ucl-Liverpool-vs-Napoli

For all the fantasy football geeks out there, we share prediction tips of league matches that will give them a better shot at predicting and winning.

Liverpool will secure top spot in Group E with a win over second place Napoli on Wednesday. Jurgen Klopp’s side are facing Napoli at the ideal moment, as the Serie A outfit are in turmoil on and off the pitch.

Liverpool could book their place in the last 16 of the Champions League with a game to spare when they welcome Napoli to Anfield on Wednesday night.

The holders will secure top spot in Group E with victory, but Napoli are the only team to beat them inside normal time this Champions League 2019 and know that a win of their own would also secure their place in the knockout rounds.

Liverpool’s performance in Champions League:

Mohamed Salah was an unused substitute in Liverpool’s 2-1 win away to Crystal Palace on Saturday, suggesting he will be fine to start against Napoli on Wednesday.

Jordan Henderson recovered from illness to start against Palace and the Liverpool skipper will continue in midfield alongside Fabinho and Georginio Wijnaldum here.

Andrew Robertson was considered a major doubt prior to the clash with Palace but recovered from an ankle injury to start.

They will stick to 4-3-3 formation.

Napoli’s performance in Champions League:

Lorenzo Insigne left the 1-1 draw with AC Milan on Saturday with an elbow injury and will miss out here.

Arkadiusz Milik is injured and is a big loss for Napoli, while Kevin Malcuit remain sidelineds for the away side.

Kostas Manolas was an unused substitute against Milan and should make his return from injury at Anfield.

Faouzi Ghoulam, Mario Rui and Fabian Ruiz have made the travelling squad despite fitness concerns.

Fernando Llorente, who won’t start, will miss Napoli’s last group game if he is booked on Wednesday night.

They are expected to use a 4-4-2 formation.

Liverpool vs Napoli: Predicted Line-up

Liverpool

Alisson; Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez, Virgil aan Dijk, Andrew Robertson; Jordan Henderson, Fabinho, Georginio Wijnaldum; Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane.

Napoli

Alex Meret; Giovanni Di Lorenzo, Kostas Manolas, Kalidou Koulibaly, Mario Rui; Jose Callejon, Allan, Piotr Zielinski, Fabian Ruiz; Hirving Lozano, Dries Mertens.

Champion’s League: Liverpool vs Napoli Prediction

  1. Liverpool have won 5 of their last 6 UEFA Champions League matches, with the only loss coming against Napoli in the return fixture.
  2. There have been over 2.5 goals scored in Liverpool’s last 3 UEFA Champions League games. Expect that to continue.
  3. Liverpool have scored at least 2 goals in 5 of their last 6 UEFA Champions League matches and with the return of Mohamed Salah and the form of others, expect them to do so again.
  4. Napoli are undefeated in 9 of their last 10 UEFA Champions League matches. However, Napoli have only won two of their last 10 matches in all competitions, drawing five of their last six. If they play the way they have played in the last few games, Liverpool might be a tough nut to crack especially at home, where they are yet to lose since September 2018.
  5. Liverpool, however, haven’t kept a single clean sheet at Anfield this season and might struggle to do once again.
  6. Liverpool have won 22 of their last 24 matches across all competitions and might win once again.
  7. In their last nine games, Liverpool have scored 9 goals in the final 15 minutes, with 7 of those proving decisive to the final result as the Reds have turned defeats and draws into win after win. Expect them to score late once again, especially if that is needed to decide the Champions League Results of who wins the game.

Euro Qualifiers- Germany vs Northern Ireland

After booking their place in the Euro 2020 with a 4-0 win over Belarus in the last game. However, they need to ensure they earn 3 points when they host Northern Ireland in the last game of their Euro 2020 qualifiers.

Meanwhile, Northern Ireland missed the chance to qualify via the tournament after being held by the Netherlands in the last game. Northern Ireland can still qualify through the play-offs though.

Northern Ireland would like to sign off their campaign on high.

Germany’s performance in European Qualifiers:

There’s not much goal experience in the German squad with Toni Kroos leading the line up just 17 goals. Timo Werner is next in line with 11 and could be under a lot of pressure to improve that tally.

Germany has no injury concerns from the side that faced Belarus on Saturday, and it would not be a surprise to see the same XI sent onto the field.

Indeed, Werner is again expected to join Serge Gnabry in the final third of the field, with Kroos lining up alongside Ilkay Gundogan and Joshua Kimmich in the middle of the park.

Niklas Stark is the only uncapped player in the squad, but Robin Koch only made his second appearance against Belarus, while Lukas Klostermann has just seven international outings to his name.

Kai Havertz and Marco Reus are both unavailable for Low having withdrawn from the squad due to injury.

Germany are expected to use a 4-3-3 formation.

Northern Ireland’s performance in European Qualifiers:

Hull City attacker Josh Magennis is once again expected to lead the line with support from George Saville and Gavin Whyte in the wide areas.

Jonny Evans has been outstanding for Leicester City this Euro 2020 and will start in central defence, with Craig Cathcart, Stuart Dallas and Jamal Lewis making up a familiar-looking back four.

Corry Evans should also keep his spot in the middle of the park, although Aberdeen midfielder Niall McGinn provides an option for potential change.

They are expected to use 4-2-3-1 formation.

Germany vs Northern Ireland: Predicted line-up

Germany

Manuel Neuer; Lukas Klostermann, Matthias Ginter, Robin Koch, Nico Schulz; Toni Kroos, Joshua Kimmich, Ilkay Gundogan; Timo Werner, Serge Gnabry, Leon Goretzka.

Northern Island

Bailey Peacock-Farrell; Stuart Dallas, Craig Cathcart, Jonny Evans, Jamal Lewis; Steven Davis, Corry Evans; George Saville, Patrick McNair, Gavin Whyte; Josh Magennis.

Euro 2020 Qualifiers: Germany vs Northern Ireland Prediction

  1. Germany have won their last 5 matches against Northern Ireland in all competitions and are the favourites to do so once again.
  2. Germany have scored at least 2 goals in their last 7 European Championship matches and might do so once again.
  3. Germany have won 6 of their last 7 European Championship matches, a run that has seen them move to the top of the table. However, with Holland expecting to overcome Estonia on the same night, they must beat Northern Ireland to claim the top spot. But it is something Germany can very well do.
  4. Germany has kept a clean sheet in 5 of their last 6 European Championship matches. However, they are unlikely to do so on Wednesday even though Northern Ireland have scored just 8 goals in the tournament.
  5. Germany have scored 24 goals in the tournament so far and though their next opponents have only conceded 7 goals, Germany should be able to find the back of the net on a few occasions.
  6. Northern Ireland have lost 2 and won 1 of their last 4 games, with the only win coming in a friendly. This poor run deteriorated their qualifiers campaign after they got off to a flier, winning the first 4. They might be able to trouble the Germans but expecting them to take 3 points might be too much.

Euro Qualifiers- Spain vs Romania

Spain will look to round off their Euro 2020 qualifier campaign in style when they meet Group F rivals Romania at the Wanda Metropolitano on Monday night. They have already booked their Euro 2020 tickets as the group leaders. Meanwhile, Romania’s hopes of progressing from the group ended following a 2-0 defeat to Sweden on Thursday.

Spain’s performance in European Qualifiers:

Real Madrid forward Marco Asensio continues to sit on the sidelines after suffering a severe knee ligament injury over the summer, while teammate Nacho will not return until January.

Valencia duo Rodrigo and Carlos Soler are ruled out along with Iago Aspas, who continues to recover from a back injury.

There might be opportunities for youngsters given Spain have already book their tickets.

Spain are likely to field a 4-3-3 line-up.

Romania’s performance in European Qualifiers:

Denis Alibec looks likely to start the game after the forward demonstrated some bright moments during a 15-minute cameo against Sweden.

Ianis Hagi, son of World Cup 1994 star Gheorghe Hagi, is also expected to receive a start having come on at half time in Romania’s last game.

Romania are likely to stick to the 4-4-2 formation they field in the last Euro 2020 game.

Spain vs Romania: Predicted line-up

Spain

David de Gea; Dani Carvajal, Pau Torres, Sergio Ramos, Jose Luis Gaya; Sergio Busquets, Thiago Alcantara, Saul Niguez; Mikel Oyarzabal, Paco Alcacer, Dani Olmo.

Romania

Ciprian Tatarusanu; Vasile Mogos, Adrian Rus, Ionut Nedelcearu, Nicusor Bancu; Ciprian Deac, Tudor Baluta, Ianis Hagi, Alexandru Mitrita; George Puscas, Denis Alibec.

Euro Qualifiers 2020: Spain vs Romania Prediction

  1. Romania have won four of their last 8 Euro 2020 games. Romania have only lost three times in their last 18 matches, winning 11 but it’s the loss tally that’s expected to increase when they face Spain.
  2. Spain are undefeated in their last 9 European Championship matches and 10 overall. They have won 8 and are likely to register a win again.
  3. Spain have scored in their last 39 matches. They have scored at least twice in 12 of their last 15 matches and are more than likely to do so once again.
  4. Spain have only conceded five goals in their last ten matches but might fail to maintain that.
  5. There have been 53 goals in Spain’s last 14 matches. Expect another goal-fest.
  6. Spain are unbeaten in 27 (W24 D3) EURO and World Cup qualifiers, since a 2-1 loss in Slovakia in October 2014.
  7. Romania’s last seven goals have been scored in the second half. They might be able to do that once again.
  8. Claudiu Keșerü has scored seven goals in his last ten games for Romania. He took 29 internationals to score his first six goals.
  9. George Pușcaș has scored five goals in his last eight games for Romania.
  10. Spain have scored 26 goals in the Euro 2020 qualifiers so far. Expect them to sign off with another goal-fest.
  11. 23 of Spain’s last 32 goals have been scored in the second half of matches. Another big 2nd half is on plate.

Euro Qualifiers- Kosovo vs England

After blowing their qualification chances with a loss to Czech Republic, Kosovo host England for the first time in the final game of their Euro 2020 qualifiers campaign.

Meanwhile, England are coming on the back off a big 7-0 win over Montenegro in the last game which was their 1000th game. They have already qualified for the Euro finals, as the group leaders. They may need a point to secure their place as one of six top seeds.

Kosovo’s performance in European Qualifiers:

Atdhe Nuhiu scored in the absence of star striker Vedat Muriqi on Thursday and the Sheffield Wednesday forward will be full of confidence ahead of Sunday’s welcome of Group A leaders England. Muriqi misses the game with injury once again.

It remains to be seen what side of team Kosovo will field given this game means nothing to them. Besar Halimi, Edon Zhegrova and Idriz Voca have been regulars for Kosovo in qualifying but were all benched against the Czech Republic. They will push to start here if changes are made.

They are expected to field 4-2-3-1 formation.

Predicted starting XI: Arijanet Muric; Mergim Vojvoda, Amir Rrahmani, Fidan Aliti, Benjamin Kololli; Besar Halimi, Valon Berisha; Edon Zhegrova, Bersant Celina, Milot Rashica; Atdhe Nuhiu.

England’s performance in European Qualifiers:

Gareth Southgate is expected to rotate from the side that started at Wembley, but is unlikely to make wholesale changes.

Jordan Henderson, who was set to return to the side after serving a one-match ban, will miss the game with a viral infection.

Raheem Sterling will also return after being dropped against Montenegro for a training ground altercation with Liverpool centre-back Joe Gomez.

Southgate has fielded seven different back fours in nine games this calendar year and England have looked shaky at times.

The England manager may look to protect Gomez at the weekend after the Liverpool centre-back was booed by supporters at Wembley. Tyrone Mings could replace him.

Joe Gomez injured his knee in the training and will miss out too.

Kieran Trippier could come into the side for Trent Alexander-Arnold, however.

They would stick to the 4-3-3 formation.

Probable starting XI: Jordan Pickford; Kieran Trippier, Harry Maguire, Tyrone Mings, Ben Chilwell; James Maddison, Mason Mount, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain; Raheem Sterling, Harry Kane, Marcus Rashford.

Kosovo vs England: Predicted line-up

Kosovo

Arijanet Muric; Mergim Vojvoda, Amir Rrahmani, Fidan Aliti, Benjamin Kololli; Besar Halimi, Valon Berisha; Edon Zhegrova, Bersant Celina, Milot Rashica; Atdhe Nuhiu.

England

Jordan Pickford; Kieran Trippier, Harry Maguire, Tyrone Mings, Ben Chilwell; James Maddison, Mason Mount, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain; Raheem Sterling, Harry Kane, Marcus Rashford.

Euro 2020 Qualifiers: Kosovo vs England Prediction

  1. Ben Chilwell registered a hat-trick of assists against Montenegro and might once again set up a goal.
  2. England have scored five or more goals in five different matches this calendar year – more than they have ever managed before. They have 34 goals from 9 games in 2019 and might actually break their record of 38 goals set in 1966.
  3. England are the leading scorers in Euro 2020 qualifying -33 goals. They have scored 3 goals more than Belgium despite playing a game less. Expect them to run riot once again.
  4. England have scored 13 goals without reply in their two games since falling to a first qualifying defeat in a decade. However, they have conceded 3 goals in the reverse fixture and are unlikely to grab a clean sheet.
  5. England are undefeated in 31 of their last 33 European Championship matches and are likely to win it again.
  6. There have been over 2.5 goals scored in England’s last 8 European Championship games. Don’t expect that streak to end anytime soon.

Euro Qualifiers- Germany vs Belarus

It’s a three-horse race in Group C and two wins this week will guarantee Germany a spot in the Euro finals. They face Belarus in first of those 2 games on Saturday night.

Germany have 5 wins from 6 games of Euro 2020 and are currently 2nd in Group C on head to head record with Netherlands, who face Northern Ireland, another team still in the race.

Meanwhile, Belarus are already out of reckoning having one just 1 of their 7 games and would like to sign off on a high. However, they are still in the play-offs courtesy Nations League.

Germany’s performance in European Qualifiers:

Emre Can is suspended for Germany after being sent off in their last Euro 2020 qualifiers.

Kai Havertz and Marco Reus have both withdrawn from Germany’s squad through injury.

Germany have altered between a four-man and three-man backline throughout qualification but are expected to go with the former here. With Reus unavailable, Germany may go with a 4-3-3 formation on Saturday.

Nico Schulz will hope to start at left-back as Marcel Halstenberg is not in the Germany squad.

Belarus’s performance in European Qualifiers:

Belarus did well against the Netherlands in their last Euro 2020 Qualifier, only losing 2-1 to the Group C leaders, and may feel inclined to go with the same approach on Saturday night.

Pavel Savitski, Ivan Bakhar and Sergei Politevich are sidelined.

They will stick to a 4-5-1 formation.

Germany vs Belarus: Predicted line-up

Germany

Manuel Neuer; Lukas Klostermann, Niklas Sule, Matthias Ginter, Nico Schulz; Toni Kroos, Ilkay Gundogan, Joshua Kimmich; Julian Brandt, Timo Werner, Serge Gnabry.

Belarus

Aleksandr Gutor; Denis Polyakov, Aleksandr Martynovich, Nikita Naumov, Sergey Matveychik; Ivan Maevski, Evgeni Yablonski, Stanislav Dragun, Igor Stasevich, Yuri Kovalev; Denis Laptev.

Euro 2020 Qualifiers: Germany vs Belarus Prediction

  1. Since being hammered 4-0 in their first qualifier, Belarus have proved relatively difficult to break down. They have only lost by more than a one-goal margin in one group game since then, though that was at home to Germany. However, Germany shouldn’t find it difficult to earn 3 points.
  2. Belarus have only lost one of their last three Euro 2020 qualifiers but it would be a huge shock if they picked up a point or three on Saturday, given Germany have won 5 of their last 6 European Championship matches. Germany should run out comfortable winners in the end.
  3. Germany have scored at least 2 goals in their last 6 European Championship matches and should be able to do once again.
  4. Germany have only won one of their last five home games, 3 draws. However, Belarus might find Germany too hard to handle.
  5. Germany have kept four clean sheets in their last six matches, having only kept two in their previous 16 games. They have only conceded against the Netherlands and it is likely to stay that way. Belarus have only scored four goals in their last eight games and might find it difficult to break the deadlock.
  6. Serge Gnabry has scored ten goals in his first 11 appearances for Germany and might be able to find the back of the net once again.
  7. İlkay Gündoğan scored twice in a match for Germany for the first time in their last game, the 3-0 win in Estonia. However, asking him to repeat the feet might be too much.
  8. Belarus have conceded 13 goals in their last eight Euro 2020 matches, having only shipped three in their previous ten games.

Euro Qualifiers-Spain vs Malta

Having already qualified for the Euro 2020, Spain face the worst side from their group Malta on Saturday in a game that could seal Spain’s spot at the top of the table. They need just 1 point from the next 2 games to top Group F.

Spain were flying high having won the first 6 games. However, a draw in the next 2 games brought them down to earth. Meanwhile, Malta have been struggling throughout the campaign. They won their Euro 2020 qualifiers opener but had a man sent off. Since then they have failed to compete properly.

Spain’s performance in European Qualifiers:

Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker Adama Traore had been set to feature for Spain having been called up to the senior squad for the first time, but he had to withdraw due to an injury.

Midfielder Dani Olmo and defender Pau Torres could make their debuts for Spain.

Morata, Paco Alcacer and Gerard Moreno are battling for one position, and the former could get the nod having scored in each of his last six appearances for Atletico Madrid.

Rodrigo is out with a back injury.

Spain are likely to use a 4-3-3 formation.

Predicted starting XI: Kepa Arrizabalaga; Jesus Navas, Sergio Ramos, Pau Torres, Jose Gayá; Santi Cazorla, Rodri, FabiànRuiz; Mikel Oyarzabal, Alvaro Morata, Dani Olmo.

Malta’s performance in European Qualifiers:

Veteran defender Steve Borg will miss the match through suspension, meaning that there is expected to be a spot at the back for Jonathan Caruana.

Juan Carlos Corbalan, who turns out for Gzira United, is set to feature in midfield, while 38-year-old skipper Michael Mifsud could get the nod alongside Kyrian Nwoko in attack.

Colchester United’s Luke Gambin is also expected to win his 23rd cap for the Reds in a wide area.

Mifsud has 41 goals for Malta but no other player has managed more than four, which is an indication of the troubles facing the away side on Friday night.

Predicted starting XI: Henry Bonello; Nikolai Muscat, Jonathan Caruana, Andrei Agius, Joseph Mbong; Juan Corbalan, Nicky Vella, Rowen Muscat, Luke Gambin; Michael Mifsud, Kyrian Nwoko

Spain vs Malta: Predicted line-up

Spain

Kepa Arrizabalaga; Jesus Navas, Sergio Ramos, Pau Torres, Jose Gayá; Santi Cazorla, Rodri, FabiànRuiz; Mikel Oyarzabal, Alvaro Morata, Dani Olmo.

Malta

Henry Bonello; Nikolai Muscat, Jonathan Caruana, Andrei Agius, Joseph Mbong; Juan Corbalan, Nicky Vella, Rowen Muscat, Luke Gambin; Michael Mifsud, Kyrian Nwoko

Euro Qualifiers 2020: Spain vs Malta prediction

  1. Malta have lost their last 7 European Championship matches and their fortunes are unlikely to change on Saturday.
  2. Spain are undefeated in their last 8 European Championship matches. After winning the first 6 games, they drew their last 2 games. In fact, Spain had won their last 14 Euro qualifiers games before the draws in the last 2 games. They are expected to return to winning ways on Saturday.
  3. Spain have scored 19 goals in 8 Euro 2020 qualifiers so far. Expected them to run riot against a lowly Malta side which seat on last in Group F table and have conceded 18 goals.
  4. Spain have conceded just 5 goals in 8 games so far while Malta have scored just 2, both on the opening day of the campaign. Spain might end up with a clean sheet. In fact, Malta have scored just 1 goal against Spain in 8 games – in a 12-1 loss in 1983.
  5. Spain have scored in their last 38 matches. They have scored at least twice in 11 of their last 14 matches but only once in each of their last two games. However, they might be able to score multiple goals once again.
  6. 18 of Spain’s last 25 goals have been scored in the second half of matches. Another big 2nd half is on plate.
  7. Sergio Ramos has scored in eight of his last 11 matches for Spain. He has also scored ten penalties for Spain (from 12 taken), including the last seven in a row. He will become Spain’s joint ninth highest goalscorer next time he scores, moving level with Julio Salinas (22). He will move joint eighth on that list alongside Alfredo Di Stéfano if he scores twice. Expect Ramos to join Salinas at least, if not Di Stefano.
  8. Alvaro Morata scored a brace in the reverse match and might find the net once again.

Euro Qualifiers-France vs Moldova

After dropping points against Turkey in their last Euro 2020 game, France would be eager to bounce back when they host group H strugglers Moldova on Friday. The draw against Turkey means France still need 2 points from their next 2 games to qualify for Euro 2020. However, they might no longer be able to top the group despite having the joint most point, given Turkey lead them on head to head record.

Meanwhile, Moldova have won just 1 of their 8 games and are looking to avoid last place finish in the qualifiers and give new manager Engin Firat a positive start. Moldova had lost the home fixture 4-1 in the first game of the Euro qualifiers.

France’s performance in Euro 2020 Qualifiers:

Blaise Matuidi has withdrawn from the France squad and been replaced by Matteo Guendouzi.

N’Golo Kante started his first game in more than a month at the weekend and will likely start. He will be partnered by either Moussa Sissoko or Corentin Tolisso.

Hugo Lloris is a long-term absentee with veteran Steve Mandanda poised to deputise once again, though Lille ace Mike Maignan is an option to make his senior debut.

With Lucas Hernandez injured, Benjamin Mendy could make his first appearance for France since September 2018. Everton’s Lucas Digne is also an option.

Clement Lenglet is ahead of Presnel Kimpembe in the pecking order to start at centre-back with Raphael Varane.

Olivier Giroud is a regular goalscorer for France and should start on Thursday despite the fact he never plays for Chelsea, while France are boosted by the return of Kylian Mbappe.

Kingsley Coman or Thomas Lemar compete for a starting berth on the left wing, with Antoine Griezmann set to play behind the striker.

France are likely to field a 4-2-3-1 lineup.

Moldova’s performance in Euro 2020 Qualifiers:

Vladimir Ambros has been forced to pull out of the Moldova squad through injury, while 19-year-old Virgiliu Postolachi has also withdrawn.

Veaceslav Posmac will start centre-back but it remains to be seen who will partner the 29-year-old with both Victor Mudrac and Anatolie Prepelita unavailable.

Moldova will also have to find replacements for Eugeniu Cebotaru and Alexandru Suvorov, who have both been ever-presents in qualifying.

Eugen Sidorenco or Vitalie Damascan will lead the line for the away side.

Expect Moldova to park the bus.

Moldova are expected to use a 4-5-1 formation.

France vs Moldova: Predicted line-up this Euro Qualifiers:

France

Steve Mandanda; Benjamin Mendy, Clément Lenglet, Raphael Varane, Benjamin Pavard; N’Golo Kanté, Corentin Tolisso; Kingsley Coman, Antoine Griezmann, Kylian Mbappé; Olivier Giroud.

Moldova

Alexei Koselev; Dinu Graur, Veaceslav Posmac, Igor Armas, Oleg Reabciuk; Alexandru Antoniuc, Eugeniu Cociuc, Artur Ionita, Catalin Carp, Radu Ginsari; Eugeniu Sidorenco.

Euro 2020 Qualifiers: France vs Moldova Prediction

  1. Antoine Griezmann leads the assist chart in the tournament while Olivier Giroud has scored five times in Group H so far and the pair might combine once again to score a goal.
  2. France average around 2.5 goals per game in the campaign. Meanwhile, Moldova have conceded at least 2 goals in 9 of their last 11 Euro 2020 matches. France might be able to match that average once again.
  3. France have conceded just 5 goals and managed clean sheet in 4 of the 8 games so far. Meanwhile, Moldova have failed to score in their last 5 Euro Qualifiers matches. So, don’t be surprised if they end up with another clean sheet.
  4. Moldova have lost 11 of their last 12 Euro 2020 matches, a run that looks likely to extend.
  5. France are undefeated in 14 of their last 15 Euro 2020 matches and are unlikely to be stunned on Friday either.

Euro Qualifiers-England vs Montenegro

England host Montenegro in their Euro Qualifiers in what is their 1000th game. England are three points clear at the top of Group A, and need just one point from their two remaining games to seal their place at next summer’s Euro 2020 Qualifiers. Meanwhile, Montenegro are out of reckoning after failing to win a single game and would like to end the tournament on a high.

England’s performance in European Qualifiers:

Raheem Sterling will miss the match after the bust-up with Liverpool defender Joe Gomez resurfaced at St George’s Park on Monday. The pair had clashed at Anfield at the end of Liverpool’s 3-1 win over Manchester City on Sunday.

This might boost Jadon Sancho’s chances of starting the game despite a dip in form.

Jordan Henderson is suspended due to an accumulation of yellow cards.

Tom Heaton withdrew from the England squad over the weekend through injury and has been replaced by Sheffield United shot-stopper Dean Henderson.

Ross Barkley has also pulled out of the squad to boost James Maddison’s chances of making his senior England debut.

Fabian Delph is not at full fitness after missing out at the weekend with a hamstring injury and remains a major doubt.

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ben Chilwell are by far and away England’s best full-backs at the moment but Gareth Southgate has been loyal to both Kieran Trippier and Danny Rose in the past.

Given the relative lack of experience in midfield on Thursday, the England manager may opt for the Trippier and Rose alongside John Stones and Harry Maguire at the back.

England are likely to stick to the 4-3-3 formation.

Montenegro’s performance in European Qualifiers:

Lazio defender Adam Marusic and Partizan midfielder Aleksandar Šćekic have withdrawn. Montenegro have named a hugely inexperienced set of defenders with the likes of Stefan Savic, Zarko Tomasevic and Marusic unavailable.

Marko Simic is the only defender named with more than 10 caps to his name and he has more than double the amount of international appearances than the other five defenders combined. Dusan Lagator is a midfielder but could drop back.

Marko Vesovic will likely deputise at right-back for the injured Marusic but Momcilo Raspopovic could come in for his senior debut.

Montenegro are expected to use a 4-2-3-1 formation.

England vs Montenegro: Predicted line-up

England

Jordan Pickford; Kieran Trippier, Harry Maguire, Danny Rose, John Stones; Mason Mount, Harry Winks, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain; Jadon Sancho, Harry Kane, Marcus Rashford.

Montenegro

Danijel Petkovic; Marko Vesovic, Boris Kopitovic, Marko Simic, Risto Radunovic; Dusan Lagator, Nikola Vukcevic; Aleksandar Boljevic, Nebojsa Kosovic, Vladimir Jovovic; Stefan Mugosa.

Euro 2020 Qualifiers: England vs Montenegro Prediction

  1. Having eased to a 5-1 win in Montenegro back in March, England should see out another comfortable victory at Wembley. If the Three Lions get an early goal, it should be a rout.
  2. England are undefeated in 30 of their last 32 matches in Euro 2020.
  3. There have been over 2.5 goals scored in England’s last 7 European Qualifiers games. Meanwhile, England have scored at least 3 goals in 5 of their last 6 European Championship matches. They might do so once again, despite the absence of their joint top scorer Raheem Sterling.
  4. Montenegro have failed to score in their last 4 Euro 2020 matches. In fact, they have scored just 3 goals in their campaign so far and despite England’s struggling defence they might struggle to break their draught.
  5. Montenegro have failed to win their last 9 Euro 2020 matches and they might not be able to change their fortunes on Friday either.
  6. England are undefeated in their last 5 matches against Montenegro in all competitions- 3 draws, 2 wins. It is in all likelihood expected to stay this way.
  7. Harry Kane has scored 8 goals in the tournament so far. He has scored in every game and should be able to find the net once again.

Euro Qualifiers- Crystal Palace vs Manchester City

Having already conceded an 8-point lead in the title race, Manchester City travel to Crystal Palace in a bid to return to the winning ways, having lost to Wolves in their last game 2 weeks ago, which seems like an eternity now, due to the international break in between.

Meanwhile, 2 back to back wins have sent Palace to 6th, just 2 points behind the defending champions Manchester City. A win – their 3rd in a row – will take them above their opponents. However, these mini breaks normally give the bigger teams the chance to regroup and things hardly remain the same. Another problem for the Eagles is the fact their next 5 games are against the sides who are above them at the moment.

Crystal Palace’s performance in Euro 2020 Qualifiers:

The Eagles remain without Mamadou Sakho for the time being. The former Liverpool defender stepped up his recovery from a strain over the break, though is yet to return to full first-team training.

Captain Luka Milivojevic was suspended for the win at West Ham before the international break having rather impressively racked up five yellow cards already this Euro Finals.

The Serbian will return to the base of midfield, with James McCarthy likely to drop back to the bench.

Palace are expected to stick to the 4-5-1 formation that has highly contributed to their success so far this season.

Man City’s performance in Euro 2020 Qualifiers:

City are still without long-term absentees Aymeric Laporte and Leroy Sane, while John Stones, Benjamin Mendy and Kevin De Bruyne are expected to be available for selection following their recent injury troubles. Stones and De Bruyne were all pictured in first-team training this week.

Oleksandr Zinchenko had a brilliant game for Ukraine against Portugal in the Euro Qualifiers and is expected to get the nod at left-back after playing well for Ukraine during the international break.

City are expected to stick to their 4-3-3 formation.

Crystal Palace vs Manchester City: Predicted line-up

Crystal Palace

Vicente Guaita; Joel Ward, Gary Cahill, Martin Kelly, Patrick Van Aanholt; Luka Milivojevic, James McArthur, Cheikhou Kouyate; Jeffrey Schlupp, Wilfried Zaha, Jordan Ayew.

Manchester City

Ederson; Kyle Walker, Nicolas Otamendi, John Stones, Oleksandr Zinchenko; David Silva, Rodrigo, Kevin De Bruyne; Riyad Mahrez, Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling

Euro 2020 Qualifiers: Crystal Palace vs Manchester City prediction

  1. Though Man City lost at home to Palace last season, they are yet to lose away at Palace since April 2015. Also, the Citizens have won 10 of their last 11 games on the road. Palace are in hot form but don’t have the pace like the Wolves had to catch City’s defenders by surprise and Stones’ return will also dent Palace’s hopes.

  2. A win would give Palace a three-game winning run for the first time in 17 months.

  3. Raheem Sterling (six league goals in 2019-20) bagged a brace against Crystal Palace in their last meeting and might find the back of the net again, following his return to form with England.

  4. City have scored eight goals this season involving more than 10 passes in the build-up and playing like that, with quick passing and lots of off the ball movement, will be key to them breaking Palace down and recording a victory.

  5. Games between these two have often involved a lot of goals, with City scoring in 15 of the pair’s 16 most recent meetings. Crystal Palace have seen over 2.5 goals in 8 of their last 9 matches against Man City in all competitions and don’t be surprised if it happens again.

  6. There have been over 2.5 goals scored in Man City’s last 5 away Premier League games. Man City have scored at least 2 goals in 8 of their last 9 away matches (Premier League). It all points to a goal-fest.

  7. There have been under 2.5 goals scored in Crystal Palace’s last 4 Premier League home games. However, it is more to do with the form of the opponents they have faced.

  8.  Zaha has completed at least 12 more dribbles than any other player in the Premier League this season (38). Meanwhile, De Bruyne has created more chances than any other Premier League player this season (29). Given, they both play it might be difficult to stop them.

  9. Milivojevic has already racked up 5 yellow cards this season. And given the pace of the game that is expected, don’t be shocked if he is booked again.

Friends Arena, Sweden

Sweden vs Spain

Sweden host Spain in a game which can severely dent their Euro finals hope. A defeat, clubbed with a win for Romania, will push Sweden to 3rd in the table and will make their upcoming game against Romania a virtual knockout affair.

Having scored 17 goals in the campaign so far, they must fancy themselves against a Spanish side that looks a bit vulnerable and Sergio Ramos’ absence will further complicate things for La Roja.

Meanwhile, after starting 11 players from 11 different clubs against Norway, normalcy is expected to be restored by Spain. With 3 games left, they are 6 points clear of 3rd placed Romania in Group F and a draw on Wednesday will be enough to send them through, and that too as group leaders.

An error from Kepa in injury time cost them the game against Norway and they had to settle for a draw. However, they have been ruthless in the tournament and a draw in Solna will be enough for them to book their place at next summer’s tournament.

Sweden’s performance in Euro 2020 Qualifiers:

Sweden boss Janne Andersson has no fresh injury concerns from the team that comfortably overcame Malta.

There are not expected to be many alterations from that match.

Emil Forsberg and Sebastian Larsson are both expected to feature in the wide midfield berths, although Manchester United’s Victor Lindelof could come into the XI after sitting out the clash with Malta due to a back injury.

Alexander Isak, who plays his club football in Spain, is likely to be recalled up front in place of Marcus Berg, who is yet to score in this campaign.

They are expected to stick to their 4-4-2 formation.

Spain’s performance in Euro 2020 Qualifiers:

The squad is almost unrecognisable at the moment with a number of players left out for various reasons. Mikel Oyarzabal, Rodrigo Moreno and Dani Ceballos actually started as the front three against Norway, which is an indication of how things have changed in the current set-up.

Sergio Ramos, who became Spain’s most capped player and Europe’s most capped outfield player on Saturday, is suspended after collecting his 3rd yellow card in the tournament.

Coach Robert Moreno must therefore choose between Diego Llorente and Inigo Martinez to replace Ramos in defence, while Thiago Alcantara and Dani Carvajal could be recalled.

Meanwhile, Kepa whose error led to Norway’s equaliser in the injury time may have to warm the bench.

Spain are expected to field a 4-3-3 formation.

Sweden vs Spain: Predicted line-up Euro Qualifiers

Sweden

Robin Olsen; Mikael Lustig, Victor Lindelof, Andreas Granqvist, Pierre Bengtsson; Sebastian Larsson, Kristoffer Olsson, Albin Ekdal, Emil Forsberg; Robin Quaison, Alexander Isak.

Spain

David de Gea; Dani Carvajal, Raul Albiol, Inigo Martinez, Juan Bernat; Thiago Alcantara, Saul Niguez, Fabian Ruiz; Mikel Oyarzabal, Rodrigo Moreno, Dani Ceballos.

Euro 2020 Qualifiers: Sweden vs Spain prediction

  1. Spain are normally a safe bet to win on their travels but Sweden are a hard side to beat on home soil. La Roja have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last three away outings and without Sergio Ramos, they may struggle to do so.
  2. There have been over 2.5 goals scored in 6 of Sweden’s last 7 European Championship games. The trend looks likely to continue.
  3. Spain have won their last 3 matches against Sweden in all competitions and though it might not be really easy, they might edge this one too.
  4.  Spain are undefeated in their last 7 European Championship matches. Barring any major surprise, they might make it 8.
  5. Sweden have lost just one of their last 10 competitive matches – the reverse fixture against Spain.
  6. Spain have scored 18 goals in the 7 Euro 2020 qualifiers games so far and will in likelihood add to it.
  7. The draw against Norway actually brought to an end a seven-game winning run for La Roja, who will host Malta and Romania in their final two group games next month.

Euro Qualifiers France vs Turkey

France host Turkey in the top of table clash in Euro qualifiers. They have 18 points from 7 games but having beaten France at home, Turkey find themselves on top of Group H due to the head to head record. The winner will seal the Euro 2020 Qualifiers finals berth and will likely progress as the group winners. Iceland are 6 points behind on the 3rd place with 3 games to go.

After scrapping to a 1-0 win in their last game against Iceland, France know they must be at their best if they have to avenge their loss.

Meanwhile, Turkey too edged Albania 1-0, needing a last-minute winner, and know they must repeat the heroics from their last head to head if they have to trouble the world champions. However, they know even a point will keep them in hunt to top the group.

France’s performance in Euro 2020 Qualifiers:

France miss a number of stars and are far from their best. Hugo Lloris, Aymeric Laporte, Benjamin Mendy, Ousmane Dembele, Anthony Martial, Kylian Mbappe, Lucas Hernandez, Paul Pogba and the list goes on.

N’Golo Kante picked up an injury against Iceland. However, coach Didier Deschamps has played down any concern. He is in doubt for the game.

Olivier Giroud is expected to lead the line with support from Antoine Griezmann, but the likes of Tanguy Ndombele and Wissam Ben Yedder are among those pushing for positions in the team.

They are likely to use a 4-3-3 formation.

Turkey’s performance in Euro 2020 Qualifiers:

Centre-back Kaan Ayhan came off at half-time with an injury against Albania and was replaced by in-form Leicester man Cenk Soyuncu, who is likely to start here.

Veteran captain Emre Belozoglu also sustained an injury against Albania and has been ruled out of this one, so either fit-again Okay Yokuslu or Irfan Can Kahveci will come into the midfield.

Burak Yilmaz and Hakan Calhanoglu should continue alongside Cenk Tosun in attack.

One change could see Caglar Soyuncu come into the XI, though, as the central defender has been in impressive form for Leicester City in the early stages of the 2019-20 campaign.

They are likely to stick to the 4-3-3 formation used against Albania.

France vs Turkey: Predicted line-up this Euro Qualifiers

France

Steve Mandanda; Benjamin Pavard, Raphael Varane, Clement Lenglet, Lucas Digne; Moussa Sissoko, Corentin Tolisso, Blaise Matuidi; Kingsley Coman, Olivier Giroud, Antoine Griezmann.

Turkey

Fehmi Mert Gunok; Umut Meras, Merih Demiral, Caglar Soyuncu, Mehmet Zeki Celik; Okay Yokuslu, Mahmut Tekdemir, Ozan Tufan; Burka Yilmaz, Cenk Tosun, Hakan Calhanoglu.

Euro 2020 Qualifiers: France vs Turkey prediction

  1. Turkey have kept a clean sheet in 7 of their last 8 European Championship matches. Though it might seem difficult against the world champions, it can’t be completely written off given they had kept a clean sheet in their last head to head game and France have a number of injury concerns.
  2. Turkey have won 7 of their last 8 European Championship matches, a run that sees them top of the group. Expecting a win from the Turks might be too much.
  3. France have won 6 of their last 7 European Championship matches. The only defeat was against Turkey.
  4. France have seen under 2.5 goals in their last 3 matches against Turkey in all competitions. So, don’t expect a lot of goals.
  5. France have conceded just one in their last four and may escape on Tuesday.

Euro Qualifiers-Bulgaria vs England

A dire showing in Prague saw Czech Republic run out 2-1 winners to delay the Three Lions confirming their name in November’s tournament group stage draw. However, England have another chance to secure qualification for Euro 2020 Qualifiers when they face Bulgaria in Sofia on Mon night.

Trent Alexander-Arnold had talked about their defensive woes before their game against Czech and it was highlighted in the match. Away against the last placed team in Group A, England will be hoping to count on their defenders.

Meanwhile, Dimitar Berbatov has warned England they could struggle to beat Bulgaria unlike the reverse fixture and the hosts, who have lost 3 and played 3 draws, would be eager to register their first win of the tournament.

Bulgaria’s performance in Euro 2020 Qualifiers:

Captain Ivelin Popov should return to the side after missing out against Montenegro, with the 3 years old by far the most experienced and highest-scoring player in the squad.

Manager Krasimir Balakov has also been hit with a couple of defensive withdrawals due to injury – both Strahil Popov and Vasil Bozhikov have pulled out of the squad since the Montenegro draw.

They are expected to field a 4-2-3-1 formation.

England’s performance in Euro 2020 Qualifiers:

Gareth Southgate is likely to consider changes following the defeat in Prague, but captain and striker Harry Kane will retain his place having scored seven goals in five qualifiers so far – including a hat-trick in the reverse fixture.

Michael Keane had another wretched game and Joe Gomez and Fikayo Tomori are waiting in the wings. Both Danny Rose and Kieran Trippier are likely to be swapped out for Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ben Chilwell.

Harry Winks could come in after England’s pondering midfield showing in Prague. Marcus Rashford will be hoping for a chance from the off.

The similarly in-form Raheem Sterling, who won the penalty Kane converted against the Czechs, is also expected to start again, leaving Rashford to battle it out with Jadon Sancho for the other spot in that front three.

Mason Mount impressed as much as could be expected considering how poor England were on Friday night and could be given the opportunity to earn his second England start.

England are likely to stick to the 4-3-3 formation.

Bulgaria vs England: possible line-up this Euro Qualifiers:

Bulgaria

Plamen Iliev; Georgi Pashov, Kristian Dimitrov, Petar Zanev, Anton Nedyalkov; Marcelinho, Iliya Milanov; Georgi Ivanov, Wanderson, Ivelin Popov; Bozhidar Kraev

England

Jordan Pickford; Trent Alexander-Arnold, Harry Maguire, Joe Gomez, Ben Chilwell; Jordan Henderson, Harry Winks, Mason Mount; Raheem Sterling, Harry Kane, Marcus Rashford.

Euro 2020 Qualifiers: Bulgaria vs England prediction

  1.  England won the last head to head game 4-0 with Kane scoring a hattrick last month. Kane has scored in every game of the tournament so far and is expected to continue that streak. Though England will have to address their woes if they have to earn points.

  2. There have been over 2.5 goals scored in England’s last 6 games. Something which should not be a problem on Mon night.

  3. England have kept a clean sheet in their last 4 matches against Bulgaria in all competitions. However, it might be a really uphill task for their struggling defenders.

  4. England have scored at least 3 goals in their last 3 matches against Bulgaria in all competitions. England have been winning at both half time and full time in their last 3 matches against Bulgaria in all competitions. That at the moment looks like a fantasy.

Euro Qualifiers-Estonia vs Germany

After surrendering a 2-goal lead against Argentina in their 2-2 friendly draw, Germany return to action in the Euro 2020 qualifiers against probably the weakest team in their Group C. They travel to Estonia with a view to break free of Northern Ireland, who have 12 points, just like Germany.

A win for Germany will take them 3 points clear of Northern Ireland with 2 games left in the campaign. Northern Ireland, who face Germany and Netherlands in their last 2 games, must be praying for Estonia to at least double their tally in the campaign- Estonia have just 1 point from their 6 games.

As for Estonia, it is simply a case of damage limitation as they look to end what has been a dismal campaign on some kind of a positive note.

Nevertheless, the 8-0 thrashing in the reverse fixture with Germany back in June is still fresh in their minds, and it will take a united effort to ensure that they are not thrashed again, this time in front of home crowd.

Estonia’s performance in Euro 2020 Qualifiers:

Karel Voolaid may potentially name the same XI from the stalemate with Belarus. Frank Liivak could replace Sergei Zenjov on the right flank if a change is made to the starting lineup.

They are expected to stick to 4-2-3-1 formation.

Germany’s performance in Euro 2020 Qualifiers:

While Germany are still far from the finished article as they continue through their transitional period, Joachim Low will be relatively satisfied with the position that his side find themselves in.

Although the next couple of fixtures are opportunities to hand chances to the majority of his squad at a time when he will already be contemplating his 23-man group for Euro finals, Low will still have ambitions to top the group.

Serge Gnabry is in red-hot form and Low said after Argentina game that he didn’t let Gnabry play full 90 mins because he was playing with too much energy.

Gnabry will likely join Marco Reus and Timo Werner in the front 3. Manuel Neuer will return to goalkeeping duties with Marc-Andre ter Stegen making way.

Ilkay Gundogan will also hope to feature having played no part of the meeting with Argentina. The inclusion of Gundogan could lead to Emre Can dropping out of the team in a 3-4-3 formation.

Estonia vs Germany: possible line-up this Euro Qualifiers:

Estonia

Sergei Lepmets; Taijo Teniste, Nikita Baranov, Karol Mets, Ken Kallaste; Vladislav Kreida, Mattias Kait; Frank Liivak, Konstantin Vassiljev, Henrik Ojamaa; Erik Sorga

Germany

Manuel Neuer; Niklas Stark, Niklas Süle, Robin Koch; Lukas Klostermann, Joshua Kimmich, Ilkay Gündogan, Marcel Halstenberg; Serge Gnabry, Marco Reus, Timo Werner.

Euro Qualifiers 2020: Estonia vs Germany prediction

  1. Estonia have failed to score in 7 of their last 9 European Championship matches. They have scored just 2 goals in 6 games. Though this is a home game for them if Low fields his best XI, which he is likely to do, Germany might end up with a clean sheet.
  2. Germany have scored at least 2 goals in their last 5 European Championship matches while Estonia have conceded 18 goals in last 6. Given the form of Gnabry and Reus and Werner’s talent, score the former champions to continue their scoring spree.
  3. Estonia have failed to win their last 9 European Championship matches and Germany might prove to be too strong for them to end that streak.
  4.  Germany have won all four of their meetings with Estonia, scoring 19 goals and conceding just once. It might be a performance on a similar line.
  5. Gnabry has netted 6 goals in 6 games for Germany in 2019, improving his international scoring record to a remarkable 10 goals in 11 appearances.
  6. Löw’s men have won all three of their qualifiers away from home during the current campaign, and this is the easiest game compared to the games against the Netherlands, Belarus and Northern Ireland.

Euro Qualifiers prediction: Real Madrid vs Club Brugge

UEFA Euro Qualifiers Prediction: Real Madrid vs Club Brugge

Home

October 1, 2019,

Santiago Bernabéu, Madrid

euro-qualifiers-real-madrid-vs-club-brugge

For all the fantasy football geeks out there, we share prediction tips of league matches that will give them a better shot at predicting and winning.

After suffering their joint-heaviest defeat in the Champions Premier League opener against Paris Saint Germain, Real bounced back in style to earn 7 out of a possible 9 points in the next 3 games, in La Liga. The last one of them, in particular, must have given them a huge boost of confidence as they look to get their Champions League campaign back on track when they host Belgium’s Club Brugge on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Brugge warm-up for the clash with a 5-0 thumping win in their league and know that the Spanish giants are still coping to life and can be beaten. They must be riding high in confidence, and must have found the chemistry right as their season started a bit earlier, given their long Champions League qualifier campaign, and the draw against Galatasaray in their group stage opener.

Real Madrid’s performance in EPL 2019:

Real Madrid are still unbeaten in LaLiga after 7 games and lead the table, despite having tricky start, which included the famous Madrid derby. They lost to PSG in the opener, but if any team can bounce back from such defeats, it has to be Real Madrid, especially under their current manager Zinedine Zidane, who got them to 3 back to back Champions League titles.

Madrid currently have an issue at left-back with Ferland Mendy struggling with a neck complaint while Marcelo has been ruled out. Nacho may start on the left while Luka Modric may also start after returning from injury as a second-half substitute against Atletico. Vinicius Junior or Lucas Vazquez could be in line for starts as Zidane sticks to 4-3-3.

Club Brugge’s performance in EPL 2019:

Club Brugge are unbeaten in the whole of the EPL 2019 season and just like Real, lead their domestic league.

Defender Federico Ricca has not played since the draw with Galatasaray but was on the bench for the clash with Mechelen at the wknd, suggesting that he could return to the XI. Eder Balanta is a doubt with a hamstring problem.

Former Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet will start between the sticks, while Hans Vanaken – who has three Champions League goals to his name this season – is also likely to feature in the 3-5-2 formation.

Real Madrid vs Club Brugge: Predicted Line-up

Real Madrid

Thibaut Courtois; Dani Carvajal, Raphaël Varane, Sergio Ramos, Nacho; Luka Modric, Casemiro, Toni Kroos; Vinicius, Karim Benzema, Eden Hazard.

Club Brugge

Simon Mignolet; Simon Deli, Matej Mitrovic, Clinton Mata; Federico Ricca, Mats Rits, Hans Vanaken, Ruud Vormer, Krépin Diatta; Emmanuel Bonaventure Dennis, David Okereke

EPL 2019: Real Madrid vs Club Brugge Prediction

  1. Real lost 2 back to back games in the Champions League for the first time since 2013, when they lost to PSG in the opener.
  2. The PSG game highlighted Madrid’s defensive fragility. However, Real have kept clean sheet in all 3 games since then. In fact, they have allowed just 1 short on target in those 3 games.
  3. Club Brugge have scored 8 goals in their last 2 games and irrespective of Real’s performance in the last 3 games, there’s no denying that the Los Blancos are vulnerable in the back and the Belgians can exploit the chance.
  4. Real failed to score against Brugge in their last 2 meetings and lost the latest one of them, back in the European Cup days in 1976-77.
  5. Real Madrid have won last 3 home games against Belgian side with an aggregate of 14-2. They haven’t lost since December 1969.
  6. Real have lost their last 2 Champions League games at Santiago Bernabéu- 3-0 to CSKA Moscow and 4-1 to Ajax.
  7. Karim Benzema has scored 5 goals this English Premier League and is likely to open his Champions League account.

Euro Qualifiers prediction: Norway vs Spain

UEFA Euro Qualifiers Prediction: Norway vs Spain

Home

September 28, 2019,

Stamford Bridge, Chelsea

Fans are certain to be on their feet when Norway host Spain in their Euro Qualifiers in Ullevaal Stadion on Sunday. With 4 teams in the group still fighting for two available berths, Norway will fight to the last bone in their body in front of their home crowd. Meanwhile, Spain are ever ready to prove that their World Cup performance last season, was just a fluke.

6 games, 6 wins, 17 goals and just 3 conceded, that’s what Spain’s record in the Euro qualifiers reads so far. With 4 games left to play, they are 8 points clear of 3rd placed Romania in Group F and are comfortably placed to book a ticket for Euro finals. A win against Norway on Sunday will only add more authority to that claims.

Meanwhile, if Norway manages to avoid a defeat they will be in a solid position to qualify from the group as the 2nd team. They trail 2nd placed Sweden by 2 points and 3rd placed Romania, who they face next, by 1 point. They face group minnows Malta and Faroe Islands in their last 2 games. So, it all comes down to this game for Norway.

Norway’s performance in EPL 2019:

Teenage sensation Erling Braut Haaland has withdrawn from the squad through injury, along with defender Ruben Gabrielsen. Kristoffer Ajer is back in the squad and should replace Tore Reginiussen at the back from the stalemate with Sweden.

Elsewhere the team may remain unchanged from said 1-1 draw, with Martin Odegaard pulling the strings and Josh King leading the line in the 4-2-3-1 formation.

Spain’s performance in EPL 2019:

Dani Carvajal and Jesus Navas compete for the starting berth at right-back.

Youngsters Sergio Reguilon and Pau Torres could make debuts, along with the in-form Gerard Moreno, who has got the nod over Paco Alcacer and Alvaro Morata to compete with current first choice and namesake Rodrigo Moreno.

Inigo Martinez, Diego Llorente and Raul Albiol are competing for the centre-back spot alongside captain Sergio Ramos.

Manchester United’s slump might result in David de Gea losing place to Kepa.

Spain are likely to stick to their 4-3-3 formation.

Norway vs Spain: Predicted Line-up

Norway

Kepa; Cesar Azpilicueta, Fikayo Tomori, Marcos Alonso, Kurt Zouma; N’Golo Kante, Jorginho, Mateo Kovacic; Willian, Mason Mount, Tammy Abraham

Spain

Kepa; Jesus Navas, Sergio Ramos, Inigo Martinez, Juan Bernat; Sergio Busquets, Fabian Ruiz, Saul Niguez; Gerard Moreno, Rodrigo Moreno, Mikel Oyarzabal.

EPL 2019: Norway vs Spain Prediction

  1. Spain have won their last 6 European Championship matches. Expect them to make it 7.

  2. Spain have scored at least 2 goals in their last 6 European Championship matches. With the tactics they use and the attacking threat they possess, don’t expect them to score anything less than that against a side that has conceded 8 goals in 6 games.

  3. Spain have been winning at both half time and full time in 5 of their last 6 European Championship matches. Something, difficult to predict, given an away fixture to Norway can always be tricky.

  4. There have been over 2.5 goals scored in Spain’s last 4 games European Championship while it has been the opposite in Norway’s last 3 games. With Norway eager to salvage something from the game and Spain known for their dominance, you can expect the game to be a goal-fest.

  5. Spain have won their last 3 matches against Norway in all competitions but Norway are undefeated in their last 5 European Championship matches. However, that run started following a loss to Spain.

  6. Spain have scored at least 2 goals in their last 3 matches against Norway in all competitions. And given the fact that a win here would give them a chance to test their bench in the next games, Spain will be eager to seal the deal and will come hard on Norway.
