 less than what they have scored.

3 wins in 7 games might not sound really bad, given they have already faced Liverpool and Manchester United away and Spurs at home. However, it’s the way they have played that has left their fans in shatters. However, the struggles of Manchester United, Spurs and Chelsea means it has not been really hard on the Gunners’ fans.

In fact, their Europa League game on Thursday, with regular starters being benched or left out, looked smoother.

Meanwhile, Bournemouth are just a point behind their Sunday’s opponents and a surprise win can send them in the top 4, given how the league has unfolded so far.

Squads and Predicted Lineups:

Arsenal at EPL 2019

Unai Emery has plenty of options at full-back after both Kieran Tierney and Hector Bellerin played the full 90 minutes in the win over Standard Liege, though the Gunners boss may resist the temptation to have them play two games in the space of three days.

Alexandre Lacazette and Emile Smith Rowe sit out through injuries.

Dani Ceballos could come into the side that started the 1-1 draw at Manchester United, while Calum Chambers may continue at right-back.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has been in scintillating form, is expected to lead charge in the 4-2-3-1 formation.

Probable line-up:

Bernd Leno; Sead Kolasinac, David Luiz, Rob Holding, Calum Chambers; Matteo Guendouzi, Granit Xhaka; Bukayo Saka, Dani Ceballos, Nicolas Pepe; Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Bournemouth at EPL 2019

Harry Wilson is a doubt for Bournemouth, and his absence would be a massive blow for the Cherries, with Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld in line for a first start of his Bournemouth career.

Ryan Fraser is also a doubt through illness.

David Brooks, Dan Gosling, Junior Stanislas, Chris Mepham, Charlie Daniels and Adam Smith sit out the trip to Arsenal.

Eddie Howe may resist making wholesale changes to the side that drew 2-2 with West Ham. He is likely to deploy a 4-4-2 formation.

Probable line-up:

Aaron Ramsdale; Jack Stacey, Steve Cook, Nathan Ake, Diego Rico; Joshua King, Philip Billing, Jefferson Lerma, Arnaut Groeneveld; Callum Wilson, Dominic Solanke.

EPL 2019: Arsenal vs Bournemouth prediction:

1-     Arsenal have won all five of their home matches against Bournemouth in all competitions (four in the Premier League, one in the League Cup). Don’t expect them to drop points at home at this time in the EPL 2019, given they have lost just 1 of their last 21 Premier League games at home.

2-     Bournemouth have taken only four points from eight English Premier League matches against Arsenal. Something, they might struggle at once again.

3-     The Gunners have shipped 2 goals in their last 2 home matches, last doing so in three consecutive home games in December 2012. However, their defensive woes, coupled with Bournemouth’s attacking records- they have scored more than Arsenal this season, makes it possible.

4-     Both teams have scored in each of Bournemouth’s seven Premier League games so far this EPL 2019. It will probably stretch to another game, if not more.

5-     Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson is looking to score in 5 consecutive league games for the 1st time in 5 and a half years. Given his record against Arsenal- three goals in 4 Premier League appearances, he might be able to achieve this feat.

6-     Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could become the first Arsenal player to score 8 goals in the Gunners’ first 8 games in a Premier League season in 22 years.

7-     Arsenal have scored at least 2 goals in 12 of their last 13 home matches in the league and might do so once again.

EPL 2019 Match Predictions: Manchester City vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

English Premere League Match Prediction (EPL 2019): Manchester City vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

Home

October 6,

Etihad Stadium, Manchester

EPL-Manchester-City-vs-Wolverhampton-Wanderers

For all the fantasy football geeks out there, we share prediction tips of league matches that will give them a better shot at predicting and winning. Starting with EPL 2019.

Manchester City have conceded an early 5-point lead to Liverpool in the title race and are under pressure to make up for the drop points. However, Pep Guardiola’s side are never affected by pressure.

Wolves manager Nuno Espírito Santo had said following their draw against Crystal Palace that the injury time equalise will help them finally begin their season. Since then Wolves have won League Cup game on penalties, defeated Watford to jump from the 19th spot in the table to 13th and then register their first win in Europa League.

Manchester City’s performance in the English Premier League 2019:

Kevin De Bruyne has been ruled out for Man City with a groin injury. The Belgian, who has eight assists and two goals this EPL 2019,  joins John Stones (muscle) and long-term absentees Aymeric Laporte and Leroy Sane (both knee) on the sidelines.

Benjamin Mendy and Joao Cancelo both started in the Champions League in midweek but Kyle Walker and Oleksandr Zinchenko are expected back in the team.

As Sergio Aguero started in the Champions League on Tuesday, Gabriel Jesus will hope to start against Wolves on Sunday.

Ilkay Gundogan, David Silva and Bernardo Silva compete for two spots in midfield, with Raheem Sterling and Riyad Mahrez expected to flank the lone striker.

They are expected to field a 4-3-3 formation.

Wolves’s performance in the English Premier League 2019:

Portugal forward Diogo Jota is still absent after being sidelined for Wolves’ Europa League win at Besiktas on Thursday with an ankle problem.

However, apart from missing Jota, the visitors have a fully-fit squad to pick from.

They are expected to use a 3-5-2 formation.

Manchester City vs Wolverhampton Wanderers: Predicted Line-up

Manchester City

Ederson; Oleksandr Zinchenko, Nicolas Otamendi, Fernandinho, Kyle Walker; Ilkay Gundogan, Rodrigo, David Silva; Riyad Mahrez, Gabriel Jesus, Raheem Sterling.

Wolverhampton

Rui Patricio; Willy Boly, Conor Coady, Romain Saiss; Matt Doherty, Leander Dendoncker, Ruben Neves, Joao Moutinho, Jonny; Raul Jimenez, Diogo Jota.

EPL 2019: Manchester City vs Wolverhampton Prediction

  1.  Man City have only failed to score in one of their last 44 Premier League home matches. They have scored 142 goals in that run, netting five or more on 11 occasions. And though, this goal scoring run is likely to extend, don’t expect Kevin De Bruyne-less City to score 5 or more.
  2.  Wolves are seeking to avoid becoming the first team to get a red card in three successive Premier League away matches since Blackburn Rovers in April 2011.
  3. Since sharing points in their first home meeting, City have beaten Wolves in all 4 of their next PL games at Etihad.
  4. 9 of the last 14 goals scored during their meetings have been via set-pieces, including 4 of 5 last season. However, the absence of Kevin De Bruyne may impact this.
  5. Manchester City have won 19 of their last 21 Premier League matches and given they have already conceded 5-point lead in the title race, they are going to approach every game like hungry lions.
  6. There have been over 2.5 goals scored in Manchester City’s last 8 Premier League games, with City scoring at least 2 in all of them. Expect the trend to continue with Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling in City’s side.
  7. Manchester City have kept a clean sheet in 5 of their last 6 Premier League home matches. However, given the way Wolves perform against the big clubs, it might prove to be too much to ask from a City side, who are still without Aymeric Laporte and John Stones.
  8. Wolves ended a run of 7 Premier League games without a win against Watford last week but barring any major surprises don’t expect them to build onto that.
  9. City have scored 27 goals in their opening 7 league games this season and expect them to fire in mass again.
  10. Man City’s Riyad Mahrez has scored a direct free-kick goal in his last two English Premier League matches. He’s also two goals away from becoming the first Algerian to reach 50 Premier League goals. Wolves’ defensive struggle can help Mahrez.

EPL 2019 Match Predictions: Liverpool vs Leicester City

English Premere League Match Prediction (EPL 2019): Liverpool vs Leicester City

Home

October 5,

Anfield, Liverpool

epl-Liverpool-vs-Leicester-City

For all the fantasy football geeks out there, we share prediction tips of league matches that will give them a better shot at predicting and winning. Starting with EPL 2019.

After taking a 5-point lead over Manchester City early in EPL 2019, Liverpool will look to continue their winning form when they host Leicester City on Saturday. Their scrappy 1-0 win against Sheffield United, coupled with a patchy defensive display that saw them concede 3 times against Red Bull means the Reds would be as motivated as ever.

Meanwhile, Leicester come into this clash in great form having thrashed Newcastle 5-0 last week, a result that sent them 3rd in the table. They look to be the most likely candidate, given the struggling form of Spurs, Manchester United and Arsenal, to gate-crash the ‘big 6’ party.

Liverpool’s Performance in EPL 2019

Alisson is back in training, but isn’t likely to be fit enough to start until after the international break.

Joel Matip is a doubt for the home side and will be assessed closer to kick off, with Joe Gomez in line to deputise if required.

Xherdan Shaqiri is less likely to feature than Matip, having sustained a calf injury and it is unclear yet how long the midfielder could be out for.

Nathaniel Clyne will also miss the game.

Liverpool are likely to stick to the 4-3-3 formation.

Leicester City’s Performance in EPL 2019

James Maddison may miss out with an ankle problem, which would be a blow for the Foxes, but Brendan Rodgers will give the creator every opportunity to recover.

Matty James, however, miss out with a calf problem.

Rodgers may name the same formation (4-1-4-1) and the same XI that blew Newcastle away last weekend, Maddison’s fitness pending.

Liverpool vs Leicester City: Predicted Line-up

Liverpool

Adrian; Andrew Robertson, Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Trent Alexander-Arnold; Georginio Wijnaldum, Fabinho, Jordan Henderson; Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah.

Manchester City

Kasper Schmeichel; Ricardo Pereira, Caglar Soyuncu, Jonny Evans, Ben Chilwell; Wilfried Ndidi; Youri Tielemans, Dennis Praet, Ayoze Perez, Harvey Barnes; Jamie Vardy.

EPL 2019: Liverpool vs Leicester City Prediction

1- There’s no doubt that Liverpool’s front 3 possess threats. However, their back 3 are no dangerous either. In addition to their defensive capabilities, they are not scared to push forward either. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson have set up 2 goals each, only Roberto Firmino has set up more for Liverpool. Arnold has also scored a goal, and so has Virgil van Dijk. Don’t be surprised if they scored or assist again.

2- Liverpool haven’t lost to Leicester at home since 2000, and though Alisson’s injury has left a void behind, they make-up for it ahead and are likely to extend that run for another year.

3- Liverpool have won their last 16 English Premier League games, and are just 2 behind Manchester City’s all-time record set 2 years ago. So, don’t expect any the leaders to go soft.

4- Liverpool have built a fortress at Anfield. They are unbeaten in last 43 league games at home which is the longest current run in the top 5 European leagues.

5- Since the appointment of Brendan Rodgers, only Manchester City and Liverpool have won more points than the Foxes. A promising sign that should make the game interesting.

6- Liverpool have been winning at both half time and full time in 9 of their last 10 home matches in English Premier League. They have scored at least 2 goals in all 10 of these games, facts that promise a goal-fest on Saturday.

7- Jamie Vardy has thrived since Rodgers took charge in March, scoring five league goals this EPL 2019 and 14 in 17 matches. He has scored 7 and set up 1 in 9 games against the Reds.

EPL 2019 Match Predictions: Tottenham vs Brighton

English Premere League Match Prediction (EPL 2019): Brighton vs Tottenham

Home

October 5, 2019,

Falmer Stadium, Brighton and Hove

epl-Brighton-vs-Tottenham-Hotspur

For all the fantasy football geeks out there, we share prediction tips of league matches that will give them a better shot at predicting and winning. Starting with EPL 2019.

After some really shambolic results, including a 7-2 loss to Bayern Munich in the last game, Tottenham are seeking to avoid a full-blown crisis mode when they travel to Brighton this weekend. All is not well in Spurs’ dressing room either with reports Moussa Sissoko questioned Mauricio Pochettino’s tactics following the loss to Bayern Munich.

Meanwhile, Brighton still haven’t won in the English Premier League since the opening game of the season. But they might have sensed that this is the perfect opportunity to break that drought.

Brighton & Hove Albion’s Performance in EPL 2019

Shane Duffy is still out with a calf injury, while full-back Bernardo and Leandro Trossard remain sidelined.

Brighton and Hove Albion manager Graham Potter has confirmed that both Solly March and Alireza Jahanbakhsh will be available which means March will be pushing for a start.

Ezequiel Schelotto has recovered from a knee injury, but it remains to be seen when he will feature again.

Jose Izquierdo, Leon Balogun and Davy Propper also miss out.

Despite the defeat to Chelsea last week, Graham Potter could name an unchanged XI, sticking to the 3-5-1-1 formation.

Tottenham Spurs Performance in EPL 2019

Serge Aurier is suspended following his red card in the 2-1 win over Southampton, with Davinson Sanchez set to get the nod at right-back.

Giovani Lo Celso (hip) and Ryan Sessegnon (hamstring) remain Tottenham’s only injury absentees, but Pochettino will surely make changes to his team after Tuesday’s drubbing.

Christian Eriksen started the 7-2 loss to Bayern from the bench, but should feature from the off here.

Spurs are likely to field 4-3-1-2 formation but a back three could also be the order of the day, with Moussa Sissoko or Danny Rose going into the midfield.

Brighton vs Tottenham: Predicted Line-up

Brighton

Mat Ryan; Adam Webster, Lewis Dunk, Dan Burn; Martín Montoya, Dale Stephens, Yves Bissouma, Pascal Groß, Steven Alzate; Aaron Mooy; Neal Maupay.

Tottenham

Hugo Lloris; Danny Rose, Toby Alderweireld, Davinson Sanchez, Jan Vertonghen; Moussa Sissoko, Harry Winks, Tanguy Ndombele; Christian Eriksen, Harry Kane, Son Heung-Min.

EPL 2019: Brighton vs Tottenham Prediction

1-     Brighton are winless in all 4 of their English Premier League meetings with Spurs (Drawn 1, lost 3), losing both matches last season. Meanwhile, Spurs haven’t lost against Brighton in any competition since 1983. Even though Spurs are struggling, the end of this streak looks really difficult.

2-     Brighton have lost just one of their last 19 Premier League  games in October, losing away to Arsenal in 2017. And though they look unlikely to add to their tally of 10 wins, probably the best chance they have is to increase the number of draws in this month from 8 to 9.

3-     Spurs have won just 22 points in their last 19 Premier League games, 12 teams have won more and it won’t be a surprise if they drop points again.

4-     Tottenham have failed to win their last 9 away matches in EPL 2019 while Brighton have failed to win their last 8 home matches in the league. And barring any major surprises, Spurs might win the race to be better amongst the worst.

5-     Tottenham have conceded at least 2 goals in their last 3 away Premier League matches but are up against a team which has scored just 5 goals, less than 17 teams.

6-     There have been over 2.5 goals scored in 7 of Tottenham’s last 8 EPL  games while there have been under 2.5 goals scored in 5 of Brighton’s last 6 Premier League home games. Given the defensive fragility of both the teams, along with Spurs attacking abilities – only 2 teams have scored more than them- it’s Spurs streak that is likely to stretch.

7-     Only 4 players have created more chances in the Premier League this season than Brighton’s Pascal Groß – 17.

EPL 2019 Match Predictions: Manchester United vs Arsenal

English Premere League Match Prediction (EPL 2019): Manchester United vs Arsenal

Home

October 1st, 2019,

Old Trafford, Manchester

For all the fantasy football geeks out there, we share prediction tips of league matches that will give them a better shot at predicting and winning. Starting with EPL 2019.

Under-pressure, Manchester United host Arsenal in their league game. Just 8 points from 6 games have left them at 8th spot in the table and with injuries to several stars the Red Devils find themselves on the backfoot. However, Utd have featured well under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer when under pressure.

Meanwhile, Arsenal are riding high with 3 wins and just a solitary loss, that too against Liverpool, in their first 6 games. However, their struggle away from home is not hidden from anyone. They were held by Watford in their last away league game.

Manchester United’s performance in EPL 2019:

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has said ahead of their game against Arsenal that he never expected his reign as the Manchester United boss to be easy and his record at the club justifies his words. He has the worst win percentage among the managers who took over at Manchester United since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson. He has a success rate of just 51 pc- 19 wins in 37 games.

Despite returning against Rochdale in midweek, Paul Pogba is a doubt for the game with an ankle issue. Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford are expected to join Eric Bailly and Diogo Dalot on the sidelines, leaving Solskjaer with little choice but to start 17 years old Mason Greenwood. Greenwood has scored in each of his last two appearances for the club.

Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard are in competition for a starting berth on Monday night, while Luke Shaw returned to training on Friday and could make the matchday squad.

Solskjaer is expected to tweak the formation a bit to adjust to the injury issues. He is likely to use 4-3-3.

Arsenal’s performance in EPL 2019:

Newly appointed captain Granit Xhaka is expected to start for the Gunners while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will look to add to his tally of 6 league goals this EPL 2019 as Arsenal look to break free in the race to top 4 early in the season.

Kieran Tierney returned from injury to make his Arsenal debut in the Carabao Cup game in the midweek but may have to wait for Premier League debut. Hector Bellerin also returned from a long-time injury. However, he has been ruled out of the game. Meanwhile, Rob Holding is also unlikely to face.

Bukayo Saka and Reiss Nelson are in competition for a starting berth on the left wing with Alexandre Lacazette still unavailable.

Unai Emery is expected to stick to the 4-2-3-1 formation he used against Aston Villa last week.

Manchester United vs Arsenal: Predicted Line-up

Manchester United

David de Gea; Ashley Young, Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, Aaron Wan-Bissaka; Scott McTominay, Nemanja Matic, Andreas Pereira; Daniel James, Mason Greenwood, Juan Mata.

Arsenal

Bernd Leno; Calum Chambers, Sokratis, David Luiz, Sead Kolasinac; Matteo Guendouzi, Granit Xhaka; Pepe, Dani Ceballos, Reiss Nelson; Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

EPL 2019: Manchester United vs Arsenal Prediction

  1. There have been over 2.5 goals scored in Arsenal’s last 5 English Premier League games. However, there have been under 2.5 goals scored in 8 of Manchester United’s last 10 EPL games. However, given the defensive fragility of both the teams, expect a goal-fest.
  2. Arsenal have conceded at least 2 goals in their last 4 Premier League matches while they have scored at least 2 goals in their last 3 PL matches.
  3. Manchester United are unbeaten in their last 12 PL games against Arsenal at Old Trafford – a run stretching 13 years. However, United’s defensive woes and the absence of attackers may give them the chance to finally break the streak.
  4. Penalties have been awarded in Arsenal’s last 4 PL games and could become just the 6th side to see a penalty awarded in 5 consecutive games. Manchester Utd have won most penalties – 5- this season while Arsenal have conceded the most – 3. With defenders prone to mistakes in both sides and strikers with pace, don’t be surprised if the referee points to the spot.
  5. Jesse Lingard has scored four goals for United against Arsenal in all competitions, more than he has against any other side.
  6. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has scored 13 goals in his last 13 Premier League starts, and his tally of six strikes is the most by an Arsenal player in the first six matches of the season since Emmanuel Adebayor in 2007/08 (also six). United have managed just 2 clean sheets so far and Auba may very well add another goal to both the columns.

EPL 2019 Match Predictions: Lille vs Chelsea

English Premere League Match Prediction (EPL 2019): Lille vs Chelsea

Home

October 3, 2019,

Stade Pierre Mauroy, Lille

epl-prediction-lille-vs-chelsea

For all the fantasy football geeks out there, we share prediction tips of league matches that will give them a better shot at predicting and winning. Starting with EPL 2019.

Following losses in their opening group stage games, Chelsea and Lille face each other in the latter’s home as both of them try to get their European campaign back on track. While Chelsea have won 2 games since their defeat to Valencia, Lille have drawn 2 and won 1 of their 3 games since losing to Ajax.

Lille’s performance in EPL 2019:

Timothy Weah is the only injury concern for Lille while Gabriel and Tiago Djaló battle to partner former West Ham defender Jose Fonte at centre-back.

Lille are likely to stick to the 4-2-3-1 formation they used on the weekend.

Chelsea’s performance in EPL 2019:

Manager Frank Lampard said he is looking for improvement, tempo and concentration in Chelsea’s state of play, following their win last week.

N’Golo Kanté missed out against Brighton at the weekend because of injury but is expected to be back. With Mateo Kovacic also expected to return, Mason Mount should push forward into the attacking trio.

Reece James and Callum Hudson-Odoi are back from long-term injuries but aren’t expected to start on Wednesday. With Kurt Zouma an injury doubt, Andreas Christensen and Fikayo Tomori should be safe to start at the back for the away side.

Lampard is likely to use the 4-3-3 formation he used against Brighton in the English Premier League on the weekend.

Lille vs Chelsea: Predicted Line-up

Lille

Mike Maignan; Domagoj Bradaric, Gabriel, José Fonte, Mehmet Zeki Çelik; Boubakary Soumaré, Benjamin André; Jonathan Bamba, Jonathan Ikoné, Luiz Araújo; Victor Osimhen.

Chelsea

Kepa Arrizabalaga; César Azpilicueta, Andreas Christensen, Fikayo Tomori, Marcos Alonso; N’Golo Kanté, Jorginho, Mateo Kovacic; Willian, Mason Mount, Tammy Abraham.

EPL 2019: Lille vs Chelsea Prediction

1-     Lille will be Chelsea’s 5th different French opponents in European competition. The Blues have won 5 and lost 6 of the 16 games, all in the Champions League, against French side.

2-     Lille have only faced Manchester United in the Champions League, losing 3 and winning just 1 of the 6 games. However, Chelsea are vulnerable and it’s not really impossible to beat them.

3-     Lille have failed to score in 5 of their last 6 games against English opponents in all competitions but given Chelsea’s fragile defence- they managed their first clean sheet under new manager Frank Lampard this weekend- Lille might be able to find the back of the net.

4-     Lille have won just 1 of their last 4 games in all competitions and provide a perfect opportunity for Chelsea to get their campaign back on track, following a 1-0 loss to Valencia in the Champions League Opener.

5-     Chelsea have won their last 2 games, but those games were against not so fancied opponents and came on the back of 2 defeats. However, Lille, who have lost 2 and drawn 2 of their 8 league games, should not really trouble Chelsea, who might struggle to go through the next round if they fail to win 3 points.

6-     Lille are winless in 8 Champions League home matches since 2006 while Chelsea have lost their last 2 games this EPL 2019. They have never lost 3 in a row in the competition and it seems it would be Lille’s unwanted streak that would likely be stretched than Chelsea’s.

7-     Chelsea have kept clean sheets in 7 of their last 12 away group games in Champions League, a run which saw them win 7 games. However, Lille must fancy themselves to breach the Blues’ defence.

English Premere League Match Prediction (EPL 2019): Liverpool vs Salzburg

October 3, 2019,

Anfield, Liverpool

epl-2019-Liverpool-vs-Red-Bull-Salzburg

For all the fantasy football geeks out there, we share prediction tips of league matches that will give them a better shot at predicting and winning. Starting with EPL 2019.

Liverpool host Red Bull Salzburg as they look to return to winning ways in Champions League after losing to Napoli in their group opener. Salzburg are undefeated in their domestic league. However, they have dropped 2 points and lead the table with 5 points. Liverpool, meanwhile, have won all their league games so far and lead by 5 points as well.

Liverpool’s performance in EPL 2019:

Alisson is closing in on a first-team return after missing last nine matches in all competitions. However, he will likely be recalled only after the international break. Divock Origi returned from injury in Liverpool’s 1-0 win away to Sheffield United in the English Premier League at the weekend, but Nathaniel Clyne and Xherdan Shaqiri are still missing.

Georginio Wijnaldum is likely to get the nod over James Milner in the midfield.

Jurgen Klopp is likely to stick to his 4-3-3 formation.

Red Bull Salzburg’s performance in EPL 2019:

Erling Haaland scored a first half hat-trick as Salzburg defeated Genk 6-2 in their Champions League opener. However, Haaland emerges as a doubt for Wednesday night’s Champions League fixture at Liverpool with illness. If fit, he is likely to lead the line with Hwang Hee-Chan or else Sekou Koita will replace him.

Haaland had notably scored 9 goals in Norway’s 12-0 win over Honduras at the FIFA U-20 World Cup.

Antoine Bernede is out after picking up an injury at the weekend and will have to be replaced in midfield, with Enock Mwepu a candidate to deputise. Other than that, Salzburg are expected to name the side that faced Genk.

Salzburg are likely to stick to the 4-2-2-2 formation they followed in the first game.

Liverpool vs Salzburg: Predicted Line-up

Liverpool

Adrian; Andrew Robertson, Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip, Trent Alexander-Arnold; Jordan Henderson, Fabinho, Georginio Wijnaldum; Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino.

Salzburg

Cican Stankovic; Rasmus Kristensen, Jerôme Onguéné, André Ramalho, Andreas Ulmer; Enock Mwepu, Zlatko Junuzovic; Takumi Minamino, Dominik Szoboszlai; Erling Haaland, Hwang Hee-Chan..

EPL 2019: Liverpool vs Salzburg Prediction

1-     Salzburg have only lost once in their last 17 away group stage games in Europe, all of which came in the Europa League. Salzburg are winless against English opponents- 3 losses and 1 draw, a streak that is likely to extend.

2-     Liverpool haven’t lost a Champions League home match in nearly five years and are unbeaten at Anfield in their last 24 matches, something the European Champions should be able to build on.

3-     It will be Liverpool and Red Bull Salzburg’s first meeting. Liverpool have won 4 of their 6 meetings against Austrian sides and the last time they lost, in 2004 qualifiers, the Reds went on to win the competition.

4-     Salzburg have conceded 2 or more goals in all their games against English teams, and barring any surprises are likely to concede so again, given the threat Liverpool’s front 3 possess.

5-     Liverpool could become only the second defending champion of European Cup/ Champions League to lose their first 2 matches of the following campaign- after Nottingham Forest in 1980-81. Given the tricky nature of the EPL 2019 and Salzburg’s confidence, it cannot be completely written off.

6-     While a lot of focus has been on Liverpool’s back force of Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andrew Robertson, it’s in fact Fabinho who has made the most tackles (17) by any Liverpool player in the Premier League this season.

EPL 2019 Match Predictions: Everton vs Manchester City

English Premere League Match Prediction (EPL 2019): Everton vs Manchester City

Home

September 28, 2019,

Goodison Park

For all the fantasy football geeks out there, we share prediction tips of league matches that will give them a better shot at predicting and winning. Starting with EPL 2019.

Manchester City bounced back from their surprising 3-2 loss to Norwich with a thumping 8-0 win over Watford last week. The defeat made them realise that they can’t take Premier League for granted even if they have a Champions League game in the midweek and Pep Guardiola would want City to continue with the same intensity as the last week.

They face a struggling Everton side that has lost three of their last four Premier League matches despite continued substantial investment in improving the playing squad. However, Everton can pounce on the opportunity that arises from City’s defensive woes.

Everton’s performance in EPL 2019:

David Silva has won 199 of his 288 Premier League matches. He can now become the 26th player to reach 200 wins, and the fastest to do so, beating John Terry’s record of reaching that mark in 305 matches. However, with Champions League game to come, he may be rested.

Bernardo Silva played the 90 minutes in the midweek game and could be rested as well.

Pep Guardiola is expected to rotate the squad a bit but will likely stick with the same 4-3-3 formation.

Predicted line-up: Ederson; Kyle Walker, Fernandinho, Nicolas Otamendi, Benjamin Mendy; Kevin De Bruyne, Rodrigo, Ilkay Gundogan; Raheem Sterling, Sergio Aguero, Riyad Mahrez.

Manchester City’s performance in EPL 2019:

Everton’s defeat to Sheffield United last week ended their streak of 6 home wins.

Set-pieces have been a particular weakness for Everton. Four of the last six goals the Toffees have conceded, have come from set-plays and with players like Kevin De Bruyne and David Silva in opposition’s ranks, it can prove to be a disaster.

The Toffees have averaged 60 percent possession, second only to Man City, but Everton’s two victories this EPL 2019 have come in the matches where they had their lowest share of the play which hints they are better equipped to play on the counter-attack, a tactic they are likely to be forced to adopt against City.

Summer signings Andre Gomes and Jean-Philippe Gbamin are the only absentees to Marco Silva.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who scored both goals in their Carabao Cup win on Tuesday, is likely to start over Moise Kean as Everton continue with 4-2-3-1 formation.

Predicted line-up: Jordan Pickford; Seamus Coleman, Michael Keane, Mason Holgate, Lucas Digne; Fabian Delph, Tom Davies; Alex Iwobi, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Richarlison; Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Everton vs Manchester City: Predicted Line-up

Everton

Simon Moore; Jack O’Connell, John Egan, Chris Basham; George Baldock, John Lundstram, Oliver Norwood, John Fleck, Enda Stevens; David McGoldrick, Lys Mousset.

Manchester City

David de Gea; Aaron Wan-Bissake, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Ashley Young; Scott McTominay, Fred; Daniel James, Andreas Pereira, Marcus Rashford; Anthony Martial.

EPL 2019: Everton vs Manchester City Prediction

1-     Manchester City have scored at least 2 goals in their last 3 matches against Everton in all competitions.

2-     Everton have conceded at least 2 goals in their last 4 Premier League matches. Meanwhile, City have scored 24 goals so far. However, with Richarlison on their side and City missing Laporte and Stones, Everton too are likely to score. Thus, the fans are likely to be treated to a goal-fest.

3-     Everton are under pressure following a not-so good start and are likely to come out all guns blazing. They have won 10 Premier League home matches against reigning champions so far and can’t written off, even though it will be tough. Only Liverpool have won more home games against defending champions.

4-     Everton lead the head to head record in the PL 18-17. However, expect City to level that up.

5-     Aguero became the first player to score in each of the club’s first six matches of the season and is highly likely to extend that run to at least 1 more game.

6-     After failing to score in 2 league games and a Champions League game, Raheem Sterling was dropped for the game against Watford but found the back of the net against Preston in the Carabao Cup. Expect him to add to his tally of 5 league goals, if he steps on the field, even for a limited time.

English Premere League Match Prediction (EPL 2019): Tottenham vs Bayern Munich

EPL-2019-Tottenham-Hotspur-vs-Bayern-Munich

For all the fantasy football geeks out there, we share prediction tips of league matches that will give them a better shot at predicting and winning. Starting with EPL 2019.

Tottenham Hotspur will face Bayern Munich for the first time in the Champions League on Tuesday night as the German giants make the trip to the English capital.

Both teams are coming off the back of league victories and unless any major drama unfolds are the favourites to qualify for the next stage.

Tottenham Hotspur’s performance in EPL 2019:

Spurs allowed their 2-goal lead slip against Olympiacos in their Champions League Group B opener on September 18. The matches following that game didn’t do them any good either, with players and coach Mauricio Pochettino openly hinting that something is wrong within the club.

However, they managed to beat Southampton in the last game despite being a man down. The win would have likely boosted their confidence and games like these are the ones Spurs thrive on.

Spurs will be without Giovani Lo Celso (hip problem) and Ryan Sessegnon (hamstring issue). Son Heung-min was replaced in the 2nd half of Saturday’s clash with Southampton, but should be fit.

Christian Eriksen could keep his spot in a forward position, but Pochettino has plenty of options for change with Lucas Moura, Erik Lamela and Dele Alli all pushing for spots in the XI.

Spurs are likely to field a 4-3-3 formation.

Bayern Munich’s performance in EPL 2019:

Like Tottenham, Bayern will enter this match off the back of a league win at the weekend. However, the win was not as convincing as they would have liked ahead of a game of such magnitude. They were poor in defence, something that would have given Harry Kane and Co. some hopes.

Niko Kovac’s side are now unbeaten in their eight matches since the German Super Cup, though, and have certainly not struggled for goals during that run – hitting three in four separate matches, in addition to a four and a six.

Leon Goretzka and Jann-Fiete Arp are sidelined through injury, while Ivan Perisic is a doubt after missing the clash with Paderborn through illness. David Alaba was back on the bench at the weekend and could start, while Philippe Coutinho, Kingsley Coman and Serge Gnabry should all feature in a forward position.

Thomas Muller and Javi Martinez are also pushing for starts, although the experienced pair might have to settle for spots on the bench once again. Kovac is expected to field a 4-2-3-1 formation.

Tottenham vs Bayern Munich: Predicted Line-up

Tottenham

Hugo Lloris; Serge Aurier, Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen, Ben Davies; Tanguy Ndombele, Harry Winks, Moussa Sissoko; Christian Eriksen; Son Heung-min, Harry Kane.

Bayern Munich

Manuel Neuer; Benjamin Pavard, Niklas Sule, Jérôme Boateng, David Alaba; Joshua Kimmich, Thiago Alcântara; Serge Gnabry, Philippe Coutinho, Kingsley Coman; Robert Lewandowski.

EPL 2019: Tottenham vs Bayern Munich Prediction

1-     Spurs have not faced Bayern since knocking them out in the 3rd round of the UEFA Cup in 1983, the last trophy they have won in Europe.

2-     Spurs have won each of their last 4 Champions League game against German opponents (all vs Borussia Dortmund) and 8 of their last 11 Champions League home games. However, it’s not going to be easy against a Bayern side who love to dominate their opponents.

3-     Bayern Munich are unbeaten in their 9 away Champions League games and given the turmoil Spurs are in the Germans might match their run of 10 unbeaten games, achieved between October 2012 and April 2014.

4-     Philippe Coutinho looks to have found his mojo back since moving to Bayern Munich. He has scored 2 goals and assisted another couple of goals in 6 games and given the fact that he has played plenty of games against Spurs, he might be in for a blockbuster game.

5-     Bayern have scored 10 goals in their last 3 games and it seems there’s no stopping Robert Lewandowski, who on Saturday became the first player in Germany to score 10 league goals in 6 games. He has scored more goals than the entire Spurs team (9) in domestic leagues so far this EPL 2019.

6-     Bayern have won just 1 of their last 5 games away to English clubs but are unbeaten in their last 8 domestic games.

English Premere League Match Prediction (EPL 2019): Tottenham vs Southampton

epl-2019-Tottenham-vs-Southampton

For all the fantasy football geeks out there, we share prediction tips of league matches that will give them a better shot at predicting and winning. Starting with EPL 2019.

After winning the Premier League opener against Aston Villa and sharing spoils against Manchester City in the next game, it seemed Spurs were primed for a great season and manager Mauricio Pochettino might finally end his trophy draught at the club. However, a string of poor results followed with Spurs winning just 1 of the next 6 games and getting knocked out of the Carabao Cup.

The situation worsened so much that there has been a hint of feud in the team with Pochettino going to the extent of saying that they are unsettled. However, there could hardly have been a better team than Southampton for the last season’s Champions League runners-up to sort things out ahead of a vital Champions League clash with Bayern Munich on Wednesday.

Both teams are seeking to bounce back from a defeat last weekend, against Leicester City and Bournemouth respectively, and secure a third victory of the season.

Tottenham’s performance in EPL 2019:

Spurs’ last eight Premier League victories have come at home. They last had a longer run of wins exclusively at home between April 2000 and January 2001, with 10.

Spurs will once again be without their high profile summer signing Giovani Lo Celso, who picked up a hip injury whilst on national duty with Argentina. Juan Foyth should be available for selection, though Pochettino is unlikely to risk him. Another new signing, Ryan Sessegnon, will also miss the game with a hamstring injury.

Lucas Moura and Christian Eriksen could find themselves on the bench after few poor showings. Spurs are expected to follow a 4-2-3-1 formation.

Southampton’s performance in EPL 2019:

Moussa Djenepo is the only real injury concern for Southampton, with a muscular strain. Signed from Standard Liege in June, he has already scored twice for the Saints. Danny Ings will likely be rewarded with a start following his brace against Portsmouth.

Southampton are expected to follow a 4-3-3 formation.

Tottenham vs Southampton: Predicted Line-up

Tottenham

Hugo Lloris; Serge Aurier, Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen, Danny Rose; Harry Winks, Tanguay Ndombele; Dele Alli, Erik Lamela, Son Heung-Min; Harry Kane.

Southampton

Angus Gunn; Cedric Soares, Jan Bednarek, Jannik Vestergaard, Ryan Bertrand; Ward-Prowse, Oriol Romeu, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg; Nathan Redmond, Che Adams, Ings.

EPL 2019: Tottenham vs Southampton Prediction

  1.  Spurs have won seven of their last eight Premier League home matches against Southampton, losing the other 2-1 in May 2016. However, given the kind of form they are in Southampton can prove to be a tricky opposition and might spring a surprise this EPL 2019.
  2. Southampton are looking to win 3 consecutive top-flight away matches for the first time since February 2015, when they had a run of four.
  3. Spurs have won 81 games against Southampton but 63 defeats, including in their last meeting 6 months ago, suggest the Saints can pile more misery on Pochettino’s side. They had defeated Spurs 3 times in a row from January 2003 to March 2004.
  4. Spurs have lost 10 of their 24 league games in 2019 so far, their most in a single calendar year since 2014, when they had lost 12. Of the sides who haven’t been relegated, only Brighton- 13, Watford- 12, and Bournemouth- 11 have lost more than Spurs.
  5. Harry Kane has scored 4 goals so far this season and given the kind of player he is – he scores in bunches – this can be his game. He has scored 6 goals in his last 4 league games against the Saints.
  6. James Ward-Prowse, who played under Pochettino, has created more chances (9) and attempted more shots (10) than any other Southampton player in the Premier League this season. He famously scored the free-kick in Southampton’s win against Spurs in their last meeting.

EPL 2019 Match Predictions: Chelsea vs Brighton

English Premere League Match Prediction (EPL 2019): Chelsea vs Brighton & Hove Albion FC

September 28, 2019,

Stamford Bridge, Chelsea

EPL-2019-Chelsea-vs-Brighton-&-Hove-Albion

For all the fantasy football geeks out there, we share prediction tips of league matches that will give them a better shot at predicting and winning. Starting with the English Premier League 2019.

After a thumping win in the Carabao Cup, Chelsea host Brighton & Hove Albion FC side, who are unbeaten in their last 2 matches, in their Premier League clash as they look to shake off their shaky start and improve upon their position – they are currently ranked 11th. Chelsea will also be aiming to get their first home league win of the season.

Chelsea’s performance in EPL 2019:

Chelsea have a number of fitness concerns in defence. Emerson Palmieri has been ruled out until after the international break while Antonio Rudiger is likely to miss out again with a groin problem.

Andreas Christensen might recover from twisted knee but is unlikely to start. However, Frank Lampard has a problem of plenty in the midfield with the return to fitness of Mason Mount, Callum Hudson-Odoi. Hudson-Odoi should return to the Premier League squad for the first time since he ruptured his achilles tendon in April.

Chelsea are expected to stick to the 4-3-3 formation they used against Liverpool last week. However, injury to Emerson means Marcos Alonso, who substituted the former in the last game, should start. Andreas Christensen also left that game with injury and should be replaced by Kurt Zouma in the starting XI.

Brighton’s performance in EPL 2019:

Brighton look to be short of options in attack, with Leandro Trossard ruled out, whilst Jose Izquierdo and Alireza Jahanbakhsh are also expected to remain on the sidelines. Solly March missed last weekend’s trip to Newcastle, but Graham Potter is optimistic that he can be back in contention for this game.

Jahanbakhsh is expected to continue with the 3-4-3 line-up.

Chelsea vs Brighton: Predicted Line-up

Chelsea

Kepa; Cesar Azpilicueta, Fikayo Tomori, Marcos Alonso, Kurt Zouma; N’Golo Kante, Jorginho, Mateo Kovacic; Willian, Mason Mount, Tammy Abraham

Brighton

Mat Ryan; Adam Webster, Lewis Dunk, Dan Burn; Martin Montoya, Davy Propper, Dale Stephens, Steven Alzate; Aaron Mooy, Pascal Gross, Neal Maupay

EPL 2019: Chelsea vs Brighton Prediction

  1.  Chelsea have won all 8 of their league meetings against Brighton & Hove Albion FC. Another win would set the record for the most matches against an opponent while winning each time since Football League began in 1888.
  2. Brighton & Hove Albion FC have taken only 1 point from 13 PL away matches at last season’s top 6 sides. They lost the same fixture 3-0 last season.
  3. Chelsea have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their last 10 games in all competitions, including all nine under Frank Lampard. They have conceded 13 goals so far- 3rd most in Premier League. However, Brighton have scored just 5 goals so far and have failed to score in 5 of their last 7 away games, so Lampard might finally manage a clean sheet.
  4. Tammy Abraham is 2nd highest goal scorer in the league so far this season with 7 goals. However, he is yet to score a league goal against the Seagulls despite facing them 4 times.
  5. Brighton are aiming to improve their Premier League away record against last season’s top-six sides, having picked up just one point in 13 such matches. Given the way Chelsea, and specially Tammy Abraham, are scoring it looks a herculean task for the Seagulls.
  6. Chelsea have scored 3rd most-highest goal in Premier League this season with majority of that coming from their England stars. Expect Abraham and Co. to improve that tally even though Brighton have a relatively better defensive record. They have conceded 8 goals- only 3 more than Liverpool.

EPL 2019 Match Predictions: Sheffield United vs Liverpool

English Premere League Match Prediction (EPL 2019): Liverpool vs Sheffield United

September 28, 2019,

Bramall Lane, Sheffield

EPL-2019-Sheffield-United-vs-Liverpool

For all the fantasy football geeks out there, we share prediction tips of league matches that will give them a better shot at predicting and winning. Starting with the English Premier League 2019.

Liverpool travel to Bramall Lane to face newly promoted side Sheffield United on Saturday. Liverpool, along with Inter Milan, are the only sides in the top 5 European Leagues to have won all their league games so far and would like to extend their lead at the top of the table to 8 points, at least for a couple of hours.

However, it is not going to be easy against a stubborn Sheffield United side. The Blades have conceded just 6 goals in 6 games so far, the same as Manchester City and Manchester United. However, their problem has been up front as they have scored the fewest goals – just 7.

Liverpool’s performance in EPL 2019:

The Premier League leaders could be without 6 members of the 1st- team as injuries start to mount up, though Sadio Mane and Naby Keita are expected to be fit. Mane limped off with injury against Chelsea and with Champions League game in the midweek, Jurgen Klopp might have wished to rest him but injury to Divock Origi might force him to rethink his plans.

Calf and ankle problems mean Alisson, Xherdan Shaqiri and Nathaniel Clyne are also sidelined as Liverpool try to win their 16th straight Premier League game.

Until Jurgen Klopp decides to rotate the squad heavily, keeping in mind the Champions League game against Red Bull Salzburg, he is expected to follow the same formation 4-3-3 and name the same line-up which started against Chelsea.

Sheffield United’s performance in EPL 2019:

Sheffield United have enjoyed splendid start to their 2019/20 campaign, are on course to achieve their pre-season targets. They have given themselves a strong chance of surviving their first season back in the top-flight, with a number of impressive results, including a comeback draw at Chelsea and a 2-0 win at Everton.

There are far fewer fitness concerns for Sheffield manager Chris Wilder than Jurgen Klopp, with Kean Bryan the only player missing for them through injury. Striker Billy Sharp is available following his suspension for a red card versus Southampton in mid-September.

Sheffield are expected to stick to the 3-5-3 formation and the same starting XI which helped them stun Everton last week.

Liverpool vs Sheffield United: Predicted Line-up

Liverpool

Adrian; Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joel Matip, Virgil Van Dijk, Andrew Robertson; Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, Georginio Wijnaldum; Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino.

Sheffield United

Dean Henderson; Chris Basham, John Egan, Jack O’Connell; George Baldock, Enda Stevens, Oliver Norwood, John Lundstram, John Fleck; Callum Robinson, Oliver McBurnie.

EPL 2019: Liverpool vs Sheffield United Prediction

1-     Liverpool have scored 35 goals and conceded just 4 against the promoted sides in their last 12 Premier League matches. So expect another goal fest from the attacking trio of Mane, Salah and Firmino. However, Norwich City highlighted how Liverpool are yet to find their feet defensively and don’t be surprised if the Blades find the back of the net.

2-     Bramall Lane is one of only 3 grounds where Liverpool have not won a league game despite playing 3 games at the venue. Nottingham Forest’s City Ground (5 matches) and Blackpool’s Bloomfield Road (1) are the 2 other grounds. However, given the kind of form Liverpool are in, this record looks unlikely not to be broken.

3-     There’s no clear favourite based on the head to head record with both sides winning 2 games each and 2 ending in a draw.

4-     Sheffield have not lost 3 consecutive league home games since Feb 2013, when in League 1. The last time it happened at Bramall Lane was in 1990 but it will take an uphill task to stop their fortress from being breached.

5-     All 7 of Sheffield’s Premier League goals this season of EPL 2019 have been scored by different players, including 2 Own Goals. Given the tactics they rely on, they have played the most long balls so far, 8th player may well find his name on the sheet.

6-     Since 2014-15 season, Sheffield manager Chris Wilder has won more English league games and points than any other manager in the top 4 tiers. He has won 125 games and earned 426 points. However, that will count for nothing against the Reds and a thumping defeat may be on card if they don’t focus on their defensive duties.

Leicester City’s performance in EPL 2019:

Leicester City

Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers is still searching for balance in attack. He’s named changes in his attacking line-up in each of his last 3 games in the EPL 2019. Last game against Manchester United at Old Trafford, he went with Vardy as a striker, and Gray and Maddison on the wings. In the game before that, against Bournemouth at home, he went with Vardy as a striker, Marc Albrighton and Harvey Barnes on the wings and Maddison in a roving role. The only constants are Vardy and Maddison, and the rest depends on how much of an attacking threat he feels Tottenham will pose. The defence will remain unchanged.

Tottenham’s performance in EPL 2019:

After a lacklustre start to the season that saw a solitary victory, 2 draws and 1 abysmal loss against Newcastle, Spurs’ season finally sprung to life with a 4-0 thrashing of Crystal Palace. A nice home game would have allowed them to build some momentum, but an away game against Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City will require them to dig deep to get a win. It will provide a firmer test of their credentials compared to a limp and lost Palace side.

Pochettino rotated heavily for Spurs’ opening Champions League fixture against Olympiacos, and they return home with a 2-2 draw. Kane and Eriksen have been ever-present, and will start again. Moura, who scored against Olympiacos, will make way for Son, who was rested. Alli was substituted in the 2nd half and will probably start again this gameweek. Ndombele will make way for Sissoko.

Spurs will most likely revert to the line-up that served them so well against Crystal Palace, a flexible 4-2-2-2/4-2-3-1 with Eriksen and Alli playing in the half-spaces ahead of Sissoko and Wink and behind Kane and Son.

Leicester City vs Tottenham: Predicted Line-up

Leicester City

Schmeichel; Pereira, Evans, Soyuncu, Chilwell; Ndidi, Tielemans; Gray, Maddison, Barnes; Vardy

Tottenham

Lloris; Sanchez, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose; Winks, Sissoko; Erikssen, Alli; Son, Kane

EPL 2019: Leicester City vs Tottenham Hotspur Prediction

  1. Leicester have 54.6% possession in the English Premier League this season, which rises to 58% at home. Spurs have 57% possession, which drops to 46% in away games. But Spurs away games this season have been versus Manchester City and Arsenal, so that 46% is probably an outlier. Expect Spurs to have more possession and make more passes in the game than Leicester City.
  2. Both sides have been dangerous going forward. Spurs have 11 goals in the Premier League while Leicester have 6. 4 of Spurs’ 11 came against Crystal Palace and Leicester will probably not be so generous. The only game in which Leicester failed to score was against United, but this game is at home for them. Expect a victory for Spurs, but a narrow victory with both sides scoring. 2-1 to Spurs
  3. Son and Vardy are sure to score. Vardy has 3 goals in his last 3 games, Son scored a double against Palace. With Leicester at home, they will be more susceptible to quick, trademark counters, and with Son’s pace, he is likely to contribute with goals and/or assists. Kane is dangerous any time, but is currently on a slightly “barren” run of 1 goal in 3 games. Against Arsenal, of course.
  4. It will be an aggressive game with both sides committing to the tackle. Sissoko and Winks are no lightweights in midfield, and Leicester could always add Hamza Choudhury to their ranks, should they choose to. Expect Spurs to be aggressive, and to complete more tackles than Leicester in order to win possession back
  5. Tottenham have had more than 10 shots in every game, except the game vs City where they came up with 3. Leicester City, in their quest for defensive solidity, have managed more than 10 shots in only 2 of their 5 games. Tottenham will have more shots and shots on target then Leicester
  6. The assists are likely to be provided by Maddison and Eriksen. Maddison has 2 assists to his name so far in the league, while Eriksen has none.

EPL 2019 Match Predictions: Manchester City vs Watford

English Premere League Match Prediction (EPL 2019): Manchester City vs Watford

Home

September 21, 2019

The Etihad Stadium, Manchester

epl-2019-Manchester-City-vs-Watford

For all the football enthusiasts out there, we share prediction tips for league matches that will give our app users a better shot at predicting and winning. Starting with Premier League Fantasy Football.

Manchester City’s performance in EPL 2019:

Leroy Sane, John Stones, Phil Foden, Benjamin Mendy and Aymeric Laporte are all injured, leaving coach Pep Guardiola with a slight headache ahead of the clash against Watford at home. The injuries to Stones and Laporte, specifically, leave City light at the back with Otamendi the only senior center half fit and available. Fernandinho started at the heart of the defence along with Otamendi in the match against Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League, and that is bound to continue in the English Premier League.

Apart from that, there are no other injury concerns, and the only major concern is whether Kevin de Bruyne will start the game after the midweek match. He was substituted in the 77th minute, indicating that he will probably start, and Riyad Mahrez and Ilkay Gundogan will drop back to the bench.

Watford’s performance in EPL 2019:

After last weekend’s hard-fought draw against Arsenal, new/old manager Quique Sanchez Flores will likely start with an unchanged line-up against City. The pressing of the front 4, Gray, Cleverley, Hughes and Deulofeu caused Arsenal all kinds of problems playing out from the back. If he makes a chance, he will drop back Hughes into midfield, and play the pace of Pereyra/Ismaila Sarr to hit City on the counter attack. Troy Deeney will continue to miss out after undergoing a minor surgical procedure in late August.

Manchester City vs Watford: Predicted Line-up

Manchester City

Ederson; Walker, Otamendi, Fernandinho, Zinchenko; Rodri, D. Silva; B. Silva, de Bruyne, Sterling; Aguero

Watford

Foster; Femenia, Dawson, Kabasele, Holebas; Doucoure, Capoue, Hughes; Pereyra, Deulofeu, Gray

EPL 2019: Manchester City vs Watford Prediction

  1. Manchester City will have a lot of possessions in the game this EPL 2019. They average 59% possession in the premier league. Against Norwich, they recovered 69% possession. Expect them to have between 55-70% of the ball
  2. Manchester City will take a lot of shots. They have averaged 20 shots and 8 shots on target per game so far. Watford average 18 shots and 4 shots on target per game. Expect City to outshoot Watford, both on and off-target, and expect Foster to have to make at least 4-5 saves in the game.
  3. Given that City’s first choice defensive pair are out injured, they will be a little vulnerable defensively and Watford may nick a goal in the game
  4. City have scored 16 times in 5 games this season, while Watford have scored just 4 goals. The scoreline in this game will be comprehensive. Expect a 3-1 to 5-1 victory for Manchester City. They are just too brilliant in attack for a team that is at the bottom of the league
  5. Deulofeu looked dangerous for Watford against Arsenal and was unfortunate to not score. If Watford get their counter-attacking tactics right, Deulofeu could contribute with a goal or an assist
  6. Manchester City have goalscorers all over the team. Aguero has 7 goals this season; Sterling has 5. Gabriel Jesus, Bernando Silva, Kevin de Bruyne and Rodri have all contributed 1 goal each so far. David Silva has 4 assists to his name and Kevin de Bruyne leads both City and the Premier League with 5 assists so far. It is hard to predict who will score or assist for City, but we will go with Sterling, Aguero and Kevin de Bruyne for goals, and de Bruyne, Sterling and Silva to contribute the assists.
